Chapter 39: Coral Peacock's Condition.

When Ben, Anny, and Mary listened to Valentine's story intensely, Ben looked at her with pity, seeing her bitter smile that was trying to hide her pain.

"First, we need to get full information on this matter and call our headquarters to request the details about Magic Knight Fin's death case and ask them to contact Coral Peacock to get the details of Lilly and Jonny's death cases,"

Ben said, turning to Anny and asking her to get the details of Fin and Lilly's death cases.

Anny nodded her head and walked out of the room to contact Blue Rose headquarters.

"Before finding who the psycho is, we need to find out how he was able to kill Lilly, Jonny, and Fin,"

Ben informed Valentine of their next step after Anny walked out of the room.

Seeing Valentine, who was shocked and looked scared, Ben consoled her.

Anny entered the room, and all eyes were on her, waiting for the news.

"Headquarters agreed to provide us with the case details. We will get them in Glazba, along with the details of Lilly and Jonny's deaths. But..."

While informing them, Anny suddenly paused.

"Well... What happened?"

Seeing Anny pause midway, Ben asked her, confused.

"Well, I informed them about the serial killer. When Coral Peacock heard about this matter, they wanted to send their magic knight to join us in this case,"

Anny explained with a defeated sigh.

He was thinking about what the psycho's next move would be.

When the time arrived for departure, Valentine, along with her family, boarded the two chariots.

Meanwhile, Ben, Anny, and Mary followed them on the air route on their respective brooms.

Charlotte was preparing to go to the capital to report to the Wizard King about this month's mission, along with energetic Sol.

Suddenly, Peggy entered the office and reported that Anny had requested information.

"That case... The unsolved one... Why does she need it?"

Charlotte asked Peggy, who informed her about the mission that Mary, Anny, and Ben went on.

Charlotte wasn't present when those three left for the mission;

she had been busy with other matters.

"What! Ben went on a mission. Why haven't I been informed about it? Why do they need information on those old cases?"

Hearing that Ben had gone on a mission without her knowledge, Charlotte was shocked and asked for more details.

"Sis, I was the one who approved the mission. It was a protection mission. Both Anny and Mary were eager to do it, so I allowed them, and it seems like they invited him to tag along,"

Sol explained, looking at Charlotte, who was still in shock.

After Peggy informed them about Anny's report via the magic communicator, Charlotte sighed.

"Then send them the required information they asked for. Also, contact Coral Peacock and request those two reports,"

Charlotte instructed, nodding in understanding and permitting the contact with Coral Peacock about the matter.

After giving the order, she left the office, confident that Ben would be fine.

At the Coral Peacock Magic Squad's base...

Dorothy was sleeping peacefully in her office, oblivious to her surroundings.

Meanwhile, Kirsch Vermillion was doing paperwork at a desk in the room.

"You should have seen those filthy villains' faces when they faced my handsomeness and I cast Clones of a Beautiful Me,"

Kirsch boasted to one of the magic knights, who listened with dead eyes.

This was a normal occurrence.

Whenever there was paperwork, Kirsch would summon a magic knight and start having a "fun" conversation, which was more like torture for the knights.

"Who is it, disturbing my handsomeness while I'm working?"

Kirsch voiced his annoyance, flicking his hair.

The magic knight sighed, seeing a chance to escape from this torture.

"Reporting: The Blue Rose Magic Squad has requested details about one of our old missions, sir,"

came a voice from outside the door.

"Enter. These people always disturb my handsomeness,"

Kirsch sighed, asking the person to enter the office.

The magic knight who came to report entered the room and handed over the detailed report.

"Send it to them on one condition: one of our people will be with them during this mission,"

a sweet voice suddenly instructed the reporting knight. It was none other than Dorothy Unsworth, the captain of Coral Peacock.

She was a young-looking, lilac-haired, fair-skinned woman of slightly below-average height.

She wore a pointed hat with a wide brim and a garland of natural flowers wrapped around the cone's base.

Her outer cloak was clasped by a flower-shaped brooch.

"Captain! Yes, Captain,"

the magic knight said, stunned by Dorothy's sudden awakening and giving a salute.

After that, he took the magic communicator and informed Blue Rose about their demand.

After ending the conversation, he turned and reported to Dorothy that Blue Rose had accepted the condition.

"Mmm,"

Dorothy nodded, satisfied.

How could they leave solving their own men's deaths to another squad without their involvement?

"Who are the other parties on this mission?" Seeing his chance of escaping slipping away, the magic knight who was with Kirsch asked.

"It states that the ones who took this mission from their side are Anny, Mary, and Ben,"

the reporting knight stated.

"Fufu~ that's interesting... That boy from the last magic knight exam is there..."

Hearing Ben's name, Dorothy's sleepy eyes opened curiously, and a mischievous grin slowly appeared on her lips.
