Chapter 129

They arrived at the hospital almost an hour later, they all got down from the car

"please come this way" Mike led them all into his office, only Chris, little Jane and madam Rebecca were allowed in, the rest stayed at the VIP reception

"please sit down ma'am" Mike directed her to sit

"I will have a nurse take the samples" Mike said

"no I want you to oversee everything all by yourself, every single process" madam Rebecca said

"alright we will do as you say" Mike agreed

"mom what's going on?" little Chris asked his mother at the reception

"well your daddy and little Jane need to run a test, it's nothing serious" Jane explained to him as much as she can

Angel on the other hand was very agitated, the old woman wouldn't let her in even though she pleaded, she insisted ' I hope nothing goes wrong, where the hell is my dad ' she thought

she was so nervous that she could not even sit down, she picked up her phone and called her father

"hey dad where are you, shouldn't you be here?" she said and walked away so Jane and Grace don't hear her conversation

"I purposely didn't come, I need to stay clear if not they will get suspicious, it's just a DNA test" Jonas said over the phone

"but what if something goes wrong, what if they find out the truth?" she asked panicking

"you have to calm down and keep a cool head okay? meet me at the cafe at the company we will talk there" he said and dropped the call

"what a pain in the ass" he muttered out loud, if not that he still has use of her he would have just killed her, she was not his daughter anyways, he picked her up from a dump site several years ago

Angel walked back to the reception feeling a bit calm, she was still nervous but she kept her cool

"hey Jane are you good?" Grace asked her

"of course miss Grace just a bit hungry" she confessed

"oh that's true you didn't have anything to eat did you?" she asked her

"no I didn't" she said

"we should order food then" she said and was about to bring out her phone to order but Jack stopped her

"there's no need for that miss, the president already had me order food for Jane a while ago, the food should arrive any moment from now" he said

"oh" that was all Jane could say, she didn't remember asking him to order food for her, there were not even in the same car, her heart beat with excitement and warmth

' does that mean he was thinking of me ' she wondered and that thought lightened her mood

"is that so? my brother is such a good boss to you, first he got you a phone now he's ordering you food, my brother that I know will never do that" Grace was surprised

"come on Grace your brother has always been so sweet, remember back then when we were in school and college he always took very good care of me, he's just being nice, it's nothing to celebrate about" Angel who have been listening to their conversation decided to interfere

Jane felt a pinch in her heart, she didn't like the fact that Angel knew him before her and that she got to enjoy all those things she mentioned

Grace was pissed "why did you have to interfere in my conversation, it's none of your business" she said

"oh come on Grace I will be your brother's wife very soon, you should get used to having me around already" she dissed her

"oh really, and what makes you think my brother would stoop so low to marry a low class prostitute like you, you said it yourself my brother have always been kind and nice but ever since you betrayed him by sleeping with his best friend, he turned into the cold and arrogant guy that we all know now, what makes you think that he will marry someone who almost destroyed his life" Grace said almost screaming

she was so angry and pissed, she doesn't know who she thinks she is she still has the confidence to say her brother would marry her, she felt like beating her up right now

everyone in the reception heard what Grace said and started to whisper in each other's ear, they knew who they were especially Grace, they wouldn't dare gossip about them aloud

but they still couldn't help but spare a few glances at them, most which were mocking glances towards Angel

Angel felt very embarrassed ' this bitch has such a loose mouth ' she thought, but she comported herself

"it's all in the past now Grace, and I've already apologized several times, besides it's what best for Jane, the doctor said she needs love from both her parents if she would recover, that's why I brought her over to the mansion as soon I found out that she wasn't Carlos's daughter" Angel said almost whispering, she didn't want anybody hearing her

"then take her to her father, what makes you think my brother is the one responsible?" she said

"your brother and Carlos are the only two men have been with my whole life" Angel said acting like a victim

"I wish" Grace exclaimed

Angel wanted to say something more but she was interrupted by Jack she didn't have any choice than to stop talking, she really can't wait to marry Christopher so she have power over this bitch and every other person that looked down on her

"miss please excuse me but the food for Jane has arrived" he said and placed it beside Jane and moved back to his position

"thank you" Jane muttered, but she didn't feel like eating anything at all, her heart felt very heavy

she knew she was not supposed to be affected but she can't help it, the thought of Chris marrying Angel appeared to her head and it made her sad
