169 Not a date!

Jiaying glanced at her phone nervously as she considered whether or not to call Guan Yong and how to go about inviting him to her mother's birthday.

She snorted as she recalled the episode with her mother that morning during breakfast.

Mother Mei cleared her throat to get the attention of everyone during breakfast.

"So, about my birthday. Have you invited your partners?" She asked with a smile as both Rong and Jiaying groaned. They had both thought she was going to let the whole thing die like that but it seemed she was really serious about it.

"I told you I don't have a partner. Why do I need to invite someone?" Rong complained with a frown.

"Do you want me to find out who the young man your father mentioned is? I don't mind doing that and issuing him an invite myself. I give you by the end of today to do that or I'll help you." Mother Mei threatened before turning to look at Jiaying.

"What about Guan Yong?" She asked with a smile.
