13 My hero? And where am I? (Redone)

(This is a massive chapter containing over 5400 words.)

(This will be kind of a Filler chap, but it should be necessary for future plots so bear with me… Next one after this should be the one you are all waiting for)

(I was greatly conflicted as to post this chapter or not. Since I ended up changing some things, the easiest Lore explanation for some events ended up being cut. So I will have to go with the other one I thought about... But I didn't like that other one. I guess we can only roll with it, Nevertheless, it's an interesting chapter)

(You will also notice that the last few chapters were quite bigger than normal... That was because I ended up fusing many things together. Next chap will be like that as well with over 5000 words, and finally, the last chapter of Volume one will also have 5000 Words.

Today was quite a busy day. In the morning I went around Orario looking to buy some supplies since most shops were trying to sell extra supplies before the new year. (Similar to Black Friday)

And in the afternoon I went to the Hephaestus Familia workshop area in order to apply to join them.

But on the way, I met with the adventurer and learned something rather interesting.

After my meeting with him, I went to apply to join the Hephaestus Familia.

But I was too late and they had already closed... And they will remain so for the next week.

"Now it's only next year together with the Loki Familia."

'She always welcomed new blood as long as they passed her criteria. Which was rather high but at the same time proper.'

I severely underestimated the abilities of the artisans of Orario.

Their skills can allow them to fix something like this rather easily.

So after reaching an agreement, I had my sword and armor be fixed in a week for around 300K Vallis.

But after researching some more, this price was actually quite low...

40K for the sword, 240K for the armor, and the rest for a few supplies I needed.

It is lower than the price to acquire a new set of armor. The blacksmith actually praised the armor, saying it was a shame it was made from low-tier materials.

So overall, my armor should be more than enough even when I become an adventurer. There isn't any need to buy a new one.

My strength didn't allow me to process anything else...

The shield isn't the best, but it's surely not terrible.

As for my Mk3 sword and shield fragments...

I kept them stored.

The reason for this is that there were some unique techniques I don't want others to know. I used advanced knowledge that is not from this world.

Even if they aren't anything special, they represent my own form of craft. And perhaps one day I can develop it into something truly unique.

So my armor issue was solved and my Familia issue is soon to be solved.

I have fully tested my powers and combat abilities.

Although there are some mysteries still left unanswered, I have progressed at a decent pace

'The door hummed a strange sound and several symbols lit up in it.'

"One… Six… twelve. Twelve symbols."

"A crab, a lion, a bull, twins…"

"Aren't these… The 12 Zodiac?"

If it's just that then it's easy!

Although this world doesn't have the 12 Zodiacs, they still have their own constellations. Perhaps that's the challenge?

N1- The Frog is based on King Harold from… Shrek.

N2- The spider is based on Arachne and her myth.(Ancient Greece)

N3- The deer is based on the Actaeon myth.

The statue and the door don't have any bases. But I did think of Wuxia novels trials as a base for them.

This has a very important event... I was deeply conflicted if should have moved it into the second volume, but I think it's quite nice just keeping it in the place it was born.

This was something very different from what I am used to writing. It has a little bit more of a comedic sense, and I am not someone with a normal sense of fun...
