2 Chapter 2: New Powers And Mischief

POV: Tobi

It's a bright and sunny morning, the birds are singing, the wind is blowing gently, and the sky above is a bright beautiful blue.

However, unlike the pleasant view around me, I wake up to a face full of dirt.

Sitting up and taking a look down at myself I see a body split down the middle, one half normal skin and the other a stark white. Since I lack a mirror I can't exactly look at my own face but from reaching up and touching it I can feel the wrinkle-like cracks that spread out from my right eye.

After getting a good look at myself I stand up and look around, surrounding me there's nothing but trees, dirt, and a chest.

"A chest?" There's a small frown on my face as I walk over to inspect it. It's made out of a light brown wood and has a small note taped to it.

"As a final parting gift to you Mr. Jones, or should I say, Tobi?" I can almost feel the smugness through the letter, "In this chest is a bag of Jewels, the money used in the kingdom of Fiore, along with the outfit you wished for, may you have a nice life." Inside does, in fact, lie the outfit I wished for. Obito's most recognisable outfit, and my new clothes for the foreseeable future.

As soon as I remove all the clothes and money from the chest it disappears, like it was never even there.

I can't help but let out an excited giggle as I put on the baggy Akatsuki cloak and slide the bright orange mask on to cover my face.

"First we find 'em, then we catch 'em, just leave it to Tobi. Okey dokey?" I say to the empty clearing, letting the air carry my words for a few seconds before falling down onto the ground in a fit of laughter.

I slide the mask off my face and lift it up above my face, "You know, I think this thing might be affecting my mind..." I muse, staring into the single eye of the mask, "Nah, I'm sure it's fine and totally not cursed."

"This is gonna be fun." I mutter before breaking out into giggles again, "Look out Earthland, because Tobi's comin'~!"

-----

I've been walking through the woods for the last two hours, two hours of nothing but trees, and dirt, and bugs! I hate bugs. "Damn it, if only I could just teleport to Magnolia or something..." I whine.

"Oh, wait." I stop in the middle of the forest, "I have kamui..." I say in an embarrassed tone, "Thank Kaguya there was no one around to see that..."

Stimulating my chakr- I mean magical power, I feel my sharingan activate, go through the transformation stages and eventually showing off my mangekyo sharingan in all it's glory.

"Alright Tobi, let's do this..." I hype myself up before using kamui, creating a small magical circle beneath the mask, and sucking myself into my own right eye.

-----

Surrounding me is an endless sea of grey rectangular blocks with an ominous black void pooling at the bottom of them, "...Well this place sure is dreary." I say as I look around kamui's dimension. "I'll have to spruce it up a little later, a plant here, a nice statue there, a little flower patch next to it... It'll be great!"

With my short venture into theoretical interior decorating done I take one last look around before using kamui again, letting myself get sucked into my own eye.

-----

The Kardia cathedral is the largest structure in the entirety of Magnolia, with tall spires that stretch far above any other building in the city, creating an imposing yet peaceful atmosphere surrounding it.

Standing at the top of one of these towers is a figure noticed by few, clad in a black cloak with red clouds on it and a one-eyed orange face mask.

"Ahh... this place is actually pretty beautiful and calm when it isn't getting rocked by Fairy Tail shenanigans." I say as I stare out across the city, my sharingan letting me see much further and in much clearer detail, "I can even see the first guild hall from here."

A short-range kamui has me standing in an empty alleyway, spooking a few of the rats that were scurrying around before I step out into the street.

Walking around Magnolia is actually pretty nice, it's got great scenery, it doesn't smell all too badly, and the people are pretty nice. I do whish they'd stop staring at me. I mean, I get it, I look totally awesome and cool, but there's no need to stare, is there?

I'm interrupted from my musings by feeling a small tug at the bottom of my cloak, "Hmm?" I humm as I turn to face the person that dared touch my cloak.

"Why do you wear that mask?" The child in front of me asks staring up and into my eye-hole.

"Well, it's so I can keep my identity concealed from the guards when I kidnap inquisitive boys and girls like you~!" I say in a deep, threatening voice as I lean in close to the kid, "...Kidding!" I add in a sing-song tone, watching the kid run away crying.

I let out a chuckle before continuing on my way, whistling as I make my way down the central street, still recieving stares from the residents that are obviously mesmerised by my utter coolness and incredible whistling skills.

It only takes a few minutes of walking for me to reach the Fairy Tail guildhall. Standing outside I watch as people walk in and out of the doors, the occasional bang or crash being heard from inside.

I do have plans to possibly join Fairy Tail eventually, but for now I'll refrain. After all, if I joined a legal guild and they knew who I was, I'd be severely limited in my mischief making!

I'll settle for just a small peek today.

-----

POV: Erza Scarlet

It's a relatively peaceful day today, no one's been injured on any missions, and there's only been one brawl today. A pretty successful day in all respects... Which is precisely why I'm on guard.

Peace like this never lasts, any second now one of the magic council's frog people are gonna walk in and announce that we need to pay for the reconstruction of so-and-so building, or that master needs to give a formal apology to some noble one of our members punched, or-

"Hey, who's that on the second floor?" Wakaba's voice cuts through my pondering, causing pretty much everyone in the building to look up to where he's pointing.

"Oops, you caught me~!" The intruder says in an immature tone, like a kid that got caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

He's leaning on the railing with his head cooked to the side, clad in a black robe with red clouds that have white outlines dotted around on it and a distinctive, bright orange mask that has a swirling spiral around it's singular eye.

"Man, I expected to be caught eventually, but I was thinking it was gonna be by Erza, Laxus or Mirajane, maybe even Natsu." He says lazily, "But Wakaba?"

"Hey!" The man in question shouts.

"This is a real blow to my self esteem you know..." The intruder whines as he hangs his head.

"Just who the hell are you?!" I hear Natsu shout from a few meters behind me.

"Me? Oh I'm Tobi! T. O. B. I. Tobi!" The intruder says gleefully, and before I can say anything he's hopped down to the ground floor.

As soon as his feet hit the ground I'm moving, rushing forward and raising my sword tip to his throat, "Why are you here?" I ask in a low growl.

The man seems to not even notice the sword held to his throat, and simply keeps going, walking straight through my blade!

"What the hell-" "How did he-" "Like it wasn't even there-"

The intruder seems completely unbothered by the exclamations of my guildmates, "Wooow, this place sure does look different in real life." He says as he nears the bar where master Makarov is sitting idly, staring at the orange-masked man.

Just a few meters away from the bar he stops, looking up and to his left. Just in time for Natsu to come barrelling down towards him with his hands aflame.

His impact kicks up a cloud of dust and smoke, obscuring their figures.

For a second there's complete quiet as the dust settles around them, but as soon they're visible again, I hear a gasp from Lisanna.

Squatting atop Natsu's body is the intruder, this 'Tobi', without even a scratch on him, or even a rip in his coat.

"Wow, Natsu-chan, that was mighty rude of you, don't you think-" He begins to say in a teasing tone.

"Get off of him." Master cuts him off angrily, causing Tobi to take a casual step back.

"Well, I can see when I'm not wanted, I'll be seeing you soon, Fairy Tail~." He says in a cryptic tone before suddenly some sort of suction force starts to suck him into his own eye, causing him to vanish completely.

Everyone except the groaning Natsu is completely silent, staring at the place where 'Tobi' once stood.

Gray eventually breaks the silence, "Master, who the hell was that!?"

Master Makarov simply sighs, "I don't know Gray, I don't know..."

POV: Tobi

"Holy shit! That was so nerve-wracking!" I shout in the empty forest clearing I woke up earlier today. "I was barely able to activate kamui in time before Natsu attacked me." I'm panting loudly, my whole body shaking with nerves and excitement.

I lay down on the soft grass to calm myself, "I need to do that again though, it was soo fun!" I sigh as my heart starts to slowly beat at a normal rhythm.

With a wide smile hidden behind my mask I sit up straight before setting my fist on fire in the same manner as Natsu, "I wonder if the rest of the guilds will be just as fun~!"
