7 Birth

Arthur arrived to the place where the two dragons were stationed. The place was more like a stable for dragons. Arthur's armor was damaged in the fight and so Arthur was with his regular clothes now. He was wearing a white loose shirt and a black pant now. His silver hair was moving freely now unlike the time it was covered by his helmet. Just as he arrived in that 'stable', he saw Daemon coming towards him. Rhaenyra wasn't even here right now which made Arthur fear for the Queen.

"Prince Daemon, we need to go to King's Landing right now. The Queen is in danger."- Arthur spoke to Daemon with an impatient tone.

"We can use our dragons but I doubt Caraxes would let you ride. He is an arrogant son of a bitch. I know that your house was a top class dragon rider house but still they got annihilated. So why don't you hop into Syrax when my niece is here?"- Daemon told Arthur in a mocking manner as if stating that Arthur, a dragon rider will not be able to ride him. But Arthur paid him no mind because he was happy that Daemon wasn't concerned about his succession to Iron Throne. If he was, Arthur would have already added him in his killing list so that future Targaryens don't face problems. Luckily, Daemon wanted to save his unborn niece or nephew which made Arthur's plan work.

Just as Arthur wanted to approach Caraxes, Rhaenyra came here with her wagon. She ran towards her uncle and Arthur. Seeing that Arthur was approaching Caraxes, she felt fear of losing him but didn't say much.

"you're here, Rhaenyra. Arthur says we need to reach King's Landing because the Queen is in danger."-- Daemon started telling Rhaenyra. Hearing that, Rhaenyra became anxious and came to Arthur.

"will my mother be safe?"- She asked him in an impatient tone. Arthur could see some teardrops gathering in her eyes.

'Guess upbringing matters. She became a heartless queen later to protect everything.'- Arthur thought to himself seeing her tears.

"If we can reach King's Landing fast, we can save the Queen. Her childbirth is not going well."- Arthur seriously told Rhaenyra. Suddenly, Rhaenyra grasped his hands tightly before approaching Syrax. She just caressed Syrax a little near her neck and Syrax let her ride her. Arthur came near Syrax and started caressing Syrax near her mouth and nose. Syrax just snorted because of excitement. Seeing this Daemon and Rhaenyra had their eyes widen. After all, only the person who tamed that dragon could caress it. Dragons were prideful by nature. But Syrax in front of Arthur became as docile as a child.

"Good girl... Help me save the Queen, Syrax. Use your wings to the fullest."- Arthur spoke to the Dragon in Valyrian accent before riding it. Thanks to the knowledge given by Sphinx, he was already fluent in Valyrian accent. Arthur rode syrax and Rhaenyra was infront of him seating on Syrax. Syrax started flying to King's Landing in full speed which made Rhaenyra nervous. But Arthur just held her by her waist as if telling her it's okay. Rhaenyra started feeling warm thanks to it. As Arthur was close to Rhaenyra, he could smell the sweet scent coming out of Rhaenyra. Her hair was moving too much due to the speed of Syrax but Arthur loved it. He brought his face close and lightly inhaled her scent from her hair. Rhaenyra had a bright smile on her face as if she wanted Arthur to do that. It was as if Rhaenyra had already decided to give everything to him. Thankfully, Daemon didn't come with them. Instead he decided to create fear among the nobles with his dragon Caraxes.

Soon, they reached King's Landing. Rhaenyra wanted to station Syrax into the dragon stable but Arthur told her not to. Instead Arthur told her to bring the Syrax to Royal Chambers.

"What if Father got worried and hurts her?"- Rhaenyra asked Arthur while holding his hands.

"He won't. I shall take care of it."- Arthur assured Rhaenyra in a warming manner.

As they reached Royal Chambers, many knights came forward to stop it. But Syrax just gave a roar and they all fell on the ground.

"Take me to my mother!"- Rhaenyra shouted at the Royal Guards. As it was told by the princess, they could do nothing but to obey.

As they got into the Queen's Chamber, two Kingsguard stopped them.

"King Viserys has said not to let anyone enter that even includes, my princess."- one of them said to Rhaenyra. The other one was observing Arthur.

Hearing that, Rhaenyra worriedly looked at Arthur hoping if he could do something. Arthur went forward and swung his Sheathed Narsil in the neck of one Kings guard. The other unsheathed his blade and started moving towards Arthur. But Arthur who had already casted his strengthen magic just took the hit and again hit him in the back of the head. That guard also became unconscious. Seeing Arthur taking a hit for her while not wearing any armor, Rhaenyra had tears in her eyes and went to Arthur.

"Are you hurt? Why did you had to take that hit?"- Rhaenyra spoke while checking if he had any injuries.

"it's nothing. But you must remember what I am about to tell the King. "- Saying that Arthur and Rhaenyra opened the door to Queen's Chamber.

Seeing them, Viserys and the Grandmaester became shocked. King Viserys seeing Arthur thought that he came to kill the queen. But his gaze softened when he saw Rhaenyra holding his hand.

"What is the meaning of this? She is trying to give birth. Get out you two."- Viserys shouted at the two of them with his might. Queen Aemma weakly looked at her daughters face which had tear drops.

Arthur looked at the Queen and then at the King.

"Have you already decided to save the child rather than the Queen?"-Arthur questioned Viserys narrowing his eyes. Hearing him, Viserys and Grandmaester Runciter was flabbergasted because they discussed that in secret. They were already preparing to cut the Queen's Belly to save the baby. If Arthur hadn't came and created troubles, they would have done it already. On the other hand, Rhaenyra had a disgusting expression on her face. She couldn't believe her father would have done that but she had trust in Arthur. She started trusting Arthur much because she knew he is pushing himself so much to save the Queen. She didn't knew the reason as why he is doing that but deep down she knew that Arthur could be trusted. The Queen was already unconscious.

"So what? I don't think it matters to you."- King Viserys questioned him while raising his voice slightly.

"I know the full prophecy of which Aegon spoke off."- Arthur just told Viserys who in return had his eyes widen. He was surprised that someone who didn't have Targaryen Blood knew the prophecy.

"That doesn't explain why are you ruining my son's birth."- Viserys asked Arthur but this time his gaze softened a lot. This behavior surprised Rhaenyra and Grandmaester Runciter.

"I inherited magic from my family which can ensure a swift natural birth. If you do what that old man told you to do, they will both die. I saw the future. "- Arthur casually told the King.

Hearing that, Viserys no longer had hostility in his face and pleaded,"Please, save my wife and child."

"Tell all of them to go out. Except you and Princess Rhaenyra, no one should stay."- Arthur stated which earned the displeasure of Grandmaester. Before he could say something, Arthur just glared at him. Seeing his glare, Runciter got afraid and went outside.

Arthur went near the Queen's bed and held one of her legs and said,"Both of you should hold her hands."

As the father and daughter pair held the Queen's hands, Arthur started using his healing magic. There was a green light coming from his hands. Arthur didn't have enough control in his healing magic because he didn't practice it well. As a result, his healing magic could only remove the fatigue and increase the stamina of the old queen. Her body looked a little young.Thanks to his magic, Queen Aemma woke up from her state and looking at everyone. Due to the healing magic, she felt safe and had a warming expression.

"You should start pushing now, my Queen. It should be safe now."- Arthur told the Queen with a serious expression.

Hearing that, Queen Aemma started pushing with all her might. Arthur could see that Rhaenyra couldn't take it anymore. Her hand is on the verge of breaking due to the amount of pressure the queen is imposing for the birth of her baby.

"Rhaenyra, I shall take your place. Call the maids."- Arthur told Rhaenyra. She wanted to refuse but since it was Arthur who spoke off, she could only obey. Rhaenyra slowly let go of her mother's hand which her crush took hold off. She went away to call the maids and soon came back with some.

All this time, Queen Aemma didn't stop pushing. She had sweats covering all her body. Viserys's hand is nearly broken.

"One final push, my Queen. It is nearly done."- Arthur stated loudly. Hearing that, Queen Aemma pushed with all her strength. Soon the cry of a baby was heard in the room.

The maids rushed to grab the baby and picked it up.

"It's a boy, your grace."- one of the maids spoke.

Meanwhile, King Viserys was eyeing Arthur as if he was asking for permission to hold his baby boy. But he couldn't have the courage to leave his Queen's side.

"Go, King Viserys. I will take care of the Queen."- Arthur spoke to him with a smile on his face. Hearing that, Viserys became delightful and rushed to hold the boy. On the other hand, Rhaenyra was smiling to see her baby brother but she was also worried about her mother. When she heard Arthur, she also went toward her brother.

Arthur started channeling his healing magic to the unconscious Queen. Soon, the Queen was full of vigour and opened her eyes. Seeing Arthur, she gave him a heartwarming smile.

"Thank you. Without your help, it would not have been possible. My husband and I owe you one."- Queen Aemma said in a loving manner. In return, Arthur just shrugged, "The things I do for a promise."

Before long, King Viserys came forward to his wife holding his baby boy.

" His name will be Baelon Targaryen". Hearing his name, baby Baelon gave a casual giggle which made all of the people in the room laugh.

" Arthur Valhalla, the seven kingdoms owe you a great favor. You are one of us now. Lord Corlys was right. We, Valyrians are like family. I read in a book that your house used to mock the Targaryens because we were a minor house. But I can't sense any mockery in your tone. I would like to know about the prophecy from you later. You can have anything you want."- King Viserys said to Arthur with a smile on his face. Rhaenyra hearing that started blushing. Watching her blush, Queen Aemma knew that her daughter had fallen for Arthur. She didn't have any problem with Arthur. Instead, she and her husband had only gratitude in their heart for Arthur.

Arthur knew why Rhaenyra was blushing. But he couldn't think to marry her right now. He had much bigger plans like creating his house again, taking two dragons, creating peace and prosperity. So he didn't want to marry Rhaenyra right now.
