2 Vow

I Didn't expect this to blow up in a few hours so here's another chapter.

"You will never catch me!!!!" shouted a boy being pursued by three other kids.

"Yes, Theon! You can't run forever! We will catch you!" they yelled back.

The boy being chased was Theon. Eight years had passed since his mysterious arrival in this place, and he still had no clue where he was.

He had grown into a cute kid with an arrogant demeanor. Short black hair and black-purple eyes reminiscent of Anos Voldigoad adorned his face.

A.N.- Search up if you don't know his face

The orphanage where he resided was exceedingly well-off, maybe even suspiciously so. However, Theon didn't dwell on it.

'Free good food, who would complain? Not me,' he mused.

While reflecting on his situation, he noticed certain signs that hinted they were at least in the 21st century—a Sister using a smartphone was a clear indicator.

'They avoid discussing the outside world for some reason, and there's no TV here,' he noted.

Deep in thought, he slowed down and was soon caught by the other kids.

"Haha! We finally caught Theon! You're on dish duty tonight," teased Faye, one of the boys chasing him.

"Tsk, you guys were lucky that I was distracted," responded Theon, visibly annoyed.

"Keep sulking," quipped Will.

"Yeah, yeah. Sure, and we're going to enjoy the hell out of it," added Hector.

Suddenly, the Matron called out, summoning them all.

"It's the Matron; let's go," Theon urged them.

"You've all been adopted," the Matron announced, sparking a knot of suspicion in Theon's stomach.

"All of us?" Theon questioned, his eyes narrowing at the Matron's composed demeanor.

"Yes, there are two families coming in 2 hours to pick you up," she replied calmly.

While the other boys celebrated, Theon remained cautious. Eight years in the orphanage taught him to trust his instincts, and something about the situation felt off.

As the time for their 'adoptive families' approached, an eerie sensation settled over Theon.

He secretly followed the couples who were supposed to adopt them and overheard their conversation with the Matron.

"...this place is compromised; we have to erase every trace. Take only the promising kids," said one of them.

"Yes, commander. Hail Hydra," replied the other.

'FUCK FUCK FUCK'

Panic surged through Theon. He realized he was in the Marvel universe and couldn't afford to be brainwashed by Hydra.

Urgently, Theon rallied the other kids, leading them through hidden passages he knew from his time in the orphanage.

But before they could enter, a sudden burst of gunfire erupted. Bullets sprayed the corridor, and one by one, his friends fell victim to the ruthless assault.

"NO NO NO NO" Screamed Theon

Rage surged within him, fueling an intense determination. Theon's eyes blazed with fury as he tapped into a reservoir of power that lay dormant within his being. With an outstretched hand, he caused the agents to levitate off the ground and choked to death.

Breathless and trembling with a mixture of grief and triumph, Theon stood amidst the aftermath, surrounded by incapacitated Hydra agents. Tears streamed down his face as he grappled with the weight of the tragedy that unfolded before him.

"I-I tried to save them," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion. "I didn't want this…"

Alone in the eerie silence, a resolve surged within him. Theon clenched his fists, his gaze hardening with determination.

"I swear," he murmured, his voice tinged with a fervent promise, "I will avenge you all. I won't rest until Hydra pays for what they've done."

"Hydra, mark my words: I'll bring justice knocking at your door, and I won't be alone."
