Chapter 28

Sara could sense that her father just said something very wrong by looking at Ajay's face. She had seen him with this expression once before and it didn't go well to the other party at that time.

Ajay slowly rose from his chair and took a few steps closer to Kavin. Although Kavin felt intimidated by that gesture, he didn't show it on his face.

Ajay said, "All you ever did was use 'your savior's best friend' card every time you need something from me and only lend me your hand whenever uncle orders you to. I'm here today because of my uncle and you're well aware of it.".

"He's the reason I've been bearing with your bullshit all these years even though I can simply destroy you and your KM Corporation. But," Ajay was now openly glaring at him. "one more word about my wife, and no status of yours will save you from me.".

Both Sara and Kavin were shocked by his revelation. "You're... married? When did this happen?" Sara talked for the first time since her arrival. Ajay ignored her and turned around, "Now that you know the reason, you may go.".

Kavin shook off his shock and turned around dragging Sara with him. He knew Ajay will never listen to him and he can't handle this on his own but he know someone that can.

Sara was furious. 'How dare he? Were our four years of togetherness mean nothing to him?'. She had been regretting cheating on Ajay with Raj and that guy has been clinging to her all the time. She's slowly getting tired of him. Just as she was thinking of getting back with Ajay, something like this came up.

"Marriage? Uh! Let's see what stops me from having you back." Sara threw a smirk at Ajay's office door and followed after her dad.

Diya saw a familiar car waiting in front of the kindergarten. Some of the teachers looked at her; confused when she walked towards it and opened the car door. Diya awkwardly waved at them and got in. 'Oops, I have some explanations to do, I guess.'.

"How was your day?" Ajay asked. "Good. The atmosphere was nice and lovely without Rowan's presence. How was yours?". Ajay glanced at her and nodded his head. "Good. Do you like Chinese food?". He saw the familiar glow on her face and heard her saying, "My favorite.".

Ajay smiled at her. "Let's go for lunch then.". Diya looked around the fancy restaurant in awe. She looked at Ajay and asked, "What are you doing for a living?". Ajay put down the menu card and looked up at her. "AJ Em-" he stopped when he heard a gasp from her.

"AJ Empire? The AJ Empire? Oh. My. God. My friend Kaia is a fan of its CEO. She finds him very impressive. She said he built this empire of his from the scratch and although many people don't know him personally, she said that he's quite handsome." Diya said with a serious face.

She continued after the waiter served their food and left. "Even a mere employee who works there is expected to be rich. But I didn't expect it to be to this extent.".
