"Hey! What are you doing?" Spider-Man shouted.

'Is his new plan to attack it again?' He asked himself. Now questioning the trust he had just put into the new hero, or rather, stranger...

"Just distract it! This won't take long!" Alex responded.

Thud!~

He landed, looking at the monster still struggling to get up onto its feet.

'What a lug, you'd think it's size would come with a bit of power, but it doesn't...' Alex thought, slightly disappointed.

'Alright Alex, your physical attacks have dealt zero to little damage... But it seemed to have taken some internal damage. The only issue is; Is that you have no attacks that actually targeted someone's insides...' He surmised to himself.

He shrugged at his disposition for a moment. Alex reminded himself that he was a genius. Something of this nature shouldn't be hard to replicate, or learn, he just needed to test it a few times...

'Here goes nothin'...' Alex charged towards the beast. Still trying to get up. He aimed another passive punch, straight into its stomach. causing it to fall and sink downwards into the road...

"Shit-"

'That wasn't it!' Alex thought.

Even though the strike was strong, it didn't seem to have the desired effect. The creature writhed momentarily, but its ability proved formidable. Still, he knew he was close to what he wanted to achieve...

"Hurry!" Spider-Man yelled. Alex saw that the webbing was losing its effect on the monster, and it wouldn't be blind for long either.

"I hear you!" Alex yelled back.

He charged in once again, this time, focusing in on his punch; Instead of simply causing damage to the outside of something, he needed to cause damage towards a single point, he needed something more refined, like penetration, and speed...

"I hear you!" Alex yelled back.

With a burst of energy, Alex sprinted towards it, dodging the debris scattered from their previous encounter. The beast, still disoriented, tried to rise, but Alex wasn't giving it a chance. He weaved through the chaos with agility, narrowly avoiding the monster's feeble attempts to swipe at him.

Closing in, Alex threw a rapid barrage of strikes, probing for weaknesses. Each hit, though not as impactful, contributed to disorienting the creature further. Spider-Man swung overhead, providing periodic and sporadic web cover to distract the monster.

Time was of the essence, and Alex had been fighting for a little while, and being gone for so long from Jane would be suspicious... As the creature attempted to regain its composure, he gathered all his strength for a final, decisive move.

"NOW!" He heard Spider-Man yell. He sounded as if he could tell that this was the final punch to end it all... And, it was

Alex smiled at the outburst, "I hear you, loud and clear!" he exclaimed. He clenched his fist and teeth.

'This is gonna hurt, fucker!' He smiled.

"HARRRGHHHH!!!!!"

He threw the last punch, this time, focusing into a single point, and not only that, he twisted his fist from a straight, right into a corkscrew; A literal tornado of force formed to the punch, adding even more power...

BOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's all Alex could hear. Blood dripping and hitting the floor. He slowly took his fists out of the creature's stomach, that had shrunken due to its insides being destroyed completely...

Alex heard footsteps behind himself, knowing who it likely was.

"You-You did it..." he said. He didn't think the mystery hero would actually pull it off.

"Hmph. Of course I did. I'm me." Alex said, smiling to himself under his disguise.

"That was great work... By the way, how did you do that? That last-hit you pulled off? I swore I saw an actually tornado form on your fist." He asked. Alex could hear how impressed the hero sounded, despite the situation...

Alex took note of Spider-Man's tone, noticing that he didn't allow the situation to bother him too much. Likely both a good, and bad thing for heroes like themselves...

Still, he shrugged off the thought, saying, "Because I just invented it." Alex said almost casually.

"Seriously? Are you like one of those prodigies?" Spidey asked in disbelief. Alex simply shrugged. However, not wanting to be in the lime-light anymore, Alex thought of something to get himself out of this situation quickly...

"...Enough about me; People need you, in fact, there's someone that's trapped under a rubble behind you right now." He said.

Spiderman quickly turned around, "WHERE!" However, he didn't see a soul that need help, only nearby debris...

He turned back around, "There isn't anyone—" He stopped, realizing the hooded man was gone. "—There..." He finished.

"Of course, he left..." He said to himself. He looked around the area, not seeing a anything around.

'I wanted to thank whoever that was, but it looks like he didn't want it...' Spider-Man noted, he looked around the debris, seeing the corpses laying around. And, underneath that red mask, his face was one of solemn pity...

With a poignant moment of silence, he slowly walked off, the weight of the situation settling in. he sighed silently, 'I—I should get going too...' He thought, webbing himself away, leaving behind the scene of tragedy, carried away by the echoes of an unspoken gratitude and the heaviness of the losses lives endured.
