7 Meeting the Aretmis Familia...mainly Artemis!

AN: I just realized a big mistake in last chapters title but whatever...also if this chapter seems weird or if our mc's personality seems weird it will be explained later but I tried my best to subtly explain. However basically this chapter is mainly to show at what some of Sukuna's traits affected Enkidu the most vs. the ones that are the same.

I stood speechless. I just looked at the notification blankly; the only thought I could form was why I hadn't tried attempting Fūga at all. I had Sukuna's knowledge and knew the requirements for it, but because I didn't know the difference between the two flames, I wasted so much time. Now, I had to train a new skill all the way to the peak!

"Hah~ Whatever, it's not like it will be that hard in reality." I shook my head and rejoined the Familia in front of me. All of the members of the Familia stared at me, all of them with different reactions—some blushing, and some staring seductively. I didn't care either way, as being appreciated by pretty women and girls wasn't by any means disappointing, however, I wouldn't be having relations with any of them! I prefer women who catch my eye, mind, and heart, and she has to capture all three.

Thankfully, I chose Sukuna's path; his mentality has helped me greatly come to terms with both brutality and controlling certain urges, mainly lust along with gluttony. In turn, though, my pride and greed have skyrocketed! I didn't think Sukuna was the greedy type, but maybe he was in his own way, and I never noticed.

'Hm..?'

Pah~ clang!

A white leather bag came flying at me, which made me pause. My payment came quick; I can't believe 1 million is in this bag. It was quite small when you compare it to the sum I was supposed to be paid!

"That's for you." A blue-haired beauty with green eyes confirmed my payment, but that didn't matter. This woman! My eyes saw deeper, saw more, and appreciated every detail. Sometimes this trait could be considered a curse, but right now it was a blessing!

'Surrounded by stars and with an aura unlike anything a mortal could obtain!' Her figure and facial features were superb, but I should calm down. If I was only focused on appearances, then I surely would have lost my composure, but I'm not, so we are good. It was clear she didn't prefer talking to men anyway; I'm sure she is only being "neutral" because I helped her people.

"Not a thanks?" I threw a little joke.

"No. I paid. If you did it for free then I'd consider it." She kept the same neutral tone. She didn't even appreciate the joke! Sure, it wasn't the greatest, but it was to lighten the mood a little.

"Fair. If I propose the same conditions, will you and your people accept?" I became serious as her presence would be helpful in the long run.

"Us? How could we help you? You clearly are stronger than any of my familia." She tilted her head in confusion, to which I couldn't blame her, but her thinking was a little lacking... no, stiff? Ahh, whatever.

"I'll pay 100,000 for you to vouch to the guards and the guild for me. I need to get a new ID, and having someone beautiful like yourself will surely help. Humans typically loosen up to something cute or pretty."

"F-Flirting won't get you anywhere!" The woman's face turned a little red, and words stuttered a little? I don't understand why though; I wasn't flirting, I was speaking the truth. I'm surprised she didn't find any of my wording weird but if she didn't care I wouldn't fix it.

"Uh? That wasn't my intention, but you can take that I was if you want. I was just trying to get a goddess to vouch for me." My face was deadpan! Sure, I found her pretty, but it wasn't like I actually had any feelings for her.

"Do you know me?" I looked at her and she stared back. I could very well just say that my eyes are a little special, but then that would reveal a trump card of mine so I think I'll just go with a yes.

"Yes. Before you try any funny test or anything, that symbol on that carriage along with your Familia members tell me that this Familia is Goddess Artemis's people and you being that goddess makes you Artemis!"

"But y-you don't know me based on looks?" Artemis's face fell; her neutral expression before had become one of slight sadness! Not that I had a single clue as to why.

'Should I just say yes? I figure that will cheer her up and let us hurry to the city of Orario. I might as well! I really need her to vouch for me; if not, then my life will become more annoying, I already miss the forest! I was unrestrained, but now I have to worry about society and rules again at least for a little bit. Heh, I'm sure the city will have many opportunities for me to let loose, but for now...'

"Yeah, I know you, but you wouldn't have known me, so I figured giving that explanation would make you less wary!" I made my tone a little bit more excited; hopefully, that helps this woman hurry up.

Her slight frown, which was only noticeable because of my Six Eyes, became a slight smirk. Thankfully, she was pleased! Now, I can get what I want, and we can go our separate ways, buuuut I wouldn't hate it if we met again. I figure it'd be fun; she could become my first friend in this world.

'Hehehe, thankfully I didn't become exactly like Sukuna because otherwise I'd be one lonely man, though I guess for him he didn't really care so if I did lose myself I wouldn't have cared much either.'

"Okay! I'll vouch for you, but I want you to keep me company until we get there. It should be about 3-4 hours according to what Rethy told me before those thugs attacked. Tch! If you hadn't come, they would have met my punishment!" Artemis pouted a little and stomped back to her carriage.

"Hahaha~!" I laughed at her cute reactions and followed behind her. My laughter earned me a glare, but instead of feeling scared, I just laughed even more!

"Hey! Stop laughing, or I won't vouch for you."

"..." My face quickly became stone. Nothing on this earth will make me laugh, nor will it affect me in any way!

"Pfft! Okay, okay, it wasn't that serious."

"No, no. You don't understand; I hate wasting my time, so you not vouching would cause me a lot of unnecessary trouble. Also, it just clicked, but who is Rethy?" I was actually curious. Who could name their child such a horrible name!

"Oh, she's over there." Artemis pointed at the reddish-brown-haired woman. We made eye contact, and she eyed me suspiciously, to which I could only smile awkwardly. I didn't do anything to deserve such a gaze!

'I guess she doesn't like me. Eh, whatever. I plan on cutting contact anyway after I get what I want. Damn, Sukuna, thank you for existing! If you hadn't, I wouldn't be able to be around so many beautiful women without going with their whims.' While I wasn't a virgin, I had only had sex twice in my last life, so I can't say I was a veteran either!

"Alright, guys! Let's get moving!" Artemis ordered, and we both entered the carriage, which made the stares of every woman present pierce through me! However, Goatkuna himself was saving me from feeling any type of anxiety or even caring. I just need to get to the city; that's it!
