29 Chapter 29- It will be interesting, Venion Stan

Time passed as two days went by.

Simon has been trying to find more about his power. But, every day isn't a lucky day.

For two days, He has been creating and testing hypotheses. But, all of his hypotheses failed as Simon didn't find out anything.

He could do some other research but for that, he would have to turn into Orochimaru. (research on alive humans and use them as guinea pigs)

That wasn't something he would do. It's not just morally wrong but getting alive humans would be- [let's leave it at that.]

Choi Han has been more determined than ever to train. Lock also occasionally joined. Cale felt very weird.

He didn't know what happened but seeing Choi Han and Lock so happy sent shivers to his spine.

'What happened? How? When? Why?'

A swordsman and the future Wolf King were smiling so happily. It wasn't odd for living beings to be happy. Heck, it would be odd for a living being to not be happy.

Cale wasn't hoping for them to be in the pit of despair but these guys were really too happy. It's just that these guys had lost their families recently.

Two days earlier, Lock had come the same evening to make the deal.

Cale didn't know what but something had happened. In the morning Lock was a nervous, scared, shy, and sad kid.

But in the evening, Lock was still nervous and shy but not scared or sad. Something happened and even Choi Han seemed to be calmer.

Choi Han's face was also free of despair. Instead, It was full of determination. Even when searching for the Mana bombs Choi Han seemed to be even more filled with energy.

Everyone was changing slightly. Except for the cold assassin Ron and his son Beacrox, Everybody had a behavior change.

Even Hans seemed more energetic to serve the cats.

'Well, It isn't that bad.'

Cale had a small smile. If these guys became free from despair earlier, then that was even better for Cale. Cale wanted them to not be in despair

since they would be stronger.

Cale entered the carriage as it began to move towards the feast held by the crown prince. Eric would take care of all formalities for Cale.

If any nobles approached Cale Eric and the others would keep them away from Cale. He just needed to be silent.

Cale wasn't trash but had a specialty. He could stare at nothing for hours without moving. Using this skill, He would not talk at all.

A smile formed at Cale's mouth. He has been planning for a long time. His life as a slacker is near.

The horses pulled the carriage as Cale soon arrived in front of his destination. A place that is completely different than the rest of the capital.

The decoration was obviously not as good as the Royal Palace but this place was really luxurious. If Henituse Manor gave off Rich-man vibes then this place gave Royal vibes.

There was no crowd but very fancy carriages.

Many trained guards, butlers, maids working. Nobles got out of their carriages as they began to form small groups. Soon three people came to Cale.

These were none other than Amiru, Eric, and the other guy. I mean Gilbert.

Cale shared some pleasantries as he caught a carriage from the corner of his eyes. In the distance, a carriage was slowly coming in his direction.

With the sign of Marquis Stan, the carriage gave off a very Noble air.

Cale and the other three turned towards the main hall. Some approaching nobles were taken care of by the three. The face of a certain noble and a crazy priestess popped into Cale's mind.

Another Smile could be seen on Cale's face as he entered the hall.

'It will be interesting, Venion Stan'

The black dragon was following Cale looking at the nearby humans. Some gave him the feeling of corruptness while some gave the feeling of cunningness.

But, Nobody seemed Naive.

'These humans are... weird and dangerous for the human.'

The black dragon failed to notice the far-away carriage. If he had noticed it, He might have blasted it.

The next day Billos arrived in the capital. After knowing the news, Cale decided to soon visit him. Yesterday, Taylor and Cage showed up at the feast.

The crown prince was very confused as to why Taylor came without an invitation but in the end, was very happy.

Why?

Alberu, The crown prince of the Roan Kingdom was the first son of the current king, Zed Crossman. But, despite being the eldest he was the son of a Royal maid.

His mother came from an ordinary origin thus resulting in him being looked down upon. He had no power in the palace.

Most of the nobles supported either of the other two princes. Yet, he never gave up. He worked hard and got the position of the Crown prince.

But, Unless he gets the position of the King, there are still many threats for his position. That's why he needs to win the support of Nobles.

The reason he was happy was that he did a trade. His mother had left him a one-time use of Ancient Power that could heal anything.

He used the power to heal the crippled Taylor Stan.

And,

In return, Taylor would become the head of the Marquis family and swear his allegiance to Alberu. Through this, Alberu would have the support of a Marquis.

Alberu felt sad to part with his mother's Ancient Power but this would help him greatly. Still, Alberu didn't know how Taylor knew about the existence of this power.

The existence of this was only known by a few individuals. It was a mystery but Alberu decided not to dig into it. He was content with the deal.

Of course, The one who created this mystery for Alberu was Cale. Who was now meeting Billos and a man named Odues Flynn.

Billos's uncle, the brother of the Head of the Flynn Merchants, also the man that turned away the position of the head, and the ruler of the Northwestern and the Central underworld.

'Sure enough, He isn't an ordinary merchant.'

Cale remembered that Odeus Flynn met his end in the novel after exposing the cruel deeds committed by Venion. To do this, He had to expose his secret identity.

Ultimately resulting in his death.

"I didn't know that you were about to meet my uncle, Young Master-nim."

Billos's chubby face was full of shock. He also had complicated feelings. His uncle was the only one who treated Billos like a family.

After talking for a few minutes Billos also greeted Simon. He was shocked to find Simon here. He had questions but decided not to get the answers.

On the other hand, Simon got out again to get some fresh air. He wanted to go out of the Manor.

Why?

To forget the painful memory of all that time he spent testing and got nothing. He was almost depressed. When Cale was going outside Simon asked if he could tag in.

Cale had no objection.

After more interactions, Cale and Simon returned to the Manor. Cale also told Lock to give his siblings a tour. Lock wanted to introduce Maes and the others to Simon but,

Simon seemed too tired so he refrained from asking.

After returning, Simon went to his room to again brainstorm theories and fell asleep soon after. Again irritating Laurens. Simon was really ignoring everything he said.

The same day, Ron left the Henituse Manor for a year. To h̵u̵n̵t̵ ̵s̵o̵m̵e̵ ̵f̵o̵x̵e̵s̵ go on a vacation while Choi Han places a Mana disturbance Tool in the Plaza.

'With this everything is in place. We found a total of 5 bombs. If everything goes as planned, I won't have to lift a finger and Choi Han will become a Hero.'

These were the last thoughts of Cale before he fell asleep.

P.S. Cale slept peacefully in a long time after that scary old man was gone.
