Chapter 33 - An Interesting Meal Talk

After the initial creation of the raven, she decided to spend some time and create more false memories of other creatures that could be useful throughout her days.

She decided to stick with animals as her foundation for now— and while they weren't very strong— they would provide a great experience for her to improve her capabilities.

For now, and as she made more of them, they would give her a more intricate knowledge about how to craft fake memories, and how to make the creatures as detailed as possible.

This way, when she decides to make new creatures, monsters, and creations of her own, she would have the experience to do so and the likelihood of failure would drop.

Since it was currently a little after 3 pm, she had a little over 4 hours of disposable time to do with as she pleased, this meant she had time to work on the creation of other things before dinner was ready.

With determination in mind— and a set time limit for the day— she set out to work on bringing forth other creations.

She spent the next four hours hard at work creating detailed depictions of monsters in her mind— etching the animals within her false memories so that she would never forget them.

Ultimately, she managed to complete much more than she had thought she would get done, thanks to her enhanced mental capabilities.

26 creatures— a modest number that went over the original estimated amount she could create.

Creating detailed depictions of animals in her mind from nothing but memories of how she saw them in movies, books, and even personal experiences took time and energy.

She had to take intermittent breaks to alleviate some of the mental strain that had built up over the creation process, which slowed her down to an extent.

But it was still more than she had expected.

However, it's worth noting that even if she had only created 26 false memories over that period of time, it didn't mean she was limited to only 26 animals at a time.

She actually possessed the capability to create multiple illusions of the same creature simultaneously— allowing her to command them as she pleased.

Naturally, that sort of exertion would put a toll on her energy reserves, and would further drain her energy. But the utility of such a capability couldn't go unnoticed.

As for the animals she fashioned, she chose to focus on a range of foundational species she could recall effortlessly. From wolves and birds to rats and cats, she prioritized familiar and practical creations.

That's not to say she didn't make things she found cool either, such as snakes, lions, and even bears.

In essence, she had established a relatively small zoo within her mind, filled with common animals.

She had only stopped when she heard Albus's voice calling out to her from downstairs, saying dinner had been prepared and that she should come down to eat.

Rising from her bed she stretched her limbs— and while she had no need to do this— mundane habits were quite difficult to let go of, even for someone like her.

She descended the stairs and was met with the savory smell of food in the air. The aroma of the dishes prepared teased her tastebuds as she couldn't help but wait in anticipation for the meal.

Something she had come to learn while she was staying with Albus— that wasn't mentioned in the movies— was his talent for cooking.

Not just a talent for cooking, he was a great chef.

She could only assume that due to his long lifespan, he had a lot of time to perfect his cooking skills. Nevertheless, the thought that such a Grand Wizard could cook such wonderful meals, let alone cook them for her, was quite humorous.

"Come sit and enjoy, tell me what you think."

He beckoned as she entered the room, motioning for her to join him at the table— which she did without a second of hesitation.

Something else she had noticed during her stay with Albus, was the fact that he rarely needed food. She had seen him gone hours, even an entire day once, without eating and yet he seemed perfectly fine— there was no hint of hunger at all.

She could only assume it was due to his magic, but she wasn't quite sure what did it.

But she wasn't like that, not yet, at least.

To an extent, her body needed food, or rather, the energy food could provide to it, and as such, she had to eat sometimes to keep her body functioning.

Especially after spending so much energy on her work today.

"Ah, there is something I have to tell you."

Her thoughts were put to a halt as Albus spoke, causing her to look up from her meal to see what he was going to say.

"I have to temporarily return to Hogwarts, just for a day or two, in order to settle some matters about upcoming classes, can you stay here alone?"

From what she knew, Hogwarts was currently on break, which was the reason Albus had the free time to monitor her the way he did.

Most of the students had returned to their homes for the holidays, and only some of the teachers had remained in the school.

The fact that Albus had to return to the school was naturally because he was the Headmaster of it, so she understood.

"Of course."

Plus, she wanted him to return— it gave her free time.

"Why don't you come with me— as a trip— it'll only be for a day or two, and you could use the chance to explore the school you'll be attending, in the future."

He suggested, which caught her completely off-guard.
