Nine months had slipped away since Theon had acquired the Kyber crystal, yet the creation of his lightsaber remained an unfulfilled aspiration. Despite his ardent search within Forge's workshop, the essential materials eluded him.

'Guess I'll have to get out of the school in a few years.'

/United Nations HQ, New York city/

"Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed citizens of our nation, I stand before you not as a harbinger of fear, but as a voice of reason and security.

"For too long, we've turned a blind eye to the growing menace among us—mutants. These individuals wield powers beyond our comprehension, powers that threaten the very fabric of our society.

"We've seen the devastation caused by unchecked mutant abilities—chaos, destruction, lives shattered. How long can we allow such unchecked power to roam freely among us, endangering our families, our communities?

"The time for action is now. We cannot afford to wait for the next catastrophic event to occur. We must take decisive steps to protect ourselves and our way of life.

"That's why I propose strict legislation to monitor and control these dangerous abilities. Registration, regulation—these are not measures of discrimination but of prudence. We must identify mutants, understand their powers, and ensure they do not pose a threat to our society.

"We cannot let fear dictate our actions, but we cannot ignore the dangers lurking within our own neighborhoods. It's not about hate; it's about safeguarding our future.

"I urge you, my fellow citizens, to support this legislation. Together, let us take a stand against the looming threat of mutant abilities. Let us secure a safer, more peaceful world for ourselves and future generations. Thank you."

Watching the senator Kelly speech at the news Theon thought:

'Fuck'

Theon's thoughts flickered with a mixture of disappointment and resignation. Despite hoping for a different outcome in the years following the events depicted in the X-Men comics and movies, the resurgence of anti-mutant sentiment signaled an ongoing struggle.

"Looks like old habits die hard," he muttered to himself, recognizing the familiar tones of fear and distrust echoing from the fictional worlds he'd delved into. Theon understood that the patterns of conflict between mutants and those opposed to them often echoed the narratives he'd come to know, and Senator Kelly's speech served as an unwelcome reminder of that reality.

Theon's mind raced, weighing the consequences of his next move. The idea of replicating Magneto's machine filled him with unease. "No," he muttered to himself, shaking his head. "I can't risk creating an 'All for One' ."

As he pondered potential countermeasures, a sudden realization struck him like a bolt of lightning. "Mystique is already here!" Panic surged through him, urging him into immediate action.

Entering a heightened state of focus, Theon tapped into the Force, swiftly scanning for Rogue's mental signature within the school. To his dismay, she wasn't there. Instead, he swiftly located Bobby.

Rushing over, Theon confronted Bobby urgently. "Bobby, do you know where Marie is?"

"Hey, Theon. Marie left with Professor Logan," Bobby replied casually.

"No! Logan's here! Damn it!" Theon exclaimed, his distress evident as he processed the gravity of the situation.

"Are you alright, man?" Bobby asked, concerned by Theon's sudden shift in demeanor.

"Bobby, she's been kidnapped!" Theon blurted out, his sense of urgency escalating.

"Who?" Bobby inquired, his tone turning serious.

"The Magneto gang took her! We need to find Professor Xavier. We can't handle this alone," Theon exclaimed, his anxiety palpable.

Theon's inner turmoil heightened as the unexpected events unfolded. His foreknowledge, typically a source of assurance, became a weight as reality diverged drastically from what he knew. "I despise this Marvel AU," he muttered under his breath, feeling the weight of an altered timeline pressing down on him.

Breathless and wide-eyed, Theon burst into Xavier's office, his urgency palpable. "Professor Xavier, we have a problem!" he blurted out, trying to collect his thoughts amid the chaos in his mind.

Xavier, sensing the distress in Theon's voice, regarded him attentively. "What's happened, Theon?"

"Mystique has abducted Marie!" Theon's words spilled out in a rush, his frustration and panic evident.

"Eric," Xavier murmured in concern.

"Follow me, we'll go to Cerebro," Xavier directed, preparing to stand.

"No! Mystique might have tampered with it. Using Cerebro could trigger a blackflash," Theon interjected urgently.

"You're right. Go summon Professor Forge, and I'll contact the other team members," Xavier instructed, swiftly adapting his plan based on Theon's warning.

Xavier swiftly contacted the core members of the X-Men, each critical to the team's success in handling crises. "Logan, Storm, Cyclop, Beast, and Jean, assemble in the command center immediately," Xavier's voice echoed through the school's intercom, urgency lacing his tone.

As Xavier marshaled his team, Theon dashed through the corridors, seeking out Professor Forge's expertise. Bursting into Forge's workshop, Theon's breaths came in hurried gasps as he relayed the urgent situation. "Professor Forge, Mystique has abducted Marie. We need your help to repair Cerebro!"

Forge, already amidst an intricate repair project, glanced up with a grave expression. "Marie? Understood. Lead the way."

Together, Theon and Forge hurried to the underground facility, intent on repairing Cerebro.

In the command center, the X-Men assembled, their expressions a mix of concern and readiness. Xavier stood at the forefront, his voice projecting authority as he addressed the team. "Mystique has captured Marie. She's in grave danger. Our priority is her rescue. However, Mystique's interference with Cerebro complicates matters. Forge and Theon are working to repair it, but time is of the essence."

Logan's clenched fists revealed his agitation, while Storm's resolve shone in her eyes. Cyclops, focused and determined, nodded in agreement. Beast, furrowed in thought, processed the urgency of the situation. Jean, with her telepathic abilities, stood poised to assist.

Xavier continued, "We need to act swiftly and decisively. Once Cerebro is operational, we'll track Mystique's movements and locate Marie. Our mission is to bring her back safely. Are we clear?"

A chorus of determined affirmations echoed through the room as the X-Men prepared to embark on their rescue mission, their camaraderie and determination serving as their guiding strength in the face of adversity.

"But what would they need Marie for?" Logan's gruff voice cut through the tension in the room.

Xavier paused, considering Logan's question, but before he could respond, he was abruptly halted as a frantic man barged into the room, pleading for help.

The X-Men reacted swiftly, Storm creating a gentle breeze to soothe the room, while Beast and Jean rushed to examine the fallen man.

"Who is he?" Cyclops asked, concern etching his voice.

Struggling to regain his composure, the man managed to speak between labored breaths. "Please... I need help..."

"Who's after you?" Xavier inquired, his tone calm yet concerned.

Before the man could respond, his body convulsed, and he collapsed to the floor, unconscious.

As the X-Men assessed the situation, Jean's gaze narrowed. "Isn't that the Senator Kelly?"

The revelation sparked a mix of surprise and concern among the X-Men. Xavier's expression shifted from curiosity to a mix of alarm and intrigue. "Senator Kelly? How did he end up like this?"
