Chapter 47 - Undefeated of the East!!

Getting everyone together, they gathered round on the deck to listen to the announcement. Giving her plan to the group everyone agreed that the plan would be the best use of everyone's talents. Handing out instructions to group leaders, Saya wanted them to coordinate with their teams to make sure everyone knew what their job was.

"Listen carefully", I told everyone, "We are here to offer aid, we aren't staying in the area for an extended period of time. Our group isn't equipped to stay there long term, and hold out for months. Once we help turn the tides in their favor we will pack up, and leave."

"Why!?", several people shouted.

"The South Koreans are trapped with no where to run. Once the giant population of dead and demons from China comes down...there will be no South Korea. While you may think we are invincible while I am tanking the larger enemies, I am one person and can't be everywhere.", I reminded them, "Up till now I have put my neck out to save many of you, and keep you all safe. We are facing a group of nearly five million enemies, I can only keep so many preoccupied at a time. If things get too hairy, all of you are my priority to evacuate. Your leaders will have radios to listen to my instructions, in the event the walls will be breached I will alert you as soon as possible so you can retreat to the ship."

"Are you doubting us!?", Souichiro complained.

"No, I am trying to keep you alive.", I retorted with a dead serious look, "Your lives aren't expendable, look around you...there are people here that care deeply about you. Don't throw your lives away protecting people you don't know. You have friends, family, and lovers here that want you to comeback alive from this. People sacrificed a lot to let you live to see another day, don't let that sacrifice be in vein."

Feeling a hand grab his, he saw Aya looking at him with a concerned look. While he wasn't sure if he loved Aya yet, he did know he didn't like the idea of her sacrificing her life to save him. He knew damn well she'd do that if the need arose, and that wasn't something that made him happy.

"Now on that topic, I have something that will increase your chances of surviving this fight.", I told them leaving to retrieve several crates.

Opening the crates, Guile was the first to recognize what he was looking. Asking if they were stab and slash proof clothing, I nodded my head. Telling them that each person that couldn't use Ki would be required to wear them. Saying this would prevent the majority of minor injuries the grunts could give them, it was important they understood it didn't make them invincible.

"I don't want anyone biting off more than they can chew, and try to play Hero...", I said looking at Souichiro and Kenichi.

Looking behind them for a moment, they looked at me again and pointed at themselves. Nodding my head I reminded them that the two of them were the most likely to do something rash. Taking offense to that the two tried to dispute that, but their close friends told them that it was very true. Hanging their heads they shut up which a put a smile on many faces.

"Now on to other news, a hacker friend of mine is going to be assisting us. He is currently working on re-enabling the defense system, and will be trying to kite the undead still under Umbrella control away from the wall.", I informed them all.

"Does he know when he will have it ready?", Bob asked.

"He hopes to have it ready by our arrival tomorrow.", I answered, "To be clear, we are stopping this evening so we can arrive tomorrow morning. We don't know what the power situation is there, and I don't think anyone here wants to fight at night if they don't have too."

Everyone agreed that they didn't want a night fight, they were confident not stupid. Dismissing the group to coordinate their plan, Namiyo and Saori spoke up before everyone left.

"What about the people who aren't fluent in combat yet?", they asked.

"I would ask you remain on the ship to protect the children, is that okay? It would be unwise to leave the children alone.", I stated.

Nodding their heads the group agreed it was the best option. Leaving after that, Saori came over to speak with me. Asking to speak privately we went to one of the many empty spaces we weren't using yet.

"What's up?", I asked.

"I know it's terrible thing to ask but...please make sure Kenichi comes back. Knowing him he will try something stupid to save people, just like his father would.", Saori said, "Honoka and Kenichi are the only family I have left. Honoka needs a father..."

'Ah, she appealing to me as mother wanting a father for her daughter.', I thought.

"I have seen how you treat Saito and Kikyo, could you maybe make room for Honoka and I?", Saori questioned, "I had been meaning to ask you, but I was too nervous to ask. After you risked your life to protect the children, I knew you were the man I wanted. Just...just don't leave us like Mototsugu did, I can't take watching another person I love be killed."

"Meh, I think of it as me adapting to the situation. If shit hits the fan I have no problem grabbing my people, and getting the hell out of there.", I reminded her, "Anyways, let me train would you."

"Fine, whatever you say.", she sighed.

Throwing a few strikes into the air, I went off of memory for how this style worked based on the manga and anime. As the sun began in the east I faced it, and said the schools creed.
