18 Chapter 17- A Nightmare fever
"HUH...HUH...HUH"
When she heard mumbled sounds next to her in the bed, Liu Erlong opened her eyes slightly and looked at Liu Feng, who was sweating and whimpering with a convulsed face.
"Fenge'r!, wake up, Are you alright?" With a shocked expression, Liu Erlong shouted, caressing Liu Feng's sweaty sleeping face.
'Why is he not waking up and his breathing is decreasing?' pondered Liu Erlong, immediately taking Liu Feng into her arms as she sought to wake him up.

A giant claw's nail had pierced into Liu Feng's stomach, and an unknown red-haired woman was beneath him, with a beast's nail piercing her tummy. Liu Feng's heart ached when he saw her miserable state, and he could feel his heartbeats slowing. He attempted to touch her but abruptly opened his eyes as his mother called him with a heartbroken expression.
"Fenge'r!, can you hear me?" shouted Liu Erlong as she saw her son awaken with a haggard face and heaving deep breaths.
"Huh...Huh...Huh"
"It's OK, honey, you're going to be fine," Liu Erlong whispered as tears streamed from her eyes, Liu Feng's awareness was not present due to the stabbing sensation in his stomach that happened in his nightmare, making it difficult for him to think clearly.
His bleary eyes slowly closed as he nuzzled into Liu Erlong's arms, softly patting his blonde hair, and her heart wrenched as she saw her son's frightened tears fall.
"Why..." murmured Liu Erlong, biting her lower lip and staring at her kid. She sat in that position, constantly rubbing Liu Feng, fearful that he would have another nightmare.
It dawned that Liu Erlong didn't sleep at all while caring for her son in her slender arms, who was sleeping as his depleted face returned to normal, causing Liu Erlong's heart to sigh with relief and gently place him on the bed.
"Hmm?, Mommy you already woke up?" Liu Feng questioned with a smile on his face while waking up, as Liu Erlong didn't dare express grief on her face and nodded back at him.
"Hehe, then I'm going out for my training because Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling should wake up," Liu Feng grinned as he looked at Liu Erlong, who was grinning back at him, but he sensed something was wrong with her. His small palm caressed her cheek with a concerned expression, Liu Erlong's heart couldn't take it any longer when she saw his concerned face, but she didn't cry and acted confusedly.
"What happened, Fenge'r?" Liu Erlong inquired, her face looking perplexed.
"Nothing I just felt something wrong with you, are you hiding something from me, Mommy?" Liu Feng inquired, causing Liu Erlong's heart to quiver.
"No, Honey, you're imagining I'm perfectly fine, and you should go now because both girls should be waiting for you to train," Liu Erlong remarked, Liu Feng agreed while frowning at his mother and proceeded to the training mountain.
"I can't handle this anymore..." said Liu Erlong while she fell on the bed, covering her face with her arm and cried out.
For the past two weeks, Liu Feng had nightmares in which his breathing became difficult, causing Liu Erlong's heart to suffer. And she didn't even sleep at night for two weeks, making her days spin with sluggishness and exhaustion.
But after waking up in the morning, Liu Feng forgot about the nightmares, putting Liu Erlong in a tough position because she didn't want to ask him for fear of frightening him again after remembering the nightmare.
"Maybe Aunt Daiyu have a solution for this?" Liu Erlong reasoned that she did not ask for help from Ye Daiyu and Dugu Bo because they were busy with their work and she didn't want to bother them.
She got up and walked out of her home till she reached the bottom of the mountain, where she saw Ye Daiyu, who was gently smiling at her with her stunning face, that either male or female hearts would fall for her.
But now her face had turned to a ferocious beast expression, and her swirling murderous intent eyes were staring at Liu Erlong's sobbing face.
When Liu Erlong spotted Ye Daiyu, she shivered and glanced down, trying to suppress feelings.
"Which bastard made you cry?" Ye Daiyu said, many thorny vines whirling beneath her legs and all her 8 spirit rings assembling behind her.
"Aunt Daiyu control yourself, Fenge'r may find out" said Liu Erlong with a hurried expression as Ye Daiyu controlled her anger while taking back her spirit Throny vines.
"Why are you crying Erlong?" Ye Daiyu inquired, speculating that Liu Feng might be to reason as she knew Liu Erlong was new to taking care of the child. Liu Erlong's arms shook as she remembered her son's crying face every night, ripping out her sad-filled heart and drowning in emotions.
Ye Daiyu looked at Liu Erlong and she now understood everything as she lovingly hugged her and caressed her long black hair.
"Is it about your son?" said Ye Daiyu as Liu Erlong nodded in response while sobbing so hard that her tears stained Ye Daiyu's clothes.

In the guest room,
"Did you calm down, Erlong?" Ye Daiyu inquired after sitting in the chairs with Liu Elrong. Liu Erlong gave her a faint smile of assurance and explained everything had happened.
"You idiot, if I didn't come to meet you, I may never found out your situation and what you did is really very dangerous for your son!" Ye Daiyu exclaimed as Liu Erlong downed her with an ashamed expression.
"Sometimes taking care of children is more difficult than you think, and you are inexperienced; at the very least, you should have asked for help other than mine," Ye Daiyu stated, ignoring Liu Erlong's emotional state and scolding her.
"TADAM"
"Aunt Erlong!, Liu Feng fell on the ground unconsciously," Dugu Yan said as she dashed from the training area to the guest room block, panting heavily.
"What?" exclaimed Liu Erlong stood up from the chair and rushed out of the room, heading towards the training mountain. Ye Daiyu and Dugu Yan followed the anxious Liu Erlong.
"Fenge'r!" shouted Liu Erlong, her eyes widening when she looked at Liu Feng, whose face was red and feverish. The cold Ye Lingling was crying as she called out to Liu Feng, who had collapsed on the ground.
"His body temperature is hot," Liu Erlong muttered anxiously as she felt his body temperature with her palm, and she scolded herself for not checking his condition after his frequent nightmares.
"Erlong, calm down and bring me cold water and a towel; I'll take Liu Feng to the house," Ye Daiyu remarked before carrying Liu Feng to the house in the lush mountain.
Liu Erlong dashed to get the cold water, while Ye Daiyu sent Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling to their respective rooms to wait for her.
"Poor kid, such a high fever because of continuous nightmares had an impact on his young mental health, and it looks like I have to use my innate ability," Ye Daiyu stated as she kept Liu Feng on the bed, his forehead furrowed in pain as his entire body felt fatigued and heated.
Ye Daiyu lovingly massaged his feverish face with her warm palm, and the Spirit Throny Vines formed two wings on her back. A green lighting crown of vine emerged on her brow, and her hands shimmered with life power as it passed to Liu Feng.

The complexion of Liu Feng returned to normal after the effects of the Ye Daiyu's life power, but Ye Daiyu did not cease her treatment as the green light of the Crown vine on her brow transformed to white light.

The white light of the Crown vine washed away a dark aura on Liu Feng's forehead, and his fever was fully gone as he gently smiled, causing Ye Daiyu to sigh with relief.
Every Ye Clan direct lineage member has innate healing abilities, but the Nine Heart Flowering Apple Healing spirit was a rare spirit inherited in a single line of generations. The last inheritor of Nine Heart Flowering Apple was Ye Daiyu's daughter, who died, and it had already been decided that Ye Lingling was the next inheritor.
"If my granddaughter had awakened the spirit, his fever and nightmares should have gone away very easily," Ye Daiyu stated, her expression slightly fatigued.
"Aunt, I got the cold water and towel," Liu Elrong replied, sweating forming on her face and a worn expression from lack of sleep and running.
"Don't worry, he's fine, he just needs some sleep Erlong," Ye Daiyu said, causing Liu Erlong to fall to her knees, her emotions overwhelming as she cried out loud realising her kid was fine.
"Silly girl, you don't need to feel pressure for your son's wellness and taking care of him, remember your aunt is always there for you," Ye Daiyu replied, wiping the tears from Liu Erlong's worn-out face.
"It's been difficult for me to care after him, and I'm scared to think about the dangers that surround him in the future," Liu Erlong sobbed. Ye Daiyu understood exactly what Liu Erlong was feeling because she had already cared for two children on her own.
"It's OK, we'll figure it out gradually, and you can rely on Dugu Bo and me," Ye Daiyu comforted Liu Erlong as she gently encouraged her to stand and move to the bed where Liu Feng was sleeping blissfully after the treatment.
"You take care of your son and put the wet cold towel on his forehead," Ye Daiyu said as she left both of them alone and proceeded to see Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling, who were concerned about Liu Feng.
