Chapter 4

3rd Person POV

-Khuala! -Khuaka! -Khuaka!

Like a tsunami, green-like creatures of shorter-than-human stature with flat and long hooked noses, bat-like ears, and malevolent expressions with twisted smiles appeared from every corner of the cave. They were Goblins and they were thousand in numbers.

Jin who was on the forefront, continued running without decreasing his speed.

When He was about to come face to face with Goblins, Jin suddenly vanished into his shadow and appeared behind the Goblins with dagger in his hand.

Jin without a second of delay swung his dagger at Goblins but, the dagger instead of coming in contact with flesh, it phased through the Goblin who next second got destroyed into a million pieces.

This confirmed Jin's speculation that this is a work of Goblin mage but, it was gonna take some time before he could locate a Goblin mage.

While Jin was trying to locate the Goblin mage, Gojo who had just arrived infront of horde of Goblins, just looked at it with an amused smile.

Six eyes provides user protection against illusion so, it didn't even take a second to locate the Goblin mages.

"Oh, there are two of them."

He thought with suprise.

Gojo glanced at Jin, who was moving toward one of the Goblin mage.

"I will get the second one."

Gojo thought as he teleported infront of the Goblin mage before destroying it's face with a punch straight to it's face.

Suddenly a arrow came toward the position where Goblin mage was previously standing in, on the way to Goblin mage previous position was Gojo.

But, without a care in the world Gojo just stood there, as the arrow just slowed down so much so that it looked like it stopped completely, after comming in contact with infinity.

"W-what?"

Amanda was shocked with, what she just witnessed.

She couldn't believe that her arrow just stopped moving after getting close to Gojo.

Not only that, Gojo suddenly appeared infront of Goblin mage.

She did not see a single moment made by him.

Gojo just glanced at her, but what Amanda felt was as if all her secret were laid bare.(I was gonna write that, she felt naked infront of that glance, but i feel some guys will take it out of context.)

Not minding the alteration with Amanda, Gojo turned to look at Jin who was also looking at him.

After few seconds of staring at each other, Jin with stoic face continue moving forward.

"Oh, it seems like, Jin has changed drastically. Whether it is positive or not is left to be seen."

Gojo thought, as he could not guess whether this drastic change in Jin was good or not.

(A)N: Right now Jin is obsessed with ren, only after whole academic contestant fiasco does Jin change for good still he had inner turmoil but, when we see him in issanor, he has changed drastically from the last time we saw. This is where he actually becomes a person with no inner turmoil.)

But it did not matter to him for now.

So, without wasting anymore time he started moving forward.

As Gojo was running, he saw some Goblins moving toward him.

Without slowing down his movement and after making a hand sign within a second or two, Gojo was infront of the Goblins.

Before Goblins could react, Gojo sent a round kick to the skull of one of the Goblins, who was sent flying toward other Goblins.

Gojo made a hand sign and muttered out loud.

[Blue]

-swoosh

As soon as the skill was activated, all the Goblins head started to distort before being completely destroyed.

"Maybe i should try that."

Gojo thought, as without a care in the world for Goblins, Gojo continued moving forward after checking out the body of Goblins through the device planted in his chest which ensured the number that was previously<1> change into <5>.

"This is how they are gonna keep track of our kill record huh."

Gojo thought, as he looked back at the place where Goblins corpse were previously present.

Due to this system, he couldn't just blast through everything thing and this is where 'that' comes into the plan.

Gojo took out a sword from his bracelet with its sheath as, he saw some Goblins ahead of him.

Without wasting a second, Gojo started to move mana internally in a particular way.

After 2 second, Gojo took sword out of it's sheath as, a familiar click sound resounded.

-Clack!

-Click!

With a bright light, lightning up the dark cave for a second, Gojo could be seen infront of three heads of Goblins before tapping it on his chest.

"It took two second to work. That will be a problem in situation where opponent is as strong as me stat wise but it can be used as a way to catch my opponent off gaurd."

Gojo thought, as he continued with the massacre of Goblins.

Like that, for the next thirty minutes, Gojo hunted down goblins or the other monsters that tried to ambush him as he moved forward.

'This is a good pace'

As he jogged, the right side of his arm had a large [98] engraved on it.

"I should probably thank Ren after this."

Gojo thought for a second before shaking his head.

"But meh, he is just a sore loser."

"I should probably increase my own speed of running."

Gojo thought as he sensed Jin getting out of his range of sense which had now increased to nearly 2 kilometres passively.

When it is used actively,.....let's not talk about it, lest you want special sensors to feel bad.

"There is a horde of Goblins within a kilometre. Maybe i should kill all of them. It should ensure my top 10 spots."

...

"This is good."

Amanda thought as she continued sniping various monster and goblins.

She looked at right side of her right arm which had <55> engraved on it.

While usually she would be satisfied with the number, but because she had seen Gojo without any effort kill the monsters, which led her competative sprit to burn.

But when she reached a place where more than 50 monster corpse were lying around Gojo. She couldn't help but think.

"He is the real monster here!!."

While she was dumbfounded for a second she quickly clamed down.

Amanda was gonna continue moving toward the exit of the cave but she saw a Goblin who was behind Gojo, jump at him.

"Watch out!!"

She couldn't help but shout.

Before the Goblin could land his attack on Gojo, who by the way knew about the Goblin before it even move toward him, Amanda launched an arrow toward the Goblin which manged to strike the Goblin directly on its head.

Goblin fall down dead.

When Amanda looked toward the direction where Gojo was previously standing, she did not see him anywhere.

"Ahh~, my knight in shining armour, you saved me."

Suddenly Amanda heard a joking voice behind her.

As soon as she turned around, she came face to face with Gojo who was standing very close to her.

"H-how? You were standing there a second before."

Amanda spoke up, as she looked at Gojo.

"Meh, don't mind the small details."
