Using magic

Walking towards the forest while observing my grimmore in hand I decided to try out the three spells written there. By the way the magic I have is called wither magic it is mostly works on the principal of erosion and corrosion. After reaching in a clearing in the middle of the forest which has the hut I mostly live in. I decide to teat my magic.

Why train near my house when I literally use magic that will destroy most things? Because I was leaving this place anyway. I decided to be a magic knight not because i want to save people I am not some shonen protagonist I chose that path because it was the easiest way to get stronger and have a semi stable income source.

"Okay time to start my magic." I was excited at the prospect of using magic for the first time. Although it won't be hard to join a magic knight squad if I show some potential it would be better if I could show of a little if I want a good position and a better squad. Hence, I started training my magic.

I chanted"wither magic: Corroding skull" a black flame burned on top of my hand the black translucent smoke like flame took the shape of a skull and hit a nearby tree. The tree trunk was blown apart but the two parts of tree also were turning into dust with black translucent smoke coming from it. Although the process was slow but it was eroding the tree at a steady pace but the rate of erosion was increasing as if the more time passes the faster the erosion becomes within a minute not even a part of the tree remained every part crumbled into dust and was blown away.

"Damn, isn't it too op?" I thought to myself but I then realized that even time magic was a thing in this world so I didn't get too excited.{A/N: Time magic is too broken change my mind.}

After experimenting with this spell for some time I figured out a few things, first: the magic I used had incredibly low mana consumption I first thought that it was because I had large mana reserves so it felt that way but I quickly threw out that theory because I had used mana in other things before like using mana to strengthen my body or using mana sense there I realized that the mana of my body was too little makes sense since I was a commoner and not some prince or descendant of some elf.{A/N: *Cough* Yuno *Cough*}

But all was not bad since I figured out that due to my status as a otherwolder or because I lived in the void I had really good magic control. Maybe living in the void for too long made me calm or something I don't know how magic works.Although even with that magic control I shouldn't be using this less mana in my spells.

Second: Maybe it was due to special nature of my magic.' My magic wither magic was very weird it crumbled and eroded everything it touched. Even mana should be eroded. So in a sense it was a kind of anti magic but so much more.

Third: I could control the withering effect. like, I could lessen the effect or increase the effect or even turn it off but it took a lot of concentration to do that and I have train in that sector after all controlling a spell after it was fired was really hard it was possible for me due to my impressive mana control that even put most captains to shame. Maybe it was my transmigration cheat.

I also realized I could fire multiple skulls at once, six being the limit. The problem I couldn't do more wasn't because of the lack of mana it was because I couldn't maintain over that for some kind of reason. Guess I'll have to surpass my limits but that is for another time. I also looked into the other to spells.

Both of them were extremely useful while the first spell "Corroding skulls" could be used as a method of controlled attack with multiple targets the second spell "Crumble" could be used in closed combat it was covering my hands with my magic and crumbling anything I touch mostly anything I think some things might be a little resistant to it, why? because covering my hand with wither magic should also effect me don't get me wrong I felt that if I use continuously it for sometime even my hand will get withered but it was still resistant to it which proved the theory that some things can be more resistant to it than others but nothing can be truly immune to it maybe later I could find a way to control which things get withered and which things don't get effected by my magic.

My third spell took inspiration from another anime. Seeing as how my magic seemed to take shape resembling bones I used my magic to create a rib cage like structure with my magic around me covering me with all sides with withering magic and I called it Susa... *cough* *cough* "Partial Withering Embrace".

This spell was absolutely amazing in defence as to break through it you either have to have enough firepower to break through or enough mana to bypass the withering effect which is harder than it sounds since my withering effect is too op especially if I actively try to wither it. But for now I can only create a ribcage and not anything more that's why I called it partial since it is incomplete spell but it still can tank spells from everyone below the threshold of captain. But there was a catch I could only use it for 5 mins before starting to burn through my magic it was the first time I felt the lack of magic it seems I was a bit overconfident I can't use it now even the partial version is too much. I need to find a way to use it without that burn out but for now I need to get used to my magic and control it better. All right time to train.

It has been 6 months since I got my grimmore I have been training to control my magic and found out that your magic capacity is not set at birth through meditation I have increased the mana capacity of my body 3 times than what I had before. Not only that I use less magic to cast my magic now. I also created some spells to have a more versatile and wider arsenal of spells. It was safe say that I was more than ready for that exam.

Time to show off and annihilate everyone in the exam "muahahaha *cough* *cough*" After finishing my monologue I snapped a tree in half with my magic and used it instead of a broom to the capital with my magic control it was quite easy to do so. The strongest wizard needs a flashy entry after all. Even if the tree was not that big it was still decent for my entry.

I stood on top of the tree and the tree started to float time to start my life for real now. To the capital I said and rushed towards the capital.
