Max's mind exploded, not because of the golden draw, but because of the Mukluan Rings. These rings were obtained by Mandarin from a Mukluan crashed spaceship, which made him a powerhouse of Sorcerer Supreme level.
"System, quickly show me info on Mukluan rings (upgraded ver.)," Max couldn't contain his excitement, as the normal Mukluan Rings were already powerful, and he wanted to see what the upgraded ones looked like.

"Mwahahahaha! Now I am invincible! Hahahahaha!" Max laughed villainously.
Meanwhile, Pepper in the kitchen wondered, "I should ask my friends for advice; I feel worried for Max," murmured Pepper, hearing Max's weird laugh.
"Ahem, System, do two random rolls. I'm feeling lucky," Max said while admiring the ten simple platinum rings on his fingers.

"Congratulations, Host, for obtaining Two Servant Template Cards," the System announced.
"Hmm, show me the details of this new prize," Max returned his focus to the system upon hearing about template cards.

"Damn, from where should I get servants now," Max sighed, as his new reward proved temporarily unusable.
"Well, whatever. Show me details. Which characters are these cards actually?" Max put aside his worry as Mukluan or Shang-chi Rings were enough for now.

"Also, System, will they-the host, inherit the personalities of the characters?" Max asked, as Overlord characters basically didn't have any regard for human lives.
[They will inherit all positive traits, Host. Meaning, if Host gets a villain card next, it will become a hero in Host's hands, though the chance of obtaining template cards is 1 in 1000.]
"What a cocktail of good and bad news," Max said.
"System, can UP be used to upgrade my Race?" Max asked, half expectantly, as UP could be used universally.
[Yes, it can. It will require 1000 UP to go from Common to Uncommon Rank.]
"Profiteer system, are you sure you are not stealing?" Max cursed after seeing the price for evolution.
[Breaking the genetic code requires more Energy, Host, as it's balance-breaking after a certain point. Currently, no one will notice, but if you upgrade it to an Epic rank, Host will gain the attention of Cosmic Entities.]
"Gulp I was hoping for a simple upgrade. How did it become so troublesome?" Max wiped the sweat on his forehead after hearing the System.
"By the way, what advantages would I obtain after increasing my species rank to an uncommon grade?" Max asked, as it had to be something good if all those troubles were involved.
[Host will gain a 500% increase in intelligence and adaptability. The rest are 100% increases.]
"Okay, do it. An intelligence increase is enough for me to go on this dangerous path," Max said.
[Most important is adaptability, though, as it can allow Host to survive in harsh conditions.]
