Chapter 5

3rd Person POV

When Amanda looked toward the direction where Gojo was previously standing, she did not see him there anymore.

"Ahh~, my knight in shining armour~, you saved me~."

Suddenly Amanda heard a joking voice behind her.

As soon as she turned around, she came face to face with Gojo who was standing very close to her.

"H-how? You were standing there a second before."

Amanda spoke up, as she looked at Gojo.

"Meh, don't mind the small details."

"Hmm, you have <55> points huh."

Gojo spoke after a silence of couple of seconds between them.

"You seem to be having a great time."

Amanda said to Gojo, while looking at the the corpse of monsters.

"Yes,I am having the time of my life. After all a beautiful girl like is my knight in shining armour after all."(too cheesy?)

Gojo said while keeping straight face.

Amanda hearing him, could not maintain her stoic face.

Her face turned flustered hearing the statement from Gojo.

While, normally Amanda would not be affected by statement like this but, this was certainly an unexpected place to hear a statement like that.

Gojo, seeing the flustered expression on the face of Amanda, spoke with a proud look.

"And that's how you break a stoic face."

-Pfffft

Seeing the proud look of Gojo, Amanda could not help but chuckle at his antics.

"Hey, what are you laughing at?"

Amanda without answering him, started to walk toward the exit of the dungeon.

While she was walking, she still had that smile on her face.

After a while, when she noticed that Gojo was not walking with her, she couldn't help but let a little disappointment show on her face, before shaking it off.(Gojo is collecting his points.)

Amanda was not sure but he did not seem like a bad person to talk with.

He seems to be a lively and care free person, completely opposite of her.

"Heheheh, did you miss me?"

Suddenly a voice spoke near her, breaking her out of her thoughts.

-kyaa

Since she was startled by the voice, she couldn't help but let out a squeak.

-pfffft

Gojo nearly laughed at the squeak, that Amanda released.

Hearing Gojo's Chukle, Amanda inturn glared hole into Gojo, which finally made Gojo laugh loudly.

Seeing Gojo laugh at her, Amanda gave a jab at his chin.

"Auu, Hey that was uncalled for!!."

Gojo shouted at Amanda.

"Even though that did not hurt at all but still business must go on."

Thought Gojo as he poked Amanda for answer.

"Whatever you are talking about."

Amanda spoke with a innocent expression.

Seeing the expression on the face of Amanda and hearing her words, Gojo knew that he had lost the battle.

Gojo felt like this was the karma for bullying Ren.

"No,no,no that is not ture."

Gojo thought in denail, as he can accept his lost against Amanda but, against that lose- i mean ren? That is something he can not accept.

"Yes, i will continue bullying him even if it means i have to loose banter against Amanda."

Gojo thought with a determined expression.

-pfffft!

Amanda seeing Gojo's lifeless expression turning into a determined expression let out a small laugh which thankfully for her, Gojo did not hear.

"He is really a fun to talk with."

Amanda thought with a beautiful smile on her face which made Gojo's heart skip a beat but, was obviously ignored by his rational thoughts.

He just thought it happened because Amanda is naturally a beautiful girl and he is in his puberty.

That is why, he did not think much about it.

(A/N: It might happen to you guys too. When you see a attractive girl or boy, you might get attracted to them but no need to think of them as love of your life.)

Both Gojo and Amanda continued moving forward while running at high speed causally.

"There are about 50 Goblins ahead. Do you want to deal with them?"

Gojo suddenly spoke randomly.

Amanda brows frowned as she heard Gojo speak.

"Are you sure?"

Amanda asked for confirmation as she couldn't not see far in the darkness.

"Are you doubting me?"

Gojo said in a hurt tone.

-sigh

Amanda shook her head while sighing.

Without replying, Amanda brought out her bow.

Taking an arrow from her quiver and getting into her stance, Amanda got ready for sniping the Goblins.

On the other hand, Gojo nonchalantly stood with his hands behind his head.

-swoosh

Amanda launched her arrow, as soon as she could see Goblins.

-skreech

Arrow managed to drill itself into the incoming Goblin but, it was able to move so, arrow did not kill it.

Whilst the arrow was moving, Amanda brought another arrow and launched it.

She continued sending arrows toward the incomming horde of Goblins.

Some of the arrows managed to kill Goblins but, since cave had severely effected the vision of Amanda, she couldn't properly aim it.

Looking at the incoming horde of Goblins, Amanda could only clench her fist in frustration of not being able to deal with them.

"Is that all she can do? I was expecting display of ability far better than that.

I guess, i expected too much from her huh.

Maybe she won't be much helpful in future at all.

No, it's too early to give up on her.

We still have some time. Making her an competent ally is still possible.

But, for that i will need her to get some more in-depth guidance.

She is severely lacking in desire to grow.

I guess she hasn't experienced any helpless situation.

Or it might be just that her desire to grow is lacking. I guess giving her opportunity to train with Donna is a good way to start.

The main question is, how is she gonna get desire to get stronger. She lacks cause and i can not give her a cause to fight for.

What a mess. I need to do whatever i can to make all of my allies competent. I have failed so many time.

I am not sure how exactly is this time restart working. It might be that, it has nothing to do with me but related to only Kevin, Ren and Jezebeth.

Really, such a mess.

Hmm~.

This might make her or break her.

I just need to show her how weak and incompetent she is.

This might backfire really bad. But, what is there to loose expect the trust of the heir of the biggest guild in human kingdom."

Gojo thought from the side as he looked at Amanda's figure.

He did noticed that she had some fighting spirit but still that was not enough.

Gojo, took of his glasses, as he continued to look at the horde of Goblins.

"Is that all you can do."

Gojo spoke in a mocking tone.

"W-what?"

Amanda shuttered as she heard his words.

(A/N: Don't go around commenting "Gojo does not manipulate others.". I don't give a fuck but i am finding it annoying that everyone is so weak expect for Ren, Kevin and maybe Jin. It is mostly Amanda that has become a weak point in the story. Some might say Emma is but she is developing into something with her own desire to not remain weak point. But Amanda's reason for getting stronger is to be useful to Ren. I want to change that ideology of her from the beginning. Conclusion this is important for Amanda. I don't want to give her some ass pull of power. If in orginal novel Amanda has gotten stronger or her ideals has grown than know that this chapter is being written weeks before the upload.)
