THE NIGHT WE MET

My family and that of Hannah arrived at Phoenix City on the evening of a Friday. We had booked a hotel via Airbnb, so we just went straight to the hotel. Hannah's family booked a hotel room close to ours so movement to each other's room was easy.

"Folks, we're about to go check this amazing city," Mr. Desmond said, holding his wife's hand.

"Trust you both ain't leaving me behind," my dad stood from his couch and dusted his trousers. Mr. Desmond, his wife, and my dad moved to the doorway and hailed us, "Goodbye" before exiting the room.

Reclining on the dining table, I looked at the city's map and remarked, "This city is so huge. How are we going to find Henry here?"

My sister, who was eating a waffle, said, "Hannah said she saw Henry take the picture near the zoo. If we get there tomorrow, you'll use your long-distance hearing while Hannah and I will ask questions."
