50 50. The true Ravenclaw

Hey guys..

The story about Harry's first week in Hogwarts will progress with a snail's pace. It is because I want to let you guys immerse in the story and understand what was actually happening.

I hope you guys will be with me in this. As I want to make this as realistic as I can.

Penelope was speechless hearing his question.

"Harry, this is only your second day in Hogwarts, but you are already bored.

By the way everyone wants to thank you but are afraid to disturb you."

"Thank me?" Harry asked not knowing what she was talking about.

"In your first potions class, you confronted Snape, and not only didn't face any punishment but were also able to suppress him completely. I am sure you are already treated as the Gryffindor hero in their house.

Everyone would have thrown a party if they were not afraid of offending you somehow." Penelope explained.

"Haha, you must be kidding Penelope. I don't think I'm that scary. As for what happened today, someone had to step forward, or everyone would have suffered much more from his tyranny. Since I have that capability, I decided I would stand against that injustice.

but you didn't answer my question. Are there really no other entertainment avenues? " Everyone in the common room looked at him in admiration.

"Harry, you are asking about it because it is your first day here. Trust me, you will not have any time for games and entertainment after some days as assignments and self-studies consume all the free time.

Magic has no end and if you want to excel then only limiting yourself to the syllabus will not help you. and many can't even finish their syllabus after pouring all their time.

Pure-bloods have it somewhat easy but for half-bloods and specially muggle-borns, we can't think about getting any job here in magical Britain. Those that have some money, open small labor shops and others either go to some other magical community- where they have to fight for work and need superior skills, or they become wands for hire- hoping that someone would give them work no matter how low the wages are." Penelope looks at first years and other younger years gathered around her solemnly.

"Here in Ravenclaw you will find the older years are always competing and always studying. That is because they start to realise the reality of the situation. Ravenclaw is known as the house of bookworms because we follow books without thinking out of the box. It is not that we can't think out of the box, it's just that we don't dare to think out of the box.

Without any background, without any strength if we go out and try to change things, we will be crushed to death by those at the top.

You don't have to worry Harry, with your fame you will not face too many problems later, but others are not that privileged. They will be suppressed later by those very people who they are standing against today with you. Please don't feel offended by my words but I just felt compelled to advise these young birds." Penelope never meant to say these words but Harry used his aura to make her feel close to them and say what really was in her mind

He himself had not realised the grim reality of this world. Till now he only thought about how to better himself, how he could survive and live happily. Only now, after listening to Penelope's words he started to think about the unprivileged.

Harry looked around himself to find that nearly the whole Ravenclaw house has gathered in the common room. Everyone was supporting a solemn expression, especially the younger years, Harry could see they were afraid and nervous after listening to Penelope.

"Penny- Can I call you that? " Seeing her nod Harry continued, " Penny, in this world, if anyone wants to go above and beyond then they need to fight. What you just told me is not wrong, you will be suppressed and beaten by society if you do anything out of the norm, but no one has it easy in the world except for few.

Those people whom you called the privileged, remain privileged because of those who fear the consequences before the deed. I will not say much but remember that our house is known as Ravenclaw and its symbol is an Eagle.

Ravens are brilliant birds often associated with wisdom and knowledge. They have a reputation for problem-solving and cleverness. By using raven in the name Rowena wanted to convey qualities such as expertise, innovation, and strategic thinking.

The eagle... it has no fear of adversity. They know where they belong and they never settle for less than their dreams. The eagle is a symbol of power, courage, and freedom. It never fears the storm, for it knows it can soar above it." Harry looked deeply at his housemates. He decided to initiate the change from his house. "You all can go above and beyond, you only need to be a true Ravenclaw."

"CLAP-CLAP" the sound of clapping brought everyone out of their stupor. Everyone looked towards the sound to find Professor Flitwick walking towards Harry with a proud expression.

"Very well said Harry. I'm proud of you." He said happily before looking at everyone. " Let me tell you all my experience. I am a half-goblin born in this very land. I too faced immense challenges but as Harry said, an eagle never gives up even if it has to become cruel to itself. I fought, I became a charm master, an international duelling champion and the head of Ravenclaw house in Hogwarts. So Never give up."

Everyone was filled with fighting spirit as they went to sleep that night.

"Harry, would you be able to accompany me and Minerva? If you want to sleep then it's alright, we can talk later as I can understand you have your classes tomorrow." Flitwick said looking at Harry hesitantly.
