64. Super 13
Harry found Hermione, Daphne, Penelope and professor Flitwick in his side room, waiting for his arrival.
"So how many do we have?" Daphne asked curiously.
"Not many but that's okay." Harry said taking out the list of names giving a copy to everyone in the room.
"Why are there so many girls." Daphne asked with a frown making Penelope laugh out loud.
"It seems like Our Harry is very famous among the preety witches of Hogwarts, isn't it Daphne." She teased.
" While I do appreciate the attention, let's first deal with the elephant in the room." Harry said shaking his head.
" So Susan Bones, Megan Jones, Kevin Whitby, Hannah Abbot from Hufflepuff. I was kinda expecting Diggory instead of Abbot you know." Panny commented.
" Well everyone has their own priority. As for Hannah, I too was surprised but it seems her friendship with Susan matters more to her than house rivalry. She genuinely wants to understand why Susan is distancing herself from her and she thinks supporting me will make them become friends again." Harry shrugged. He too had expected Dumbledore's hand in it but after looking at the matter thoroughly he finally decided to include her.
" But Harry, you told us that her Parents are Dumbledore supporters and we can't include her." Hermione asked.
"She will only be trained in Occlumency first till her shields are decently strong. Meanwhile I will see if I can make her parents come to our side. After all I will also have to do the same with Susan." Harry answered casually.
" Isn't it too much of a hassle. We can just not include both of them, you know." Panny said, there was no trace of comedy in her demeanor anymore.
" Panny, it seems you didn't understand me clearly. If someone is bold enough to go against everyone to stand by my side and support me, then I am also bold enough to bend the world in their favour." Harry said smiling.
In his very long life, he had come to understand that loyalty and trust are some of the most valuable things one can have. It does not mean he will put his complete trust in them. No, he will employ every measure to ensure that they don't backstab him in the future. But... but he can respect their trust in him.
"What saddens me is the pitiful number under Ravenclaw section." Professor Flitwick said painfully.
"Michael Corner, Terry Boot, Padma Patil, Lisa Turpin, Sue Li, Jessica Stanley.--"
" Who is this Jessica Stanley? " Hermione asked raising a brow.
" Well she is a 7th year--- nice girl, if a bit quiet." Panny explained.
" Ms. Jessica is indeed a nice girl. She is a muggle-born who managed to somehow offend Severus with one of her questions during her second year. She couldn't pass OWLs Potion." Flitwick elaborated with a shake of his head.
"Alright let's finish it already. We do not have all day for this." Harry continued," From Gryffindor we have Neville Longbottom, Parvati Patil and Katie Bell. There's no name from Slytherins."
" So a total of 13 people. It will do for now. Let's meet the 6 from our house first." They quickly talked with the six of them. Harry told them about the secrecy contract and the mind arts. After getting all of them to sign the contract he told them to gather in the morning and on Saturday and sundays.
The next day Padma and Daphne approached the three from Gryffindor secretly while Hermione and Sue tended to the Puffs and They got the secrecy contracts signed by everyone.
Harry got another good news that his house was completed and ready to move in. He immediately moved the prison trunk to his house and asked Alfred to buy metals and materials for smithing.
After the last time when he thought Flitwick and Mcgonagall were going to attack him, he realised that his preparation was a little inadequate prompting him to make a close combat weapon.
He decided to go with the Dagger as it was easy to hide on the body and also countered one of the disadvantages of wand magic by allowing someone to attack from a close range. He was already a master in the way of Dagger, already having learnt it from Gringotts hired tutors.
At last Harry made an artifact using goblin smithing method and added some enchantments and runes like sharpness, clean, indestructible, strong grip, blood recognition, summoning etc. It was sufficient for him to fight even if he ended up not being able to use magic.
Harry knew that Dagger could be sold to goblin for hundreds of thousands of Galleons but he did not want the goblin to have such lethal weapons in their possession. Harry might have used goblins' method of smithing but because of the reward from making Vorn, he already had more knowledge and experience than even the best crafter in the harry Potter world.
By the end of the week, Goblins were done tabulating the items inside the West family vault. But Harry was in no hurry to go there as he was busy in his own routine.
In the morning his taught his super 13, as he had started to call the group, then breakfast and classes where he read the books from his mom's library or the Hogwarts library, sitting in the corner in the last row silently. Vorn had already completed the notes for every subject, which were placed inside a new shelf in the side room.
Harry also made enchanted quills for everyone for which he got a hug from the boys and a peck on the cheek from every girl.
At night he practiced mind arts, meditation and dream magic. Learning about Dream Magic was a surprise for Harry. He had decided to sleep for an hour everyday just to see what rewards he would get when one day system notified him and gave him the basic knowledge of what Dream magics is. From that day Harry made sure to sleep for an hour daily.
