120 Well? What Are You Waiting For?

Jonah only skipped two grades because he had already been ahead on reading and math for his age and the school administration felt sorry enough for him to make an exception about being put in Troy's class so he wouldn't have to be alone. That didn't make him a genius. 

His mom had been an algebra teacher and he always loved watching her prepare her lessons. He picked up quite a bit of math in the process. 

Ugh, why did he have to think about such heavy topics when he was supposed to be enjoying his time with Eden? It must be because the twentieth anniversary of the fire was coming up next month. 

November 13th was the day his life changed forever. It was his least favorite day of the entire year but the weeks leading up to it were hard too. Especially because he wasn't the only one grieving. Troy and Uncle Bob were less affected but Aunt Mel became inconsolable that time of year.
