Chapter 18 Not Fair
"I mean the girl you are seeing,
the one we saw that day."
"Christy has nothing to do with
what you did, so just leave her out
of this"
"Ohh.. so her name is Christy?,
hmm that is interesting." She hanged
up on Paul.
"Hello....hello Sharon what are you
going to do?" Paul ask but Sharon
hanged up already.
"Shitt.. what is wrong with this
girl? I don’t want her calling me,
now she wants to add Christy in
her bag of trouble."
Before Paul could turn, there she is.
"Sharon!"
"Heyy.. Paul" she call waving her
hands as if she didn’t know what
she was doing.
"What did she want here?" Paul turned
to go another direction but his
mom was coming from that
direction so Paul stood there until
the women came and caught up
with him.
"Heyy.. Sharon you are here" Paul’s
mom ask very happy to see her.
"And you, why is your face like that?
are you not happy to see her?" She
ask Paul but he did not say anything.
So she turned to Sharon and "Don’t
mind him ok, he likes you, he is just pretending, he bought you a necklace,
has he given it to you?"
"No ma, but I think he will give it to
me today".
"Ok, let me leave you guys then", she
said and walk away.
"What is she talking about"? Paul ask
himself.
"Hey.. Paul, your mom said you
bought something for me?"
"Something like what?"
"Something like expensive necklace."
"What! I didn’t pay that for you."
"So you bought it for that girl right?,
ok, I will just tell your mom so she
stop raising my hopes."
"What are you guys even saying, how
can I buy you a necklace?, you are
not my girlfriend ok". Paul yell.
"Stop shouting, must you always
show how much you hate me?"
Sharon ask.
"So you know I hate you, then what
do you want from me?, just stay away"
"No, am not staying away."
"Why?"
"Because I love you and I believe
that you will love me back someday."
"Let me tell you this Sharon, that
day will never come, so the earlier
you wake up from your sleep the
better for you".
"So you want to tell me that you
didn’t feel anything after that day?"
"After which day?" Paul ask.
"The day we made love, at the club’s restroom."
"I didn’t make love to you, you raped
me, I should sue you for that."
"Shee…. Please bring your voice down,
do you want to tell me that you
didn’t enjoy it, because I did and I remembered you wanted more of it."
"That is because I thought you are
Christy."

that girl gave you?"
"Sincerity", Paul yell.

Sharon ask Paul.

begin with."
"What?"
"Yes, first you drug me and have
sex with me, and you wanted to
push me into drugs"
"But that was not want I wanted to
do, forgive me already."

Christy stood there watching as
Bridget took everything from her
that Paul gave her, except for the
necklace she hides in her pocket.
"I will be the one using it ok, so
mom won’t ask you where you
get it from, or can you explain
how you get them?" Bridget ask
when she saw the look on
Christy’s face.
"Is fine you can use them", she left
everything with Bridget who was
so happy with the iphone. She
start taking series of pictures and
uploaded them on her social handle
tagging it, "my boo just got me an
iphone"
Everyone start commenting asking
to see the picture of her new guy
which she promise to upload when
next they meet.
Paul waited for Christy’s call but it
wasn’t coming, he thought of
visiting her but, no, she should
call him first.
"Why is she not calling?" Paul held
his phone looking at it,
He waited and waited but no call,
so he decide to call.
"Heyy.. Christy can I see you today?"
"What? Today, I will love to but I
need Bridget before I can come out to see you."
"Ok, give her the phone."
"Bridget Paul wants to talk with you".
"Really"? She took the phone.
"Hi Paul how are you doing?"
"Am doing great, please can you
help Christy out of the house?"
"Sure, but what will you give in return?"
"I don’t understand."
"Yea, I give you something you also
give me something, so what will
you give me in return if I get Christy
out for you."
"Ok, name your price, how much do
you want?"
"No, I don’t need money"

Paul pause..
"Hello Paul are you there?" Bridget ask.

"Ok, I want us to go out alone just
the two of us, that will be my
payment."

if you promise to behave."
"Ok, I am coming out with Christy
right away."
"Where are you girls going to?"
The mother ask.
"We are taking out the trash" Bridget
said not allowing Christy to say
a word.
"Why are you always defending her
this days?" The mother ask Bridget.
"Nothing, let’s say am making sure
she didn’t do anything stupid."
"Hmm, what’s my business if she
does something stupid? I will just
throw her out of this house," the
mother yell.
"Don’t worry mom, my eyes are
always on her".
"Move you idiot" Bridget yells at her,
"Make sure to take the bag of
thrash with you."
"Yes," Bridget
"My friend get out of here," the
mother said making a face as if
Christy is smelling.
"Mom don’t worry I will deal with
her in this house."
"Nonsense, that is how her mother
was doing as if she was better than
me, now where is she, am going to
deal with you in this house", the
mother said.
Paul saw Christy and rushed to hug
her, but Christy started crying.
"What is wrong with you?"
"Everything, paul everything is
wrong with me, I just want to die"
"No, you wouldn't die, tell me what
is going on."
"My dad is late, and my mom too."
"What? So who is the lady you
are staying with and who is
Bridget to you?"
"She is my stepmom and Bridget my stepsister."
"I said it, I knew something was
off, but you didn't want to tell
me so I stopped pushing.
Come, I want to take you somewhere"
"Now? No, she will kill me, I told her
am going to throw out the trash,
she is counting the time, I can’t
stay late today.
Bridget said you want to see me."
"Yes, but now, I don’t know again,
how do I help you"? Paul ask.
"You can’t help me, just go"
"No, I want to help you, please accept
my help."

help badly I still can’t". Christy said.
"Why?"
"Christy.. Bridget called, let’s go, you
know you can’t be late today."
"Am coming…, Paul I have to go" she
hug and kiss him, "I love you Paul."
She said and ran back to
Bridget, leaving Paul standing
there looking at her direction.
"Do you have to take that long
just to discus with him?", Bridget ask.
"No, he wanted to take me
somewhere."
"No, you can do that today, maybe
some other time, let’s hurry before
mom start to suspect something."
"Ok". Christy and Bridget hurried
back to the house.
The mother call Bridget back as
they were hurrying back to their
rooms.
"Bridget come here" the mother call.
"I don’t understand you these
days, you always helping Christy
and defending her, what is going on?"
"Nothing mom, I already told you, am monitoring her movement."
"For what?, if she wants to get
spoiled, then let her get spoiled I
don’t care, the only thing I can do for
her is to throw her out of my house.
And as for you, I don’t want you
defending her next time"
"Ok mom."
"Now go to your room and stop
acting strange in his house."
"Yes mom,"
As she was going to her room
the mother called her back again.
"Yes mom."
"What about that boy Paul, I no
longer see him come here, what

him if you want," Bridget said so
happy to hear that her mom is
interested in Paul.

be a good match for you, if you are
going to be keeping boyfriends at
your age then you should at least
get boys like him, it will do you some
good in the long run."

my best friend."
Christy just turned and went inside
her room after listening to Bridget
and her mother.
