His Whole Universe

"It is beautiful," Eden agreed. "This is one of my favorite places in the world."

Jonah smiled. "Same here. It's nice being in one of my favorite places with my favorite person. I know today is hard for you but I'm glad you're here with me."

Her heart swelled with affection. She was glad she was here with him too. There was nothing better she could imagine herself doing right now. Unable to hold herself back, she got on tiptoe and kissed his cheek. 

He let go of her hand and wrapped that arm around her waist instead. They walked like that for the next mile or so and it was a good thing they were at the back of the pack because if Troy could see them, he would definitely tease them about it. 

By the end of the day, Eden was completely exhausted but satisfied. She hadn't thought about her mom for hours either.
