Chapter twenty one
"You are pretty," Chad muttered staring at her lips. "You take my breath away." He tightened his grip on Tiana and she felt lust course throughout her body, she had never felt this way before.
"Excuse me, your highness," Russell barged into the office as Tiana was about to kiss Chad. She immediately moved away from Chad when she saw Russell, she was so shy. Russell stared at Chad then Tiana and then Chad. "Am I interrupting something?"
Chad straightened himself and there was a grin plastered on his face.
"What's is the matter?" Chad asked Russell. He looked at Tiana and he saw that she was very nervous, he chuckled at what she just did.
"You have an important meeting, your highness," Russell asserted staring at Chad.
"Okay, just give me a minute." Chad picked up his shirt and put it on. "I'm sorry my love I'll be taking my leave now." He came closer to her and she hid her face from his piercing stare. "Anything you need--I mean anything in this world that a man can provide you need let me know and I will by no means give you."
"Ehm..." Tiana thought of what she needed, she looked at him with pleading eyes, what she needed was him.
Chad sighed and pinched his nose. "Don't worry, sweetheart, when I'm done I'll come to be with you." He said kissing her forehead.
Tiana watched him as he left the office, she adjusted her skirt and decided to explore the building, alone.
Calvin had an automobile production company and it was one of the best in the country, he was going to have a meeting with some potential investors and he was sure that this was a great opportunity for him to increase the income of his company. His brother Chad was richer than him, Chad had many companies both in KU and overseas including an automobile production company which was the best in KU. Calvin wanted to surpass his brother, but he could not stand him.
As he entered the company building all the staff greeted him and bowed as he passed them with his bodyguards.
"Good morning, your highness." One of his employees greeted him as he entered the elevator.
He did not reply to her, he was not in a good mood.
"Is there any problem your highness, I can surely help?" His employee said with a seductive voice and Calvin glared at her.
"I'm not in the mood for this." He told her bluntly.
"But I thought you were always in the mood." She said biting her lips and Calvin pinched his nose.
"If you say any more disgusting words, I'll fire you," Calvin said coldly and his employee kept quiet, wondering what made him this angry.
He got out of the elevator and went to the conference room where the shareholders and investors were waiting for him.
As he entered the conference room everyone got up and bowed, greeting him, "Good morning, your highness."
He did not reply to their greetings he pulled out a chair and sat down.
"Let's proceed with this meeting," he said in a dry voice, a lot of things have been going through his mind lately.
"You don't look fine, your highness," a voice said and Calvin immediately recognised his voice, searching for the person who just spoke.
"Lisa." He mumbled staring vividly at the young woman who was abreast of him. "What are you doing here?" Calvin was shocked to see her, she was the last person he expected to see in a meeting like this.
"What do you think I'm doing here?" She said biting her lips. "I hope you won't dump me in this meeting too." Calvin's eyes shone wide and he started sweating profusely as some memories flashed through his mind.
'What's going on? Why is she here?' Calvin thought to himself.
He exhaled and pinched his nose.
"Life could be surprising sometimes, I never imagined that I would meet my ex in a meeting like this," he whispered and then he cleared his throat. "Sorry for the interruption, let's proceed with the meeting."
As soon as the meeting was over, Calvin wanted to leave the conference room as fast as possible, he did not want to have an encounter with Lisa. As he was about to leave Lisa came and blocked his way.
"Running away, your highness?" She said smirking and Calvin kept a nonchalant facial expression. Lisa approached his and Calvin's eyes scanned her, she was still as beautiful and hot as he remembered her, he long ebony hair, her small pink lips, her wide hips that swayed as she walked stylishly...Calvin could not keep his eyes off her.
"What do you want, Lisa? And how dare you block my way?" Calvin's voice was low and his face was stony.
"Still the same, you haven't changed at all, you've just gotten more handsome and quite muscular," she said giggling. "I wonder how big you are down there." She said licking her lips.
"I don't have time for this, Lisa." Calvin's lips pursed into a thin line.
"Am I making you remember some lost memories that we shared? Am I making you remember some things that you want to forget?" She came closer to him and whispered. "Do you remember all the little adventures we had on my bed and your bed?"
"That's in the past and I am not concerned by any of those."
"You are not concerned after taking my virginity away you are not concerned about that? After breaking up with me in the most terrible way? After showing the world how you broke my virginity? After showing the whole world everything we did together in our rooms?" She laughed, "you are so funny, Calvin."
Calvin balled his hands into a fist and gritted his teeth.
"It happened for a reason, everything happens for a reason." He replied to her coldly. "I'm sorry, deeply sorry for everything that happened."
"You're sorry?" Lisa laughed loudly. After she laughed for a while she stopped and straightened herself. "It's alright your highness, everything is fine, what you did wound me, but wounds heal no matter how deep they are."
Calvin looked at her with a tint of sadness in his eyes.
"How are you?"
"Don't even dare to ask." She hissed and walked away. Calvin watched her till she was out of his sight.
"No one should follow me." He instructed his bodyguards and they obliged. He went to the bathroom, turned on the tap and the water started running. He washed his face with the water running from the tap.
'Why is this happening?' He thought as memories started going through his mind.
"Why do I fucking still feel something for her!" He shouted and looked at himself in the mirror.
His eyebrows furrowed and his hands balled into fists.
"Chad! Chad! Chad!" He shouted angrily.

Chad sat in the royal library with a pile of booms beside him, he picked up a book and started flipping its pages.
Megan saw this as an opportunity to approach him, fortunately for her, she was on duty and she was dusting the shelves of the library.
She started thinking of ways she could talk to Chad and tell him everything, but then she thought that it would not be safe for her to tell him everything that she knew what if he knew this and was in support of it?
She had to do it tactfully without him suspecting her and she had not forgotten the rule of the castle which stated that; 'Servants are not allowed to engage in any informal discussion with a royal unless if permitted, failure adhere to this rule might attract some punishment.' This was very difficult for her, what if she talked to Chad and he did not permit her to talk with him, she might land into trouble for doing so.
She sighed and continued looking for a way to approach him.
She could not think of any way to approach him, she exhaled.
'I guess I have to take the bull by the horns and approach him regardless of the trouble I might face for doing so.' She said to herself and walked to the place Prince Chad was sitting.
"Excuse me, your highness." She said bowing. Prince Chad stopped flipping the pages of the book on the table, and he raised his head to see the servant who dared interrupt him.
"How can I help you?" He asked her with a smile and Megan sighed out of relief when she saw that he was okay with her talking with him.
"I see that you enjoy reading books, your highness." She was very nervous, this was the very first time she was talking with him and he stared at her so intently that it made her shudder.
"Yes, I love reading books. Do you?" He asked and she nodded.
"Yea I do."
"Then come join me." He beckoned her and she looked around feeling that there was someone else in the library but it was only the both of them that were there.
"You mean me, your Highness? Or someone else?" She stammered and he pointed at her.
"I mean you and no one else." He told her and she sat beside him.
Everywhere became silent, only the rustling sounds of the pages that Chad was flipping were heard
"What book are you reading, your Highness?" She asked him and he looked at her.
"A novel," Chad replied and he continued flipping the pages of the book.
"What is the name of the novel you are reading, your highness?"
"Technical Love." He said grinning. "I find great interest in one of the characters in the book--the main character to be precise."
"Okay, your highness." She muttered she did not want to engage in a conversation with him, she did not have all the time, she wanted to tell him why she was there but she was so nervous.
Everywhere became silent and Megan used her fingers to tap on the table continuously.
"That is not all you want to ask me, right?" he turned to her with a mischievous grin on his face.
Megan gasped.
'How did he know that I want to ask him something else?' She thought to herself.
"Uhmm, your highness, I--you see..." she fumbled over her words.
"Have you heard of 'the sectors?'" He asked staring intensely at her.
"I haven't your highness," Megan muttered.
"What do you want to ask me?" He came closer to her and she started shuddering, his sea-blue eyes scanning through her. "Speak you lowly one, I am listening."
She grasped and she started sweating profusely, but this was not the time for her to be scared and nervous, she had to be courageous, she had to avenge her friend.
She cleared her throat and said. "Do you remember Kate?"
Chad froze for a moment, then he closed the novel he was reading, and he smirked.
He was silent for some minutes before he asked, "Who is Kate?"
