53 Definitely A Date

Eden knew Troy had limited time off but after getting brushed off for the third time, she was beginning to think he was avoiding her on purpose. It was incredibly disheartening.

Why? Why would he do that when she felt like they had gotten closer? It had taken a lot of courage to ask him out in the first place so turning her down like this was really killing her self-esteem.

She had finally dared to try and open her heart to someone else after getting hurt so many times in the past and it wasn't panning out for her. At least that was what she thought until she got Troy's text after work on Tuesday.

It was simply a picture of a flyer for a masquerade party with a second text underneath that read 'You interested?'

Eden couldn't deny she was curious. She had never been to a masquerade party before or even seen one outside of movies. They were supposed to be fairly romantic. Was that why he wanted to go? Was he trying to make a move on her?
