70 Control of my life

"It happened when I was ten." He begins and I look at him with interest. "I always adored my father. He was the kind of man I always wanted to be. Hard working, courageous, and every other brave words you could call your father at the young age of ten." 

"But the thing about my father is that he always wanted me to be like him. He always tried to groom me like him. At age ten, he had already started bringing me to his business parties, and business meetings. I guess he wanted me to take over his business when he retires."

"I thought it was cool and all that." He chuckles. "Until I discovered he's a scumbag." 

What?

"On one of the days he took me work, he was unusually busy. Normally, he'd always keep me in his office with him, but that day he sent me out. It was hours before he called me back. This happened the next day, and the next, and the next, until I decided to know what my dad was always up to.
