Chapter 1: The Day Of Awakening

South of Heaven Dou Kingdom, Fasinuo Province, Holy Spirit Village. This is the novice village in which most Duo Luo Dalu fan-fics start. Nearby this village is a small forest. One boy is running from the top of the hill down a path in the forest. He looked like he was 6 years old.

The boy was somewhere about 4 feet tall and had long, flowing, untied hair that was silver-platinum in colour. It was swaying in the wind, as he ran. He had a really handsome face which was unusual for a child of his age. He was wearing a white double-tailed coat that had gold-colored buttons with a blue shirt inside and white pants. His eyes were the same color as his hair and his skin was a light white color.

This morning, like usual, he had gone for training at his secret lair hidden deep in the forest. But today was a special day. Today his Martial Spirit would be awakened. In the Duo Luo Continent, at the age of 6, the Martial Spirit of a person would be awakened. But that was not all. The quality of the Martial Spirit and the amount of spirit power in that person determined whether that person could cultivate into a soul master. The soul master population in the Dou Luo Continent comprises a small fraction compared to the population of ordinary people. (Further details will be given in the auxiliary chapters.)

The boy (who is also our protagonist) is named Wang Luan. Today, he was heading to his village's Martial Spirit Awakening Hall to awaken his Martial Spirit. 

Suddenly, a light cyan-coloured tab appeared in front of him. It was floating in front of him and was only visible to him.

''Huh, what!'' Wang Luan exclaims as he suddenly wakes up.

''Shhhhhhh!" Grandpa Jack scolds him. ''Stop making noise. Grandmaster Su Yuntao will be here any minute now.''

Then he looked around. There were 10 kids attending the Spirit Awakening Ceremony this year from their village including him. Tang San was standing right next to him.

''Oh, sorry Grandpa.''

'Now...What was that system thing again'

Therefore this means that you are actually in a parallel dimension of the Dou Luo Dalu where many things happened, some did not happen and something different happened]

The awakening ceremony was just like how it had happened in the original novel. Finally, it was Tang San's turn to awaken his spirit. As Tang San raised his right hand a small blue-silver grass appeared on it. But I also noticed him suppressing a black light in his left hand. Tang San then placed his hands on the crystal ball. It started to glow really bright. The Su Yuntao declared that his spirit power level was innately full. Then Su Yuntao started to persuade him to join the spirit hall which Tang San refused just like in the original novel.

''Huh, whatever. You come fast. What are you staring at?''

I quickly went over. Su Yuntao took my hand and transferred spirit power to me. Seeing the bright golden light around me getting stronger, he seemed to get excited. 

[Ding! First Martial Spirit Awakened- Mystic Flute]

A multicolored flute appeared in his right hand.

[Ding! The system will continue to absorb spirit energy for the awakening of the remaining two spirits]

Su Yuntao's hand seemed to be stuck on me. Suddenly it unstuck itself.

''Well, that was weird. Anyways, you seem to have awakened a flute martial spirit. Holds this to test the spirit power level.''

I held the crystal ball in my hands and it started to glow very bright.

''INNATE FULL SPIRIT POWER! TWICE IN A DAY!''

''Kid, do you want to join Spirit Hall?''

''Well.....'' Wang Luan started in a hesitant tone.

''Wait, let me guess. You do not wish to join spirit hall, right?''

''Well.....Yeah.''

''Alright then. I will inform the village head.''

All of them exited the awakening hall right when Grandpa Jack finished the conversation with Grandmaster Su Yuntao and called out to them.

''Hey Xiao Luan, Xiao San, come over!''

''Yes, Grandpa Jack!''Both of them said in unison.

''Grandmaster Su Yuntao told me that the both of you have got Innate Full Spirit Power. Is it true?''

"Yes Grandpa'' Wang Luan said.

''Yes! After so many years, three talents appeared in our village at the same time.''

''But Grandpa.... haven't we got only one working student quota per village? How can both of us go to an academy then?''

'' It's alright. I will borrow quotas from the other villages''

''Oh, okay.''

''Xiao San, let's go to that wretched father of yours and tell him the good news.''
