122 Madam Gao

As Sam looked at the data passed to him by Daredevil, Elisa explained other things about the organization to Daredevil.

Soon they went on their own way, with Daredevil returning to his office and Sam and Elisa heading to a location given by Daredevil and cross-checked by Alisa (A.I. of Max).

After some traveling, they reached Chinatown.

"Chinatown, is the Hand from China?" Elisa asked.

"Related to their spiritual stuff," Sam answered.

"Hmm, I thought Buddha is from India," Elisa said, puzzled.

"He is, but he was just another incarnation of one of the Supreme Deities in Hindu Mythology," Sam explained.

"Like other incarnations, his work was to help the world, and spiritual practice and yoga-related stuff were the studies he taught," Sam continued. "A king, whose name I forgot, was obsessed with immortality, so he spread Buddha's teachings to ancient China, hoping someone might take these teachings to the next level, allowing him to become immortal."

"A large number of faiths about immortality led to the formation of ancient lands like K'un Lun and other spirit lands," Sam added.

"Formed, not existed already?" Elisa asked.

"There are beings who have the power to shape realities. They found this immortality stuff entertaining. Using their powers, they made it possible, and hence K'un Lun, where they gather life energy and manipulate it, was born," Sam explained.

"It was on a whim of those beings. As for why I am not saying their names, names have power, especially if it's related to absurdly powerful beings like them. If I spoke their name, they will know of us," Sam cautioned.

"And we are not ready to face them... yet," Sam said, and Elisa nodded in understanding.

"This world is getting more and more mysterious," Elisa sighed.

"Hahaha, then let me tell you more interesting stuff as a bonus. An ancient robot is encaged in our Earth's core, and even I can't defeat it," Sam said.

"You can't, but Max can, right?" Elisa asked.

"Yes, it will be easy for him, but I am pretty sure he would love to add him to his own collection rather than destroy it. Not that it is possible either," Sam said.

"By the way, who caged it?" Elisa asked.

"Living... I almost spoke his name. Just know he is the third strongest in our universe," Sam said.

"Hmm, and the being who made K'un Lun?" Elisa asked.

"He ranked second," Sam said, then stopped and said, "We are here."

Elisa looked ahead and saw a canopy building like in China, with golden Oriental dragons carved on it.

"Beautiful," Elisa murmured.

"Hmmm," Sam nodded, and then they entered the building.

"There she is," Sam said after some touring of the building, pointing out the lady whose body was brimming with life energy.

"Isn't that Aura?" Elisa said as they made their way to Madam Gao.

"It's called Chi here, anyway it's life energy," Sam replied.

Soon they went and sat across from Madam Gao.

"Can I help with something?" Madam Gao asked.

"You can, but why don't you guess it?" Sam smiled and said.

"Hmm, let me guess then," Madam Gao nodded, then looked at Sam and Elisa.

"Your lower part is not working, and you are here for some Chinese medicine," she said.

Sam and Elisa were speechless, then Elisa burst into laughter.

Madam Gao raised her hand to stop the others, then said to Sam, "Show me your hand, let me check your pulse."

Seeing her honest look, Sam's lips visibly twitched. He said, "What a coincidence, I am also here for the 'Hand'."

Madam Gao's calm demeanor vanished, as did the demeanor of her black-suited guards.

"Let's talk somewhere else," she said, and Sam made a please gesture.

She nodded, and together they reached the back of the building. From there, they entered a secret door and arrived at a big hall, where the number of black-suited guards was much higher.

"Now speak," she said, while Sam looked at the guards.

"Don't worry, they won't kill you. For now, that is," she laughed.

"I am not scared, I was just checking whom I can kill and whom I can't," Sam chuckled and said, then traced something in mid-air.

Madam Gao looked at his hands and said, "A thread?"

Sam nodded, then pulled the thread, causing various heads to fly off the bodies, leaving only a few of the black-suited guards left.

Sam looked at them and said, "Don't worry, your family members won't be harmed. Just go back home." As he said this, the others looked at the dead bodies, nodded, and left.

As they left, Madam Gao asked, "What are you?"

"Do you know this?" Sam said as his hands engulfed in golden flames.

"A manifestation of Chi outside the body!"

"You are a master from K'un Lun?" She exclaimed.

"I call it Aura," Sam said, then the flames vanished.

"Just leave it. Tell me, why did you target Virginia Potts?" Sam asked.

"That woman? We just wanted the transformer tech," Madam Gao said.

"Hmm, that's it? But you could have stolen it. Why target her?" Sam said.

"We tried, but the car wouldn't budge," she replied.

"I see," Sam nodded, then stood up and started leaving.

Madam Gao sighed as she saw him leaving, but then she heard him, causing her to pale in fright.

"Almost forgot your punishment, hmm, I will just take your limbs for now, that is."

Slice!!

Four limbs flew, leaving trails of blood.

"Aarghhh!"

And a heart-piercing scream was heard.

"Are you done?" Elisa asked.

"Yeah, it seems so," Sam replied, casting a glance at the timid people standing behind her and nodding.

"They were captives," Elisa explained.

Sam then turned his attention to the building and made a hand gesture, his words echoing, "Tailoring God Thread Arts: Final Casket."

Elisa and the others watched as translucent threads formed a cage around the building, then engulfed it completely. As they passed by the building, it was sliced into billions of pieces.

Sam nodded and then they left, dropping and leaving the captives in Dare Devil care.
