Chapter 53

Eragon with Rhaenyra and Arwen visits Daemon and Laena for name day of their daughter.Both Viserys and Alicent arrived with their children,but things were going to get more serious after this day.Also because of assassination attempt on young Jaehaerys,Daemon had lot of guards around his wife and children.

The same was with Viserys,who felt something similar could happen to him.So guards loyal to Viserys were always spotted not much a distance from them,while Aegon,Aemond and Helena were completely unaware of this little development.

Rhaenyra who was with Laena questioned"So you are pregnant again?"

Laena smiled and replied"Yes the healer confirmed it."

Arwen who was doing Laena hair replied"That's good."

While Rhaenyra spotting all the guards outside questioned"So all these guards are all Daemon's trusted men,I suppose."

Laena sighed and replied"Yes he has become very protective."

But that would be ruined by none other than Aemond Targaryen,who was enraged or bitter

Aemond already had his own brother poking fun of him for not having a dragon even when he is Targaryen,things would get even worse as Jaehaerys was told to ignore Aegon and Aemond as much as possible.So when he did just that,but Aemond felt Jaehaerys was looking down on him and in that moment he made the stupidest decision that was going to see Vhagar.

Aemond this time was just a child and hoped to forcefully bond with Vhagar.

There are two ways to bond with a Dragon,first one was bonding with Dragon egg and 2nd was forcibly bonding with a Dragon this can happen,but the bond is halfway that best and this happened to Maegor.

So Aemond sneaked at night into to where Vhagar was kept,but seeing Dragon keepers

around the area,who were warning everyone about Vhagar.So Aemond waited for them to change their shift and at the correct time he got past them and saw the gigantic Dragon sleeping,it was Vhagar the bronze she-dragon with green-blue coloring and green eyes with a big, hanging wattle, long spiky "hairs," and a droopy Basset Hound face.

Vhagar was normally allowed to sleep outside and everyone warned about not going in that direction.Also Eragon himself warned everyone that Vhagar bond with Laena was the strongest and the possibility of anyone bonding with Vhagar after Laena was impossible.

When Aemond reaches for the ropes that lead to Vhagar's saddle, the dragon rears back and gave snarl.

As Aemond commanded"Dohaeras!....Dohaeras, Vhagar! Lykiri!"

This meant "serve," or in this instance, it's being used to convey "obey".

While Lykiri meant to calm down,which was not happening as Vhagar anger only increased with that a brat dare tried to forcefully bond with her when her rider was still alive.Also Vhagar's bond with Laena was so strong that she didn't want to bond with anyone after Laena.So a brat trying to forcefully bind with her only angered her further.

Aemond noticed Vhagar anger over again commanded"Lykiri!...Lykiri."

The next thing was dragon Keepers and the Aemond's personal guards who were searching for him heard screams, they rushed to see the youngest prince in a complete bloody mess,Vhagar seem to be glaring at the boy.

Aemond Targaryen had lost an arm,a leg and an eye.The Dragon Keepers thanked the gods that Vhagar seemed to be disinterested in the Prince and went back to sleep.
