Chapter 32 : Meeting Yu Rou

"Please wait here for a moment," Yuan instructed, swiftly logging off as it was time for Yu Rou's return.

After exiting the game, Yu Rou's familiar voice didn't greet him, indicating that she hadn't returned from school yet.

"Soul Weapon... Huh," Yuan mused, deep in thought as he gazed at the Star Abyss.

Ever since acquiring the Star Abyss, Yuan had made numerous attempts to summon it, but without success, leaving him pondering the reasons behind his failure.

"It seems I can't make any progress without embarking on cultivation," Yuan murmured, contemplating the possibility of seeking treatment for his condition.

"I've been here for a while, and I've been exploring the city with a friend until you returned," Yuan replied, deliberately omitting any mention of the teleportation device. "I'm currently waiting for you at the city entrance."

"Great! I'll log in shortly, but let's have a meal first," Yu Rou suggested, beginning to feed Yuan the soup. She was curious about the friend Yuan had mentioned but decided to hold her questions for the time being.

"It's been a long time since I last saw you," Yuan said, examining Yu Rou. "You have blossomed into a beautiful and enchanting young woman."

"Haha, thank you," Yu Rou giggled joyfully in response to Yuan's compliment. "Brother Tian, you are also remarkably handsome and impressive."

Chuckling, Yuan lightly patted Yu Rou's head. "Come on, I want to introduce you to my friends in this world."

Yu Rou, slightly bewildered, asked, "Brother Tian's friends?" She glanced around until her eyes settled on Xiao Hua and Xuan Wu Han.

"Yes, but please don't call me Brother Tian in this world. My name here is Yuan," Yuan explained,expressing his dislike for the name given to him by the Yu family.

"Sure," Yu Rou agreed to Yuan's request. However, she soon noticed something and inquired, "Brother T-Yuan, are you the player named Yuan?"

"Player Yuan? I'm not sure, but before I was taken into the Yu family, I used that name," Yuan replied. Due to his real-world condition, Yuan couldn't access the internet or verify the specifics, so he was unaware of the existence of a player named Yuan.

Yu Rou was shocked to hear Yuan's response, realizing that he easily knew about her brother's past.

"How did Brother Yuan know this?" Yu Rou asked, surprised that he could discern her knowledge about the previous Yuan just from her reaction.

Yuan looked at Yu Rou and explained, "Well, I'm good at reading body language. It was clear to me that you had already guessed or knew that my name before coming to the Yu family was Yuan."

"Don't think too much of it, but remember that my name in this world is Yuan," Yuan said, and seeing Yu Rou nod in understanding, he continued, "Let's go. I want to introduce you to my friends in this world."

Yu Rou agreed, and together they approached Xiao Hua and Xuan Wu Han.

"Sorry for being late," Yuan apologized as he stood in front of his friends, with Yu Rou beside him. "This is my younger sister, Yu Rou."

"And this is Xiao Hua, who has been with me since I arrived in this world," Yuan introduced, pointing to Xiao Hua, who nodded politely while observing Yu Rou with curiosity and caution.

"I'm honored to meet you," Yu Rou said, bowing slightly to Xiao Hua, amazed by her beauty despite her young age.

"And this is Xuan Wu Han. She is a friend I met at an auction and the daughter of the city lord," Yuan added, pointing to Xuan Wu Han.

"I'm pleased to meet you," Xuan Wu Han said, reciprocating the greeting.
