Jane came outside the mansion gate looking very gloomy, she didn't expect him to be like that, she had heard he was cold and arrogant but he didn't seem like it when they were together last night, he was warm and nice to the, he even allowed her sleep on his bed
she shook off the thought, maybe he was just in a bad mood, maybe he had a fight with his girlfriend, anyways it wasn't in her place to think about that, she was just here to work, she shouldn't try to get familiar with him and just do her job to avoid things like this happening again, she had just started she couldn't get fired just like that, she needed the money for her son
she came to where Zain was and try to smile as much as she can
"thanks for coming to pick me up" she said
"it's my pleasure everytime" Zain said and opened the door for her
she got in and fastened her seat belt, Zain got in as well and drove off
on their way back home, there was silence in the car, Jane couldn't get her mind off her hot bad arrogant boss, he looked like the men and even much more hotter and handsome, in those magazine she and Cassie would lobby into the orphanage every last Friday of the month when they had the opportunity to go the market, he was like a demi god
she blushed at the memory of him coming out of the bathroom, gosh she felt like tearing him down, ' what kind of perverted thought is that ' she scolded herself, this is not her
and her mind flew back to Cassie, and then her mood turned sour again, she really missed her so much, she hopes she was out there fulfilling her dreams, they had both wanted to be actress that why they would lobby those magazine in, in fact they stole them, at least Cassie did, she was such a mischievous girl, " I hope to see you again Cassie" she muttered silently
Zain noticed her mood, he couldn't help but ask even though he didn't want to poke nose but he was worried for her
"are you alright, you seem sad" he asked
"oh it's nothing I'm just really tired, they was so much work yesterday" Jane lied
"oh I'm so sorry, if you want I can help you look around for a less stressful job" Zain said
"no it's really okay, I like the job plus the is really good, I doubt if I would find such salary elsewhere" Jane refused
"well in honesty you can't find such salary elsewhere, the Smith's family is the richest and most powerful family in this country and one of the richest in the world" Zain explained
she had heard him say something similar to her the day before the interview, but she wasn't really paying attention, she was too excited about the job, but hearing him saying it again now, she couldn't help but marvel
well given that heaven they call a house and she had even heard the maid gossip about how many estates and businesses they have, it was really breathtaking
no wonder he's so arrogant, at the thought of him again she frowned
they finally got home, Jane got down, muttered her thanks and quickly ran home, she couldn't wait to see her son and Mrs Whitney of course
"I'm back" she sang happily
"mummy, mummy, grandma mummy is back" Chris shouted and ran towards his mother
"did you miss me that much?" Jane pouted
"yes mummy" he nodded
"good Lord Jane you almost gave me a heart attack, where were you and you weren't even picking your calls, did something happen?" Mrs Whitney questioned
"no Mrs Whitney, I slept off the work yesterday was so hectic, that's why I couldn't inform you, and I left my phone in the kitchen, I almost got fired because of it" Jane explained
"what, really?" Mrs Whitney exclaimed
"yes but it's sorted out now, but I really have to wash up, change and get going now, if I don't want to get fired for real this time" Jane said
"oh okay, just get into the room, I will prepared you a bath, go on now" Mrs Whitney said
"okay" she said and disappeared into the room
Jane finished taking her bath, she chose to wear a green flare gown today, somebody from the club at gifted to her, she didn't want to take it but Dante insisted she did, and it did prove to be useful after all, Estella had said they would be no need for her to get a uniform since she wasn't like every other maid, it will also help distinguish her from others because of guest, she guessed they didn't want to offend the young master
she decided to let her hair down today, she also complimented the look with a flat black shoe, she applied some lip gloss, took a final look at herself and stepped out
"hey darling you are going already?" Mrs Whitney asked
"yes, I need to run" Jane said
"have you had something to eat?"
"actually no"
"then you should eat something, I made some sandwich this morning sit, I will bring you some" Mrs Whitney said
Jane was a bit reluctant but she didn't want a repeat of what happened yesterday so she agreed
after she finished eating she stood up to leave
"mummy are you leaving again?" Chris asked from behind her, he just finished with his colour work given to him from school "I was going to show you this" he said as he laid the art work at her feet and sat on the floor almost crying
Jane didn't know how to respond to him, she felt sorry for him, she has never left him to sleep at night all by himself before but now she has done it twice and it's seems she's going to be sleeping out a lot these days
she looked at the colour work before, it was too beautiful for a four year old boy skill "it's beautiful" she muttered trying to blink back the tears that were about to run down her cheek.
