14 Trial.

(3rd Person Pov)

Rimuru and Aizawa roamed the hallways of UA High School with Rimuru being shown the various facilities such as the various classrooms for the hero course, the cafeteria, the support course classroom, the business course classroom, as well as the staff room.

After Aizawa was done giving the basic tour, he spoke.

"Obviously, these are just the basic locations you should be aware of. There are still various other facilities such as the USJ, Fake City's, Gym and other's that can be used and accessed by both staff and students after school if they want to. However, both staff and students must get permission from the principal to be allowed to use them after school hours."

Rimuru hummed in understanding as he questioned.

"While waiting for my schedule, what should I do?"

Aizawa pondered about it for a bit before he spoke.

"I want to witness your skills firsthand. So, we will head to one of the fake city's and I will give you a mission as a test."

Rimuru nodded his head as he followed Aizawa. On their way to one of the UA Bus that would bring them to the fake city, Aizawa spoke.

"The upcoming new batch of first year students is slightly different compared to before. This year we have two students who were brought in by reccomendations."

Aizawa didnt speak for a few seconds, so Rimuru spoke instead.

"Well? Dont leave me in suspense. Who are they?"

Aizawa rolled his eyes at Rimuru's words as he answered.

"The first is the daughter of the Yaoyorozu family that you saved. And the second is the son of the number two hero Endeavor."

Rimuru mearly nodded his head as he spoke.

"Have you atleast interviewed both students to ensure that they know having powerful backgrounds wont mean that the staff should cater to them like servants?"

Aizawa shook his head as he answered.

"We dont have to do anything like that. We will already know what their personality is like during the first day of class. Should they act arrogant just because their family has powerful influence, then UA wont hesitate to expel them on the spot."

Rimuru hummed in understanding as they made their way inside the bus heading to one of the fake city's.

Upon arriving at the fake city, Rimuru looked on in awe at how massive the space of the fake city was. He was brought out of his awe by Aizawa who spoke.

"This is your task Tempest. Inside this fake city, there are several dummies used as civilians. Your job will be to either beat all the villains and rescue the civilians, or just save all the civilians."

Rimuru gazed upon the massive wall where the fake city was as he questioned.

"Are all the 'civilians' in one place or are they all scattered across the entire city?"

"They are in the same general area, but all are placed in different buildings."

Rimuru nodded his head as he pried for more info.

"Any of these buildings are planted with explosives or any hidden villains that have these 'civilians' hostage?"

Aizawa shook his head and answered.

"None that we are aware of. The 'civilians' will of course be screaming for help, so finding them shouldn't be too difficult."

Rimuru nodded his head as he faded into his spirit form. Aizawa watched Rimuru fade away as he thought to himself whilst heading to the monitor room.

'He was calm and collected during my briefing for his "mission", and he proved to understand that getting information on the current situation is also a good sign that he isnt a reckless individual even having all those quirks.

Even if this is nothing more than a trial, he still asked for any relevant information to better understand the task that is required and expected of him. But all of that information gathering will be useless if he cant properly apply it to his situation.'

Aizawa walked into the monitor room, and wasnt surprised to see Principal Nezu alongside all other staff members present to watch what Rimuru is capable of.

-(Scene Break)-

Somwhere in the massive city, Rimuru stood atop the tallest building he could find still in his spirit form. His eyes scoured up to twenty two kilometers of the city. Not allowing anything to escape his gaze.

He took notice of the number of 'enemies' around the city taking notice of where the most number of them were. His senses hightened even more through the enchantments on his mask easily allowing him to hear the cries of help from the 'civilians' he must save without having to use reinforcement.

His eyes glinted in amusement as he thought to himself.

'Oh how funny. To think they would have something like this planned for me.'

Rimuru smiled finding amusement in the way they planned on getting info on what he's capable of.

'Should I fight as an Archer, a Saber or a Lancer? Hrrm. Since this is most likely not just to get some info on my abilities, but to asses my skills in dealing with certain situations. Then, I guess It's time I pay homage to my Counter Guardian mentor.'

Rimuru closed his eyes as he entered a calm state of mind similar to his mentor when he is summoned as a counter guardian. Focusing on the task to finish it as swiftly as possible with the least amount of damage.

He opened his eyes to count the total number of enemies.

'Number of enemies exceed one hundred. Number of civilians unsure. Number of possible hidden threats to civilian safety unsure…'

Rimuru then muttered to himself.

'Information noted. Beginning process for quickest and safest procedure to handling or eliminating threats to civilian life and safety.'

He jumped from the rooftop of the building he was on, to an entirely different building. To reach the location with the most number of 'villains'.

Upon reaching the location, Rimuru heard the scream and cries for help growing louder as he gazed at the windows of various buildings counting the number of 'civilians/cardboard cut out's with speakers attached to them' that were in the buildings.

'Total number of civilians ten. Five in one office building on the third floor, three in the apartment next to it on the eleventh floor. And two in another office building right infront of the one with the five 'civilians' on the first floor. Confirmation for signs of threats amongst civilians… Negative. Initiating safest procedure to saving the civilians.'

"Trace On."

With the mental trigger of his friends smiling with him, he activated his magecraft as he came out of his spirit form holding a black bow larger than himself. He got into the basic archery stance and pulled on the bowstring as a heavy creak sounded from the bow as if the bowstring would snap at any moment.

But with the bow having been forged by Archer Emiya to be able to fire off Noble Phantasm's, the noise was nothing more than a confirmation to just how much force is needed to pull on the bowstring.

(*Creak*) (*Fwoosh*)

A single arrow materialised on the bow as Rimuru exhaled slowly and released his grip on the bowstring sending the arrow flying. And, the once single arrow that flew from the bowstring multiplied into dozens of them as they struck their targets true.

(3rd Person Pov)

The entire UA Staff watched the monitors as they spoke amongst each other.

"The fact that he has the ability to turn invisible and no one can find him is increadibly worrying"

The one who spoke was the Pro Hero Snipe. And others agreed with him.

"Indeed. And the fact that that isnt the only quirk in his possesion is even more worrying. We have no idea just what he's capable of. But I must admit, I'm curious. Why take such a huge gamble with hiring him Principal Nezu?"

This time Cementoss spoke whilst gazing at Nezu who was calmly sipping a cup of tea. He put his cup down and answered.

"Isn't it obvious? I am quite adept at reading people, and I can tell that Tempest isn't a bad individual. Suspicious? Absolutely. But I like to believe that my instincts wont have failed me in choosing a new staff member. Besides, having him here is extra beneficial to us if he really isnt connected to All For One. To posses multiple quirks, and be able to go toe to toe against All Might means that he'd be invaluable as an assest to UA. Especially when Toshinori is unable to."

Toshinori looked away knowing that he tends to waste alot of his time doing hero work even when he's about to become a teacher.

Finally, after ten minutes, Rimuru finally materialised out of his spirit form holding a massive black bow instantly capturing everyones attention. But when they saw him pulling on the bowstring without any arrows, they looked confused.

"Why the heck is he pulling on the bowstring without any arrow's?"

President Mic questioned, only for it to be answered by a single arrow materialising on the bowstring.

"Does he plan on taking out all those robots with just a single arrow?"

The Space hero Thirteen questioned. But then Rimuru released the arrow, and it burst into dozens of them accurately piercing through the box that held all the wires that allowed the robotic 'enemies' to move.

-(Scene Break)-

Rimuru watched the first hail of arrows pierce the robots and not even a second later he shot dozens more and in less than five seconds, the once fearsome robot army that numbered over a hundred were all instantly deactivated and all by a single shot from Rimuru.

"Current threats neutralised. No signs of incoming enemies. Beginning rescue of civilians."

By the end of his words, Rimuru had already faded into his spirit form as he entered the office building with the two 'civilians' first.

"Prioritise the group at the lowest floors first."

Rimuru picked up the first two cardboard cutouts before he rushed down the stairs and left them outside the building and once more fading into his spirit form, rushed to the other office buildings third floor materialising out of his spirit form, as he lifted the five cardboard cutouts and made his way out of the building.

Once again he faded into his spirit form as he gazed up to the apartments eleventh floor.

'It will take too long to rush all the way up to the eleventh floor by stairway. Reinforcement and mana burst it is.'

Rimuru reinforced his entire body, before gathering condensed magical energy around his feet as he took a deep breath and released the condensed magical energy cratering the road, and sending him flying into the sky.

"Hrrm. Seems like I've missed my target by quite alot."

Rimuru spoke to himself seeing the building looking really tiny.

"Oh well. My spirit form will just go through the floors like a ghost. So all I have to do is just go out of spirit form the moment I enter the floor with the civilians."

Rimuru allowed gravity to do its job and drag him down to the ground. And as he touched the apartment, he phased right through the rooftop sinking down.

He passed through two floors before his eyes took notice of the three cardboard cut outs, as he immeadiately phased out of his spirit form and cracked the ground on the floor he had stopped on.

Rimuru then took the remaining three cut out's, and descended the stairs until he reached the exit. He then gathered all the cut out's and placed them together as he announced.

"Alright. I'm done. So how did I do?"

All the staff members watched in surprise. Unsure of how to react to what they had just watched. Principal Nezu smiled widely as he praised Rimuru before speaking out loud for the staff to hear.

"While that was interesting, we still havent seen everything he can do. So, lets send in the weapon loaded 0 pointer robot."

'We have something like that?!'

Was what went through the mind of everyone hearing Nezu's words as he pressed a big red button.

(*Tremble*)

Rimuru watched as a single robot emerged. It towered over every single building in the false city like a Collosal Titan. Rimuru's mind scoured throughout his reality marble thinking of just nuking the massive hunk of metal with a caladbolg II. However, he decided against it, and instead picked up all the cardboard 'civilians' and ran towards a different part of the city.

(*BOOM!*) (*BOOM!*) (*CRUMBLE*)

Alas, it seems like the massive Gundam rip off had other plans and had began firing dozens of missiles, and firing heavy artiliry indiscriminately around the city. Rimuru watched indiffirently to the destruction being wrought onto the fake city.

Since there wasn't any actual civilians, Rimuru didn't really care much even if this entire city got destroyed, as it was meant for nothing more than trial purposes.

(*BOOM*)

A stray missile struck a building nearby Rimuru and the cardboard cut out's causing Rimuru to click his tounge in annoyance as he ran faster using alleyways to remain hidden from the massive robot till he was standing outside the fake city in a matter of minutes as he spoke to himself.

"There. I'm out of the city, that means the trial is over right?"

(*BOOM!*)

Rimuru frowned behind his mask before he thought of a possible reason why the trial hadn't ended.

"Maybe it's cause not all information will be accurate? Nah unlikely. So the more likely situation is that they just want me to destroy the robot.

(RUMBLE)

The robot moved through the city destroying any buildings that stand between itself and Rimuru. Rimuru sighed as he spoke aloud.

"Fine. I'll go deal with that massive tin can myself."

Motes of blue light gathered around Rimuru's palms and its shape changed to two beautifully crafted falchion sword's as Rimuru vanished from where he stood. And at the same time, several missiles were shot at him.

(*Boomx5*)

Almost everyone barring All Might only saw multiple explosions happening after Rimuru had disappeared from where he once stood. And by the time the smoke cleared, a massive inferno took its place incinerating the entire head of the zero pointer. All the while, Rimuru watched from one of the building's rooftop. His long blue hair and the dark cloak he wore fluttered about, his being illuminated by the inferno.
