43 Chapter Viserys Targaryen

As time went on Jaehaerys became old and he decided to choose a successor for his throne,who was Viserys Targaryen.The problem was Viserys was well-known to be easily swayed like his great grandfather Aenys.

Eragon and Gandalf believed Rhaenys daughter of Aemon to be a better ruler,but girls becoming Queens was not widely accepted in the Six Kingdoms.

Rhaenys was a great beauty and she was a clever, capable, spirited, proud, fierce and fearless woman. She had a fiery temperament.

While Viserys was amiable, open-handed and eager to please.Viserys reign was stable because of the support from many,who followed Jaehaerys rule and his only daughter was Rhaenyra was the only living child of King Viserys I Targaryen by his wife, Lady Aemma of House Arryn. Aemma is originally from House Arryn, and married Prince Viserys,she is half-Targaryen on her mother's side, and thus has Valyrian silver hair. Her mother, Daella, was a younger sister of Viserys's father Baelon, making them first cousins.

After producing the healthy daughter Rhaenyra, Aemma went on to have one child who died in the cradle, two stillbirths, and two miscarriages - five failed attempts in ten years at producing a healthy male heir for Viserys.Eragon and Gandalf warned them to not keep trying,but the warning went unheeded as Aemma felt duty-bound to keep trying, and became pregnant for a seventh time with a child that Viserys was convinced by a prophetic dream would be his male successor.

Also their daughter Rhaenyra became a dragonrider at the age of seven, when she flew into the sky on the back of a young dragon,whom she named Syrax.

At a young age, Rhaenyra had a crush on Eragon after her meeting with him in Middle Earth and she was taught by Eragon and Gandalf upon Viserys request.But both of them didn't agree with this at the time,but they tested her and the girl proved to be really sharp and capable.So they started teaching her,she proved herself and

a year later, when she was eight, Rhaenyra became a cupbearer for her father, serving him at the table, at tourneys, and at court. From that point onward, King Viserys was seldom seen without Rhaenyra.

Also during that time Otto Hightower was Viserys Hand of the King and just like Eragon and Gandalf thought,Viserys was influenced by Otto easily.

Otto changed Daemon from holding any position of power like Master of Laws or even Master of Coin.

Eragon and Gandalf had heard this and both of them couldn't help,but sigh in disappointment.As Eragon said"Otto can't manipulate Daemon like how he does Viserys,Daemon had seen this happen far to many times to fall for that.Thus Otto feels upon Daemon ascending the throne,he will lose the control he has now."

Gandalf who was smoking his pipe replied "True,Viserys now strained his relationship with his brother because of this."

Eragon knew there was sentiment among some the members that Princess Rhaenys should have taken the throne not Viserys.As people are not happy with Viserys bending to Otto's demands so easily especially Daemon,who while known as Rogue prince was still well liked became of his Charisma and sharp mind.

Unlike original timeline where Queen was unknown prospect here North has seen two Queens,both if them were had made North prosper during there time.So some in the Six Kingdoms are slowly warming up to the whole thing,
