In HOTD with The Satou System

Note: This fan-fic assumes the HOTD timeline starts around 2013, and this is fan fic will have a harem. For those of you unfamiliar with who Satou is, look up Death March to a Parallel World Rhapsody, and you will learn about the system he has. My name is Victor, and I reincarnated into the HOTD world several years before the world went to hell with several gifts God gave me. Having been through military school, thanks to my father having no time for me, I learned all the skills and knowledge I needed to survive this post-apocalyptical world, and then some. Now all I have to do is keep the people I care about, and those who will follow me safe from harms way though that is easier said then done when the undead start mutating. Follow me on my journey as I go from High School Student to Warlord, and the crazy journey it takes to get there. ***I don't own the cover photo. Chapter 3 - Z-Day

Arriving onsite as several dozen students were already fleeing out the back entrance, and somehow the idiot female teacher that should have dead early on was alive. Screaming as her former colleague came to tear into her, I pulled up in time to blast his brains out. Getting out of the SUV, I reached for my rifle and was about to go in when she stumbled over to me.

"Please, save me!!", she cried, "I don't want to die!!"

"Miss Kyoko, I-"

"You...you are the US Ambassador's son right? They will come get you, and take you to safety!! Please, I...I will do whatever you want!! Just don't leave me alone here!!", she pleaded pushing her chest out.

Checking her stats, she had a decent amount of knowledge and had some basic self-defense training. That was enough for me to take her with me, staying with me long term though would be determined by her willingness to put some effort into surviving. I had no use for people that wanted hands out, they either contributed in some fashion or needed to get the hell out of my way.

"Fine, stick close to me and do not wander off.", I told her as I helped steady herself, "I am not going to come back for you if you go off on your own."

"I understand!", she said not hesitating to tear her skirt so she could move easier.

As now wasn't the time to ogle her thighs, I led us into the school building. Following me inside, she stayed right behind me never once more than two steps away. Checking corners as went towards the roof, I used the silenced rifle to pick off the zombies so we could advance quickly. Draw near the nurse's office, I could hear Shizuka trying to jam the door closed as the zombies hammered on the door. Hearing tell the zombies to give her a minute, I rubbed my head in frustration.

"Please go away, I can't treat you.", Shizuka said casually.

'She doesn't seem to get these things don't understand what she is saying.', I thought with a sigh.

Dropping to a kneeling position, I fired on the zombies at her door and dispatched all of them. Running up to the door, I told her who we were and that I was hear to get her out of her.

"Thank you for coming save me.", she said acting sweet with a flirtatious smile...per our usual engagement.

Ever since the day we met this nurse had enjoyed teasing me. As one of the few men on campus that looked her in the eyes when we spoke, she enjoyed trying to get a rise out of me. I don't know if it's because I am cute, look fun to tease, or she was just needy but I wasn't going to complain. She may not be a fully registered nurse, but I was happy to have someone with experienced medical knowledge with me. Besides, I wasn't about to leave her to die...I want to keep this woman alive for my personal sake. Out of all the main cast, she was the one least likely to accept mass killing of people. I could use her as my conscious on top of her medical knowledge.

Telling Miss Kyoko to help Shizuka gather up supplies, I told them to grab whatever we could carry. Handing them a duffle bag, I said to throw everything in there for ease of carrying.

"I will cover you, grab anything you think can be used.", I told them watching the hallways.

Covering them, it took all of about five minutes for them to say they were ready. Tearing Shizuka's skirt for her, Miss Kyoko stated it was a necessity to move easier. Complaining that it was a designer skirt she ruined, I told Shizuka that I would get her a new one later. Giving me a smile, she told me she would hold me to that. Continuing on up too the roof access, we stopped about twenty feet from the door. Finding the area full of undead, there were several people holding the zombies back. Realizing that they weren't going to last much longer, I sighed and got ready.

'Of fucking course they'd come up here...', I thought, 'They probably followed Saya and Saeko's groups, fucking morons. I am happy my group listened to my instructions not to open the door.'

Taking a pair of Tomahawk's out I ran into the horde, and quickly chopped them to pieces. Seeing me there, the survivors looked relieved as they watched my kill the zombies with ease. Walking past them, I gave them the others the signal by tapping on the door, I heard the people on the other side clear the debris away to open the door a few moments later. The moment the door opened, I gave them a thumbs up with a grin on my face.

"Alright, we need to get to the facility room. I will take point, Saeko take rear. If you notice a large group, fall back, and let the Spear Club handle it. Archers, I need you to back them up if that happens.", I said before turning to the others, "The rest of you, keep your eyes and ears open. If you get bit we are leaving you behind, their bite is infectious and spreads quickly. Any of you bit?"

Seeing one of the boys hide his hand, I forced him to show us. Having had his hand bitten I put my pistol to his head, and shot him in the face. Turning to the others, I glared at them all.

"Do not test my patience...if you endanger the group by hiding your injury I will kill you. If you are injured, leave now and I won't shoot you immediately.", I told them, "Now then, anyone else injured?"

Shaking their heads, everyone showed their arms to me. Doing a quick inspection with my HUD, I nodded my head and said we were moving out now.

"Understood.", Aimi the Archery Club Captain agreed, "Lead the way."

Taking point, I took care of the zombies we encountered silently to minimize the chances of attracting a horde. Eventually getting inside the room, the guys and I barricaded the door tightly. Tossing me the keys for the bus, Saeko turned on the tv to see if the local news had anything to report. While they got updated on the current situation, I took a look at my status.

-------------------------------------------------------------

'I am in a good position starting out here, but I have concerns.', I thought, 'I was told it would slowly phase into Resident Evil level shit, but I am sure there will be waves of mutations. World Phase probably has to do with that, I wonder how the phases will break down.'

Weighing my options for how to continue from this point, I noticed that everyone present was noticeably and understandably worried. I had no real connection to my father in this world so I wasn't that concerned about his disappearance. That said, I had feelings for several of the women here and they reciprocated those feelings. It was honestly part of the reason they accepted what I said so easily over the phone.

Aimi the Archery Captain, Nani the Spear Captain, and Pucca the Kendo Captain all had feelings for me that were very strong. The three of them had slept with me often, mostly while my dad was away on business. There was no doubt in my mind that I would keep them with me. Their combat skills were invaluable to me, and I honestly liked having them around.

Saya had really warmed up to me since our first meeting, and she had given up on Takashi for me thanks to spending so much time with her. By now she had grown apart from Takashi as his constant depressed aura upset her. Had Takashi put forth some effort into kindling his relationship with her, she wouldn't have fallen for me so easily. Our relationship was private, most people thought we were just study buddies, but we had crossed a few lines. We hadn't had sex yet, but that was solely because of her father watching our actions like a hawk. If it weren't for that, we'd have slept together already. Damn jackass would burst in on us trying to catch us doing something.

Saeko was already my public girlfriend, and I knew all about her obsession of inflicting pain on others. It took some time to convince her, but eventually she understood that I didn't care about that sort of thing. All I wanted from her was loyalty, honesty, and love which I got in spades from her. She already knew about the other women, simply writing it off as a strong man would have many women around him. We had pretty much done everything we could as couple...gone to the amusement park, gone to the movies, had passionate sex, and even killed a few wannabe gangsters that made the unfortunate mistake of trying to attack us. Of course no one knew it was us as on that night I had given the security detail the slip to spend the night at Saeko's...something I did quite frequently as her father was out of town a lot.

Rei's relationship with Hisashi was pretty much over at this point. The dude literally just went along with whatever she wanted, and never spoke his mind to her. They fought a lot about the stupidest shit, and on more than one occasion had separated for over a week. It was during one of those breaks she caught him with one of her best friends from school, and boy did she blow a gasket. Going to Takashi for help, he blew her off which was the final nail in that coffin. Coming to me next, I listened to what happened and told her that she deserved someone better. Sure they were on break, but it didn't mean he should just go find another woman so quickly...especially her best friend. To get back at him, she asked me to take her virginity which I gratefully took. Since then the two us had sex a minimum once a week by her own request. Hisashi had no clue, but he was also still sleep with her best friend. The only reason they were still together was because Rei had some misplaced guilt about things...though that was on the breaking point now.

'I worked hard cradling this house of cards. It's time I slowly start pulling the cards down, and putting this to bed. Sorry Takashi and Hasashi, you ain't getting Rei now. If you weren't completely useless I might have helped find you girls, but you are trash. She listens to me and is my woman now.', I thought as they turned off the television to look at me for what I thought, "As I stated previously, we need to secure a place to stay with good security and preferably concrete walls. Do you have any suggestions?"

"I think we should head to the bridge where everyone else is!", a few of the men said trying to gain some favoritism from the women.

"That's a fucking stupid idea.", I remarked with a disgusted look, "That is a death trap, they are going to have tight security and long lines for processing. If the bridge gets swarmed we will be pinned up against the police and those walking corpses. Unless you think you can survive a jump off a hundred foot bridge, don't think of going there."

"I think we should at least try, the police will-", Hisashi started to say.

"No, Victor is right.", Rei told him, "It is really dangerous since everyone will be scared. We could get trampled or shot by the police. Worse yet they might separate all of us when we get there."

"So where are you thinking of going?", Saeko asked me.

"Anyone got a local map?", I inquired.

Brute forcing my way into a teacher computer, I pulled up a map of the area. I figured Shizuka wouldn't remember her friend house till we broke out of here so till she made that suggestion, I needed to find a secure place to hunker down. Looking around the map, I spotted a small bank not more than two miles from here were could use. The windows were reinforced, the building would likely be made of concrete and cinder block, and most importantly I could retrofit the vault to be our room for the night.

Voicing my suggestion to the group, everyone liked that idea for now as it would ensure we had a strong building to sleep tonight. Nodding my head I marked down the route to the bank on the map along with convenience stores and small markets along the way.

"Why are you marking all of those places?", Takashi asked.

"You want to eat right? We don't know how long this virus is going to last, it could be weeks, months, years, or even decades...we don't know. The best time to stockpile goods is now while most people are worried about their lives. Take whatever we can carry, and we use it to survive.", I told him before looking at everyone, "I am only going to say this once, with society gone to hell some people are resort to doing whatever the hell they want. That could be murder, theft, arson, rape, kidnapping, and many more...when we leave here don't let your emotions get ahold of you. We need to get to the bus, and get out of here. If we can save people along the way great, but we can't go out of our way to do it. Till we know more about the infection, we don't help anyone that has been bitten or scratched."

"Agreed.', everyone said.

"Kohta, take this. You are the only other person here with firearm training.", I said tossing him a silenced 1911 with four ammo clips.

"HAHA!!!", he laughed rubbing his face on it, "It's got a hairpin trigger, textured grips for if it gets...slippery, and even a longer barrel for better accuracy. Christmas came early!!"

"Will you stop acting like an idiot.", Saya complained, "You are making a fool of yourself."

"Hehe...sorry, I just didn't think I would get to hold something like this. Where did you...oh you probably brought it from the Embassy.", Kohta said answering his own question.

"Exactly, before anyone asks I don't know if the military is coming. I doubt they will send a team just for me, but for now lets just focus on surviving.", I told them all.

Making sure everyone had some sort of weapon in hand, we removed the barricade and left the area. As we were running past the break room, where the PA equipment was, I made a mental note of it so I could come back here. I had a much better plan than normal route they would have taken to flee. Entering the main building, I stopped our convoy as we had dozens of undead in the hallway blocking our way out.

"Okay, I want to test something out.", I whispered to Kohta and Saya, "We need to know if they can see, hear, smell, or have a sense of touch."

"Why do we need to know that?", Kohta asked.

"Because it will make deciding on a plan easier, idiot!", Saya questioned.

"No need to be angry Saya.", I told her.

"I-", she started to say with a worried look.

"Saya, I promise you I will get you home in one piece.", I promised as I leaned in, "I will protect my lovers, don't you worry about a thing."

Nodding her head she eased off her snobby attitude with a grateful smile. Taking a shoe from the ground I threw it at one of the zombies facing me. Not reacting to the shoe coming for it, it didn't even register the impact confirming they still acted like the zombies from original storyline. Relaying the information to the others, I asked the Archery Team to take them out. Since they could potentially retrieve their arrows, there was no point wasting ammo needlessly.

The five girls and four guys managed to clear the hall in a few minutes with their bows. Moving forward, I covered them while they grabbed their arrows. Coming to the next corner I peeked my head around the corner to see the entryway was completely full of those fuckers, and a group of guys was protecting a group of pretty girls.

"We have to help them.", Saeko said to me, "They are going to be overrun in a few moments."

"Yeah, but close quarter combat with that many is going to get some of us killed or injured.", I stated, "Hmm...I have an idea. If I use the PA system to play noise that drowns out the noise they are making, we can get them away safely and take the other staircase to get out."

"Good idea.", Kyoto and Pucca told me.

"What are you going to play though?", Shizuka asked.

"I have some rock on my phone, I am sure that will distract them.", I chuckled, "Let them know to quiet down so the horde goes the PA speakers when the music starts."

"Got it!", Aimi promised.

Running back to the room, I plugged my spare MP3 play and cranked some Disturbed to cover our tracks. Rejoining them, the group from the stairs ran over to us in a hurry.

"Thanks for saving us!!", they said softly.

"Don't mention it, now let's get the hell out of here.", I replied leading the group out.

As expected, the zombies didn't hear us over the sound of the music. Hurrying people out the door, I pointed to the bus with a silent motion. Running towards the bus in a hurry, I hung back to make sure everyone in our group got out then sprinted towards the bus. Getting the doors open people piled in without a problem. Tossing the keys to Shizaku, I told her to start the bus since she was one of the first in.

Putting the key in the ignition, she turned the key and felt the key snap. Looking at the broken key she quickly announced that it had broken.

"I...I am sorry!!", she said in a panic, "Wh...what do we do now!?"

Hearing the students get rowdy, I told them to shut it. Saying I could hotwire the bus, I instructed everyone to get their ass in a seat. Quickly following my instructions, I got under the dash and looked for the wires I needed. While I was hotwiring the bus, the second group of people came barreling out of the school. Hot on their heels was a group of zombies.

Getting the bus started, I told the second group to hurry up. In reality I wanted to leave them, but I recognized it was too cruel and might cause issues if I was overly cold hearted from the get go. Shooting an infected student was one thing, abandoning perfectly fine students was another. Seeing the slimy bastard Shido running up with the students, I readied myself to deal with this piece of shit.
