3 Chapter 3

Endothermic.

Pretty cool Quirk name if I do say so myself.

It's pretty close to the actual abilities of my power not to warrant any suspicion if I reveal that I can absorb sunlight and say my Quirk mutated/evolved or gained a new aspect to it.

It's pretty rare but it sometimes happens.

The "real" description of my Quirk is-

{Quirk: [Endothermic] It allows Lionel (That's me, by the way.) to absorb and store heat to produce as well as control fire equal to how much heat he has held.

It also allows him to empower himself using said heat via the Kinetic Energy produced by the heat he has in store.

<Noted Side Effect: Increased body temperature to abnormal levels, making Lionel release steam and his veins glow. The increased temperature, however, doesn't affect Lionel, which resulted in more tests stated below.>

It also gives Lionel complete immunity to heat, even if he doesn't absorb them, possibly due to his body adapting.}

I still can't believe that my extendable nails aren't my Quirk but looking at the piece of paper that confirms that I wasn't hallucinating yesterday says otherwise.

The most unbelievable was the cliche anime moment before I manifested it. It was a spontaneous thing and quite silly as well, now that I think about it.

Wait... does that mean I'm in an anime world?!

Hold on... Quirks... I know I've heard of it before, at least in passing. Maybe it was an anime I haven't watched in my previous life? Ugh, that sucks ass.

I put the document about my Quirk inside my bedside desk and took a shower as today is the day I've dreaded since reincarnating.

School.

'Damn it. I thought I had one more year before I have to attend preschool...'

Looking around inside the classroom, I saw a boy a few chairs over to my left eating his booger and not paying attention to the smoking hot teacher in front, behind me a kid playing with his seatmate's hair totally ignoring the hot teacher, and two right in front of said teacher about to throw hands. (About to fight)

'This is a disaster. It ain't so bad though...'

I stare at the teacher's cleavage as she leaned down to stop the two boys in front from fighting. What? I was a healthy 17-year-old young man before dying. And looking at her chest is a HUGE clue that I was probably in an anime world because boobs being that big and perky are only possible in anime. I mean, the boob and jiggle physics are anime/hentai tier if this ain't an anime world.

I turned away quickly as she finished chastising the two brats and looked in my general direction for a brief moment. Hah, another clue that this world is an anime. She probably felt someone staring, the anime women's intuition at work.

Looking out the window, I saw an interesting sight.

A chase.

Probably a villain chase since the perpetrator is using his Quirk to run on the electrical lines.

One of the few interesting tidbits I learned is that there are two types of crimes. A villain crime and just the plain normal crime. The normal crime is where a CRIMINAL does illegal stuff normally and doesn't use his or her Quirk doing the deed. A villain crime is the opposite where the VILLAIN uses his/her/their Quirk to do illegal activity. If you're a normal criminal then the fines you'll receive aren't so bad compared to if you're a Villain.

More time in your sentence too if you're a Villain.

*shake*

I broke from my musing due to the shaking of my body. I turned and saw Ms. Heimsworth in front of my desk. With a raised eyebrow she asks "Are you okay, Lionel? I've been calling your name and you weren't-"

"I'm fine, teach. I just saw a hero chasing a villain and got distracted." I replied and got the reaction I wanted.

The children bolted up from their seats and ran to the windows, watching the chase with glee. Ms. Heimsworth sighed in exasperation before she tried to get the kids back to their chairs. Keyword tried. It took a few minutes before she finally got them to calm down and back into their seats.

As she was about to teach us the ABCs, the bell rang, signaling our recess.

Instead of eating or playing like the other kids in my class, I just sat under the gaze of the sun without a hint of sweat.

Storing SL (SunLight) is much more efficient from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM since the sun is at its highest but our recess is only 30 minutes long so I have to use that time wisely. I can always eat later anyway.

A tap on my shoulder brings me back from my monologue, again, into the real world. Looking back over my shoulder, I see a girl around my age. She has shoulder-length, wavy blonde hair, two thick, curling horns emerging from the sides of her head, and the long, pointed ears of a cow.

"Hello!" She greeted me with a wave and a smile.

"Hi?" I replied, a bit confused.

"What are you doing?"

"...Sitting?"

"oh... U-Uhhh, c-cool!" The girl stuttered as she plopped down.

"Sure... Why are you here?" I asked the blushing child beside me.

"U-Uhhh, well, I thought that you, uh... looked lonely sitting here alone so I decided to sit with you!"

"Uhuh..." I replied with a raised eyebrow.

She blushed even harder in embarrassment. "L-Lookie here, m-mister! My mother taught me that nobody should be alone!" Cowgirl stammered.

Huh... she's a good kid.

I smiled in response. "Your mother must be a great person..."

She gave a megawatt smile at my words. "Of course she is! She's the best mom in the world!"

This kid is too cute.

"I'm sure she is. I'm Lionel." I introduces myself as I tried to give her a handshake which she promptly took. "I'm Clara! It's nice to meet you, Lionel!"

Author's Note: If the description of Clara is familiar, well it should be. She's Cow Lady's daughter. Her appearance will basically be her mother's.
