5 The Assasin

A man in black covering his whole body was standing at the top point on the roof of the north building which gave him the full view of the ongoing assault.

To his right, a man with bulging muscles, "Hahaha… so much for that much planning, it seems we will be able to achieve your objective quickly" Looking at the sliding car of their target, he couldn't help but laugh.

But he shut up quickly, the guy in black turned his head and looked at him with his intense scarlet red eyes, "Do you think this attack just happened without planning, do you know just how many decoys of the guy are running around the country, do you even know that even decoy has their decoy team which is almost similar to the original one, do you know that if this attack continued for more than 5 minutes we will be the one who will be surrounded" as he continues to speak his voice started to get more agitated, while the man with muscle was trembling, due to the voice of the man in black and because he didn't know who they were messing with.

"Thankfully we managed to find a traitor in their ranks that's why this seems so easy and look they are getting desperate and walking toward their death," the man in black said while looking at the group of men who were covering for a figure toward a dead end alley while slowly following them.

'SHIIG' a sword was taken out from its sheath from the back of the man in black.

"Have your man retreat and cover for an opening and look out for their reinforcement." Saying that the man was about to jump off the building.

"But wouldn't it be easy to just overwhelm them with firepower" The muscle man spoke in confusion.

"Do as you are said, you have been paid to follow my orders, so shut up and follow my orders, Tskk" The assassin clicked his tongue "If they had taken a train then it would have been enough with only us" he whispered and jumped while his mouth said a word

 " Hajime".

From every corner of the buildings, black shadow-like figures started to converge around the alley.

Richard and his group are currently inside the alley with their back turning toward the dead end. As soon as they reached toward the end the sound of gunshot ended.

"What's…. hah happening, why …did they stop shooting?" a security guard with his gun still pointed toward the alley entrance in a hurried voice with a short breath.

"I don't know" Tiffany was also in confusion, she thought that they would be bombarded with more power and concentrated force when they converged in one spot.

While at the back of the team, Richard was grateful that he got the barrier fruit and upgraded it up until level 6 because at that level the barrier he could produce was increased by 10 times reaching about 20 meters.

"Captain I have a bad feeling about it, you should retreat with sir, we will cover for you two." The security member from earlier said.

"No, I will not abandon you guys here to your death Luke" Rischard spoke his intention to the security guard.

Luke's expression changed "Sir, pleas---

"Well, well, well, at least you got some courage in you" A voice suddenly broke the silence of the alley, slowly a man in his black clothing entered the alley while speaking,

Only his step echoed throughout the alley, while he was slowly surrounded by many black shadows with their face covered appearing behind him in formation.

They stopped 5 meters in front of the group.

Tiffany seeing them standing in front of them so openly without guns felt something wrong but she didn't think much about it, she reached out of her thigh holster for the gun and pointed It toward the figure's order.

"FIRE!!"

"Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!! Bam!!"

"THUD!!! TING!! TING!! TING!! TING!! THUD!! TING!! TING!! TING!! TING!!THUD!! TING!! TING!! TING!! TING!!THUD!! TING!! TING!!"

The Leader of the group swung his sword skillfully while dodging and intercepting, similarly his subordinates but they were not as skilled as their leader

Looking at the spectacle in front of them, Tiffany and the security member's expressions changed, while Tiffany and some security expressions hardened, to some despair slowly settling in.

While Richard with his calm expression was looking forward as if everything was under control.

As soon as the shooting ended the leader looked behind him at the 4 downed figures on the ground "Tsk useless…" clicked his tongue and turning his head he looked toward Richard's group,

Founding something peculiar, "It's quite impressive that you can still keep your calm in this situation, I thought the greenhouse flower that kingpin raised would be scared shitless by now." He spoke curiously,

Tiffany hears and says "You know that sir is kingpin's son, still dared to attack, do you have any idea what he will do you if you do anything to sir?"

Tiffany was astonished because even if Kingpin wasn't at the top of Underworld in the New York City, he was still well known in the Underworld as a rising figure who had destroyed multiple organizations.

"huh…" Looking at her the leader smirked but couldn't be seen as his face was covered similarly to his subordinates, but didn't reply and looked toward RIshard looking toward his reply, anyway they still had 2 or 3 minutes till backup arrived.

Richard seeing the leader looking toward him, walked forward while pushing Tiffany and the security guards beside still having relaxed faces, expressions changing one security guard was about to call him but Tiffany stopped him by placing her hand on his shoulder and shaking her head.

"Father indeed made a mistake by coddling me by protecting me from this dark world, but given that, you came for me but not attack my father then either you are here to kill me or your mission has something to do with me, because according to the skills you displayed and that firepower you attacked us with you aren't one of those my father destroyed so no revenge, so why don't you say why are you attacking me" Richard calmly deduced while trying to buy time, because even though he has gained barrier fruit he couldn't use it more efficiently as well as he was waiting for something.

Hearing that the leader was even more interested because according to the information he received, the boy wasn't what it said.

"I see you have deduced much from that, and I can also see that you are trying to buy more time but it's no use," The leader said while looking straight into Richard's eyes.

 Richard too looked straight into the leader's eyes, for a moment they looked at each other, tension was palpable in the air, just as the leader had it enough and was about to open his mouth,

"You know that poison you gave me was quite powerful," Richard said.

Hearing that the leader and Tiffany along with security members eyes widened,

"What!!" The leader was surprised 'How is it possible, he knew about the poison? I thought that plan failed when his team didn't change their plan,' The leader thought rapidly in his head.

He looked and Rischard who had a smile on his face and had a bad feeling inside him, so he hurriedly ordered "Attack!!"

Richard whose smile got even wider and spoke "Thank you for waiting".
