The semifinal's matchups were....

Nail Vs Mint

Goku Vs Chichi

The first match Nail Vs Mint started. Nail didn't improve his base power by much as he was focused on Kaioken and he lap had to train the other Namekians. So his base power was just 4.7 million. He could use Kaioken times 20 and due to his body able to regenerate, he could keep it active for longer. So his power could reach 94 million if he went all out. The match started and both Nail and Mint took the battle to the sky as to not cause any damage to the spectators. Nail easily blocked every advancement of Mint and Mint couldn't keep up. Nail was too strong for her even without using Kaioken.

Mint became frustrated as the fight went on. Nail was just toying with her. She wanted to prove herself to Goku. Goku had saved her and after that, her life became full of colours and for the first time, she could find happiness after living a life full of fear and hiding. She had seen Goku fighting Slug and wanted to be of help to him. So she trained very hard to be able to stand besides him. After she achieved her new power, she thought she was worthy of Goku. She wanted Goku to praise her. All these feelings conflicted and she started shouting indignantly "Ahhhhhhhh!!! I'll never be week again. I'll not hide. I'll be strong. Strong enough to protect my loved ones. Mother!!!! If I was only stronger. Ahhhhh!!!"

Then a golden glow surrounded her. Her spiky short hair (Similar to caulifla) started to spike up and her pupils disappeared and her eyes turned white. Her power multiplied 25x. She had reached False super saiyan. The form she had seen Goku achieve during his fight with slug. Her power level was now 87.5 million. She rushed towards Nail. Nail immediately used Kaioken times 15 and his power reached 70.5 million. He blocked her attack, but was pushed back. Goku was surprised seeing this happen. He thought 'She transformed into a false super saiyan must be because she saw me do it and also she must be lacking the right amount of S cells. That can be fixed soon."

The battle continued. Mint didn't let Nail recover and constantly pushed him back. Nail was on the defensive the whole time. He thought 'Saiyans are monsters. First Goku, now this saiyan girl.' Gritting his teeth, he shouted "Kaioken times 20" and his power increased further upto 94 million. The battle continued and neither of them were ready to give up. Goku shook his head seeing this. He was also happy that Mint will soon be a super saiyan. Now he can train her and have a great sparring partner who will constantly improve with him. The spectators were looking up the sky with awe as they were able to see awesome fights one after another in this tournament. They cheered both of them with excitement.

As the fight continued, both of them began to feel exhaustion. They were breathing heavily. Their stamina was low. And as it was her first time transforming and the false Super Saiyan state drained more stamina, she couldn't maintain it long and Nail had trained using Kaioken and could use it without much stress. Thus she returned to her base form and started falling. Goku immediately flew up and caught her from falling with a huge smile saying "You did great Mint. I'm proud of you". Mint was happy and she relaxed and closed her eyes as she slept in his arms. Then the winner was announced as Nail. Goku threw him a senzu bean, then landed down on the spectator box next to bulma and the rest then laid her down there to rest. Bulma nodded and he flew back to the ring.

The next match was chichi Vs Goku. Chichi immediately powered up to full power and Goku also limited his power to match chichi and their fight started. Even if Goku limited his power to match chichi, his saiyan body was more resilient and his techniques and battle experience were far above her. Krillin, Tien and Yamcha were shell shocked sensing chichi's power. They never thought that a human could achieve this kind of power. They all thought about Goku's power and as they all knew he was an alien, they brushed it off thinking it was an alien thing, but after seeing a human girl surpass them by nearly 100 times, they also made their mind to ask Goku to help them get stronger.

The fight continued. Goku constantly dodged and blocked chichi's attacks and occasionally countered her. He didn't want to hurt her. Seeing this and sensing his feelings, chichi forfeited the match after she became a little tired. Then the winner of the second match of the semifinals was declared as Goku. The crowd cheered once again. These were the best fights they had seen. All of them were awed seeing the fight between Nail and Mint. They were looking forward to the finals and witness Nail fight again. Chichi then went towards Bulma and sat in the spectators box.

The final match Goku Vs Nail was announced and both of them went to the arena. Nail immediately used triple Kaioken raising his power level to 14 million almost matching Goku's 15 million base power. Both of them took it slow as punches and kicks were blocked and countered. After fighting for 5 minutes, Goku said "That was a good enough warmup. How about we kick it up a notch?" Nail smiled and Goku used 2x Kaioken and reached 30million Nail also increased his power to match Goku and the fight continued. Shock waves were heard and felt all around the stadium with every punch.

Both of them were in full control of their ki as to not hurt the spectators. The whole stadium was silent watching the incredible fight. Nail used 20x Kaioken and fought with his full power and Goku used 6x Kaioken matching him. The fight continued. Goku was smiling ear to ear matching every move of nail. He wasn't even slightly out of breath while Nail was breathing heavily. Goku then decided to end the fight and he powered up to 7 times Kaioken reaching 105 million and flickered up above Nail and punched him making him crash into the ground outside the ring.

The arena was still silent without a single sound and the blond announcer made his announcement "The winner of the 23rd Martial arts tournament is Goku" After hearing this, the crowd started an uproar and cheered loudly. This world tournament was the best. They had never seen something like this before in their lives. The cheers continued for a long time until Goku went ahead and received the price money. Thus Goku became the champion of the 23rd martial arts tournament and the strongest man (Saiyan) on earth.

(A/N: Finally finished the tournament fights. I'm not good in this department. Might seem rushed. I'll try to improve writing the fight scenes without rushing as time goes on.

Next chapters will be a massive time skip until the start of DBZ saiyan saga. And Goku getting married. And lots of training.
