Killing A King And What Did The Portal Do? Chp 52

I blocked Zeus's stab with Zenith making a shockwave that broke the ground underneath us more cracks appearing on Zeus' skin as it began steaming.

"What did you do" I demanded to know as he wasn't supposed to have any of the powers he has displayed.

"I became the one true god of this world," He said with a deranged voice

I grabbed him by the throat and slammed him to the ground.

He blasted me in the chest with a lightning bolt that felt wrong.

The lightning hit me and it stung but my adaptation took care of it. I noticed his bolt shaking for some reason.

He went to stab me but I parried his strike and it made sparks come out as more cracks begin to spread around his body as he began screaming in pain as his body began bulging even more.

I sent a punch at his face as it deformed and took a few teeth out of his mouth as his blood began acting more like a very powerful acid as it burned the ground.

Hera said that if I didn't kill him he would explode

I went to stab him in the chest

He sent a powerful blast towards me as I noticed that it turning things around it into dust I blocked it however it hit the ninth Makluan ring.

I tried to absorb the energy however it just kept going into the ring.

Zeus turned the blast into a beam that is being absorbed into it.

Zeus was screaming in pain as his entire being turned into a goo pile that looked like it was about to detonate.

"The power that he has doesn't belong to him," Hera yelled "Kill him, kill him now,"

I ignored the ring and stabbed him in the chest before he turned into goo and punched his head off which made my knuckles hurt.

The energy that the ring was absorbing was becoming too much even after sending as much energy as possible into the Phantom Zone.

A portal opened and I couldn't see anything as I noticed myself being pulled in and I tried to fly over to Jean and Hera as they were also being pulled into it even with the bubble being around them both.

I dug my feet into the ground and I noticed Zeus' spear which appeared to be deactivated as it just looked like a golden Bo staff and I grabbed it and quickly strapped it to my back. The bubble Jean and Hera who I saw still had a lot of injuries she could talk again but I could tell that she was straining herself heavily to talk. The bubble began going into the portal with them inside as I grabbed onto it as finally, we went in as the bubble;e began to dissipate.

We were screaming in complete pain and scared as we began to lose our senses. I turned as best as I could and noticed the portal around the looked like it was more of a crack than anything.

("What is happening") Jean said in my mind in pain.

("I don't know") I responded as I felt every part of my being torn asunder.

I looked at Hera who seemed to be unconscious with a silent scream. I made another bubble around us and it gave us a bit of time to rest about a few seconds as the energy quickly began fading away. I used SpeedForce energy to enhance the bubble and it seemed to work even better.

But the drain was too much as I noticed my core draining rapidly. I tried using the energy in the Phantom Zone but it felt different, muted.

("Look") Jean said weakly

I turned to look to where she is looking and saw something bright really bright. After a few moments we reached it and we crashed into the making a sound that made it seemed like it was glass.

We landed in an alleyway as everything seemed normal.

"Maybe we went through a portal that took us back home," I said when I got no response I looked at Jean and saw that she was unconscious same as Hera.

I tried getting energy from the Zone but it felt like it was far away extremely far away. I couldn't draw on it for power, the Crimson Energy was the same. The SpeedForce is another matter when I felt it I was shocked because of the connection. In my mental representation of it, it looked like a string that looks like it is about to snap stretching somewhere unknown to me.

"Great my core is nearly empty and have no idea where I am at all at least my solar energy reserves seem fine my adaptation seems to be slower for some reason," I said to myself trying to calm myself I began hearing and seeing through walls trying to find information as to where I am. After I made sure to keep both Jean and Hera safe.

Something caught my attention as I looked at a television in the bar a few streets away and saw a man flying down from the sky dressed in a white and red suit with an o on his chest he looked likes James Jonah Jameson with that mustache as he began to speak.

"I fought the unimaginable in defense of this world I battled alien tyrants, defeated nightmares from the deep gone toe to toe with ancient gods. But no matter what threat I faced I knew I wasn't facing it alone, Darkwing, Aquarius, War Woman, Green Ghost, Red Rush, Martian Man Immortal today we have lost titans, protectors, Heroes, and we are left to wonder. Who will save us now? I will so will others like new heroes answering the call. New Heroes, ready to risk everything to keep this planet all inspired by these great souls who came before us. You will have moments of doubt, of fear, of uncertainty but in those moments have faith and look to the sky" He finished by flying away into the sky.
