Chapter 29 I need you
“I don’t know how to ask him for money.”
“Ok, just call him to come and leave the rest to me” Bridget begged.
“Fine I will try.” Christy said.
They arranged on how to see Paul and Christy made the call.
"What? Are you sure?" Paul ask.
"Yes, but she said you need to pass through her before she will allow me to see you and also cover for me."
"Fine just ask her to meet me at this address."
He send Christy the address and ask her to give it to Bridget.
"Thank you so much Christy" Bridget wanted to hug her but she refuse.
"Why do you always refuse me hugging you.?"
"Because you only do that when you want something from me."
"Whatever," she said and rush out to meet Paul.
"Yes,...why do you ask to see me?" Paul ask Bridget.
"Because I know that Christy is dying to see you, so I came up with an idea, but nothing goes for nothing."
"What do you want?" Paul ask.
"Money of course."
"How much?"
"30k"
"Give me your account number."
"What? Just like that?"
"Do you need the money or not."
"Yes, sure", she brought out her phone and start searching for the number.
"What? Is that not the phone I bought for Christy?"
"Yes, no, this is mine" Bridget took the phone back into her bag.
"Give it to me, I want to check something."
“No, is my phone, are you giving me the money or not.”
“Am not giving you any money until you tell me where you got that phone from”.
“Fine, is the phone you got for her.”
"Why are you using it?" Paul ask so angry.
"Because she didn’t know how to use iphone so I exchange mine with hers."
Paul was so disappointed, he didn’t want to give Bridget the money again but he needed to see Christy and ask her why she gave the phone to Bridget and to also know her reasons why, maybe she didn’t love him that much and that is why she doesn't treasure the gift he gave her.
"Give me the account number and make sure to bring her with you after this transaction, do you hear me?"
"Just do your part and I will do mine."
Paul gave her the money and she hurried back inside.
"Did you see Paul?" Christy ask.
"Yes."
"Did he give you the money?"
"Yes, but he is angry."
"About the money?, I told you is a bad idea". Christy started to get worried.
"Is not the money, that guy has money, he is angry about the phone."
"Shit... look what you've done now, he is going to get angry at me."
"Just go and beg him, he will forgive you because he loves you". Bridget said pushing her to go.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, am very sure, rich guys don’t get angry for long, just go."
Christy rushed out and call Paul.
"Come to that address I gave you."
"Ok" Christy went there and when Paul saw her he got up, for some reasons he didn't have the courage to shout at her as he has intended.
Christy rush into his arms and they lock in an embrace.
"How are you?" Paul ask examining her up and down.
"Have you eaten? Come let me take you somewhere nice."
“Ok", Christy said so happy to be with Paul.
He drove her out of town smiling as he drivers seeing how happy she was makes him happy.
"Why are you so happy?" he ask.
"Because am with you."
"Really?, do you miss me that much?"
"Yes, I even wanted to cry some times."
"Really? You should just call me anytime you miss me," Paul said so happy to hear that from Christy.
"I should call you any time any day?"
"Yes, you are free to call me any time any day."
"Ok, I thought you will get angry at me, from now on I will be calling you any time and any day."
"Thant’s my girl."
"Here we are, you will love this place."
"Wow… this place is beautiful, are we going to eat here?" She ask in surprise.
"Yes, let’s go inside."
"Ok", she jump out of the car, she has been dreaming to come to a place like this, but thank goodness Paul has brought her here.
They went inside and Paul started ordering all the food he thought Christy would love.
"Just keep eating ok, I want you to enjoy yourself."
"Ok, you too should eat" she ask Paul to join her.
"Ok, if it will make you happy then I will eat too."
They both eat and are happy.
"Christy.." Paul called.
"Yes"
"Why is Bridget using the phone I bought for you.?"
"Ohh.." she looked at Paul and didn’t want him to get angry, she remembered what Bridget told her so she quickly went on her kneels.
"Am sorry, forgive me, I won’t do it again, I didn’t know how to use the phone so Bridget took it from me."
"Stand up", Paul bead to pick her up. "Is fine just get up."
"Have you forgiven me?"
"Yes, I have, just get up."
"But please if I get you another one don’t you ever give it to Bridget again."
"Yes, I promise."
"Ok, come to me" he hug and kiss her.
"No.. don’t " she pulls away from Paul.
"Why?" Paul ask in surprise.
"Can’t you see that people are here?, They will see us."
"Hahaha" Paul laugh at Christy, "This people are all minding their business ok, no one have time for anyone else here."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, am very sure but don’t worry if you are not comfortable I will not do it again."
Paul couldn’t just get enough of Christy, he love everything about her, he love the fact that she is not one of the high class girls he sees everywhere in his school and his circle of friends, he is cool with the way she is, not claming to be anyone."
"Heyy.. Paul how are you?" A voice called out to Paul, he turned around and it was Sonia, Paul use to bring Sonia to this place when they were dating so is not a surprise to see her here.
"Heyy... Sonia how are you?"
"Am fine", she said looking at Christy up and down.
"And who is she?"
"My friend", Paul said.
"Hmmm, you didn’t tell me you make friends who looks like this". she said making a face.
And Christy hate it when Paul’s friends look at her like that.
"Is ok, we are about going out anyways, nice to meet you Sonia" Paul said and took Christy to leave but Sonia block the way.
"You didn’t tell me you are leaving me for this" looking at Christy again up and down.
"Sonia that’s enough", Paul said pushing her aside.
"You push me because of this thing?"
"I said that is enough", Paul yells at Sonia and everyone turn to look at them.
"Fine, go ahead with your dirty girls, they are not my type, get someone that will make me jealous Paul and stop going out with pigs."
Paul turn around and gave Sonia a slap that send her flying through the glass of the restaurant.
"What is going on here", the restaurant attendant rush Paul, holding him not to hit Sonia again.
"You need to pay for this" the attendant said as Paul was about to leave without paying for the damage.
"Fine how much is it?"
"Let me call my boss", he brought out his phone and made the call and Paul pay for the damage and took Christy out.
Christy was so sorry for what happen, is because of her, she has cost Paul more problem just in one day, she began to regret coming out of the house.
"Is not your fault ok, she insulted you first so is not your fault, come let’s go."
They entered the car and Paul took Christy to a hotel.
"Where is this?" she ask.
"I want us to cool off here, then I will take you home ok."
She nods.
They entered the hotel room and Paul throw himself on the bed facing downwards and not talking to Christy.
"What should I do now?" Christy ask herself, "Maybe he is still angry", she wanted to touch him but withdrew her hand.
Paul was thinking about the incident and how Christy is taking it right now, "Will she get angry about Sonia? I hope she doesn’t get angry at me."
Christy sat there not knowing what to do because Paul wasn’t talking to her.
"Paul.. are you ok? Are you still angry at me?"
"No, why will I be angry at you?", he turn to face her, "Come here" He call and Christy went to him.
"He hug her so tightly, I will never get mad at you no matter what ok."
Christy nods.
"I want to make love to you", he whispers into her ear.
"Huh…" Christy eyes opens wide and her heart stated beating very fast.
