66 65. Inventions

Harry also started giving 2-3 hours to research and development for inventing and making new things. He had already made his own version of Marauders map, which he gave one to each, Professors Mcgonagall and Flitwick as well as to Hermione, Daphne and Penelope.

Time passed in a blur and they had Halloween the next day. Harry accomplished many of his other objectives during these one and half months. He had developed many new spells such as Gravity spell to train the physical body, sleep spell to instantly fall into deep sleep and a spell to loot things.

He also developed an Eye colour changing spell, Patronus Amulets, Rejuvenation Potion, Traning Daggers, a translation stone and a spell to change clothes instantly.

Now because of the Sleeping Spell, every member of super 13 only needed to sleep for 4 hours instead of 6 hours, while Hermione now only needed 2 hours of sleep a day, giving them much needed extra time to accumulate knowledge.

Harry had observed that training was slow going, not meeting his expectations because of the natural limitation of time as well as mental and physical limitations.

To solve the problem of mental limitations, Harry made everyone practice Occlumency and Meditation for 1 hour each daily. And to overcome the physical limitations, he developed the gravity spell. This spell allowed one to exert themselves fully and completely in a short period of time by increasing the effect of gravity on themselves.

But this posed a new challenge for him that after exertion they were not able to perform optimally, let alone training anymore. He was able to solve this problem somewhat by inventing Rejuvenation Potion. This Potion allowed someone to recover their physical strength completely for once. But there was still a problem that they could not use the Potion more than once a day because even though the Potion could recover energy in a short amount of time there was still a risk of muscle rupturing if trained more than the body's natural capacity. Harry had been trying since then to find the solution for this problem.

The looting spell was designed with the purpose of looting many things in a very very short period of time. This spell incorporated the concept of space, thereby avoiding all kinds of traps and alarms.

Harry developed Patronus Amulet for Sirius, so that his stay at Azkaban would be a little more comfortable for him. As for the training Daggers- he made them for Hermione, Daphne, Penelope and Jessica. They have been using these side by side during their unarmed training. The Daggers stung instead of cutting the skin. Harry got the idea of making a dagger from Bellatrix. He remembered that in the movie, she had a dagger that she threw at Harry and others when Dobby went to save them, thereby killing Dobby in the process.

Back to the present, Hermione and others were going back to their common rooms after Potion Class, which was also the last class of the day for them, when a Ravenclaw prefect stopped them.

"Hermione, Professor Dumbledore wants to meet you. He is waiting for you in his office." His words caused Hermione to frown inwardly but she only showed a slightly nervous look that any other student would have getting a call from the principal of the school.

"Alright.. um senior, can you please wait for a minute I need to use the loo really urgently." Hermione said and immediately ran to the nearest bathroom without waiting for his response.

Locking the door behind her she called softly for Alfred and he appeared in front of her in an instant.

"Thank god! ..... Alfred, please immediately inform Professor Flitwick or Mcgonagall that Dumbledore has asked me to go to his office. I won't be able to stall it for long.." Hermione said urgently. Alfred nodded and immediately disappeared.

Harry had already discussed such scenarios with them many times but still when it came to the real situation, Hermione felt really afraid.

"Hermione! Please hurry up, Don't let the headmaster wait for long." The prefect said knocking on the door.

"Sorry, Sorry... Just a moment please." she said.

Just then Alfred reappeared with note. It read, " Mcgonagall will be there. I too will be hidden with Alfred. Don't worry. --- Harry"

Hermione heaved a sigh of relief after reading the note, nodded at Alfred in thanks and went outside to face the ordeal.

"Come ms. Granger. Please sit.. Mr. Taylor, thank you for your hard work." Dumbledore politely excused the boy.

"Sir.. am I in some kind of trouble? I didn't do anything.." Hermione stammered before Dumbledore could say anything.

"Calm down Hermione- can I call you that" seeing her nod he continued, " I heard from my colleagues about one of the smartest witches of her generation so I called you here to satisfy this old man's curiosity. I hope you won't mind it." Dumbledore said in a grandfatherly tone with a twinkle in his eyes. He continued beating around the bush for some time before asking.

"By the way, how did you learn Occlumency?"

" I found out about it after Professor Mcgonagall took me shopping in diagon alley. It was very easy for me maybe because I am a natural Occlumens." Hermione said seriously. Harry had warned her of the possibility that Dumbledore might have something to detect the lies. So she was actually being extra careful before saying anything

"Oh how incredible Hermione. I have not seen a natural Occlumens for a very long time, in fact I am also a natural Occlumens myself." Dumbledore said happily.

" Really.."

"Haha yes. How about I check whether what you have learnt is correct or not. You must have learnt about this obscure art from some book and I telling you from my experience Hermione, you can't believe everything a book says." Dumbledore said sagely.

"Check? Do you mean you.. umm you know, read my mind?" Hermione said, inwardly fully prepared to drop her act if really needed, but showing a nervous and hesitating expression on her face.

Harry who was hidden inside space also frowned, not understanding why Mcgonagall was not here yet. He went outside to find about it in a hurry, only to find both Mcgonagall and Flitwick standing in front of gargoyle who refused to budge from its place no matter what. He immediately understood that Dumbledore was deliberately keeping them outside.

"Flitwick, send a Patronus to Albus immediately" Harry said in a hurry and went back inside, fully ready to take Hermione in the space any moment.

"No Hermione. What would this old man do reading you mind. I will just check if you're doing everything right." Dumbledore said with a chuckle.
