34 Night Ends 3/3: Rising Sun And The Sign Of The New King

Tark  saw Zion get thrown like a rock so easily, as he heard the outburst of the variant orc leader telling them to forget leaving the battleground alive as they will be killed without mercy.

His heart tightened not because he was afraid of dying, but  because he was afraid that his regular soldiers would die with him without even fighting back since they lacked the strength of knights.

Boom...

Tark  regained consciousness when he heard the explosion and saw another knight die. He became enraged and dashed towards the variant orc leader, forgetting that he lacked the strength to even contend with the orc leader, let alone take a single hit, because the star level difference was too great to jump.

"Hmmnn, Puny Human, you can't threaten me with your mediocre level. Just accept your faith to die, Fireball," the orc leader said, unleashing multiple fireballs once more as he rained down on the surrounding area, not batting an eye at the soldier dying while some knights were severely injured.

Boom...

"Damn, you bastard orc!"  Tark  charges towards the variant orc leader, receiving a volley of fireballs on the way.

"Captain!!!"  Zaban  saw his captain grit his teeth, knowing that his strength was far too weak to fight the variant orc, let alone take a single hit. One fireball was already so powerful for him that he didn't dare to receive it like his captain did, knowing that not dying until now was already a miracle for him. He would have died an hour ago if one of his fellow knights hadn't tried to sneakily attack the orc leader.

"Everyone, don't pause. We must continue to support the captain as long as we can; we cannot allow the variant orc to take another step toward the city where our family lives.

No?

Even if I die here, I will die as an honorable knight who does not fear death." Everyone was awakened by  Zaban's loud voice as they remembered their family in the city who had placed their trust in them to protect them.

"Never waver"

"We are soldiers who defend the helpless."

"We are knights who will triumph over all evil."

"Damn monster, even if I die, I will never let you go near the city."

"I will be a father to my pregnant wife, and I cannot let such a monster harm my unborn child and fragile wife."

"We will fight until the end."

"We fight, fight, fight!"

When the soldiers heard  Zaban's word, their minds raced with thoughts of why they became soldiers and knights, about their families, and about their childhoods...

Every soldier's and knight's mind began to buzz with a variety of memories as they cried, stood up, and drew their swords and bows to endure the pain they were feeling.

"We fight," the remaining knights cried, rushing in different directions like ants attempting to swarm their enemy in numbers.

The soldiers launched an arrow barrage in support of the knights, while the other soldiers, who don't carry bows, decided to be cannon fodder to distract or even injure the orc leader, as their hearts and minds are determined to die to protect their loved ones no matter what.

With red eyes,  Zaban  charged at the orc leader, determined to die to support his captain and protect his family in the city.

"Fighttttt..."

Boom....

Tark, who was already close to the variant orc leader, turned red in anger and sorrow when he heard  Zaban's speech and the vows of his knights and soldiers to die and protect, because he knew this was the only way for them to fulfill their mission of protecting the city from monsters, even if it meant all of them dying in this place.

His only regret was that he let his soldiers and knights die without even allowing them to write a letter of goodbye to their families, because he couldn't bear the thought of visiting their families and explaining how their fathers, sons, and husbands died honorably, destroying the foundation and strength of their family in this chaotic world. The second regret was the lady of House  Atkin; when he promised the young lady that he would teach him how to ride a horse, he gritted his teeth and all of a sudden became gentle.

"My lady, if I survive this battle, I promise to teach you horseback riding.

But if I die, I hope you can forgive me for accompanying my men to the afterlife  charge."

Tark  yelled as he dashed toward the variant orc, his body covered in destroyed armor and crisp burn marks visible to the naked eye.

Booomm... argh... Bam...

The soldiers were hit by the fireball, and the knights who tried to tank the fireball either died or were severely injured, preventing them from advancing further as they kneeled with the smell of burns and unbalanced breathing, as if they would die at any moment.

"Haah!"  Zaban  shouted as he shielded one of the soldiers with his body.

Boom.

Because of the sea of fire, the surrounding area has become chaotic.

"Human, you are courting death," the orc slapped  Tark, who stabbed him angrily from his legs.

Tark  was exhausted from the barrage of fireballs and endured all of his injuries as his mind's only thought was to kill the orc leader, and yet all he could do was a single stab to the orc leader's legs with all his might.

He closed his eyes as he was slapped so hard that he thought his right arm was dislocated or even broken as he vomited blood and was thrown like Zion before, but he was saved from the impact as someone caught him.

"Captain, you can now relax.

I'll take care of the rest." Zion's eyes turned bright red in thirty minutes. The orc leader had already created a sea of fire and mountains of death.

Bodies were either ripped, trampled, or burned.

Tark  heard the voice as he smiled and closed his eyes, feeling he didn't have the strength to fight anymore, even if he wanted to, as he drifted to sleep.

Zion placed Captain  Tark  on the  Zaban  side, who, like the captain, had burn marks on his body but was still alive and catching his breath.

When  Zaban  saw Zion again, this time with Captain  Tark  in his hands, he tried to stand up but was stopped by Zion, who had placed  Tark  beside him.

"Rest now. I promise to stop the bastard from causing any more casualties, even if I die," Zion said as he dashed toward the orc leader with all his strength. Even though he wasn't healed and was only relieved by the pain, it was enough because his friend had promised to help him in this fight, even if it meant suffering a severe injury in the process. He wouldn't hesitate any longer.

[Host, are you sure you want to do this? You'll be randomly teleported after this, just like before, but unlike before, your transfer might be too dangerous.

Are you certain you want to borrow the throne's power, even if it means sacrificing five years of your life?]

"Gaia, I've already made up my mind; I can't let the jackass have his way.

It's better to get rid of that orc right now."

Bam...

Because the Variant Orc Leader sensed the person who ruined his plans approaching him, he decided to barrage Zion with multiple fireballs.

Roooar. "Hmn, you're still alive."

Booom...

Multiple fireballs erupted as the already demolished battleground was further demolished by multiple explosions and burns, leaving the trees and dead bodies charred beyond recognition.

Zion saw this and dodged in various directions to avoid serious injuries because he was already injured to the core; if Gaia hadn't relieved his pains, he wouldn't be able to stand now.

"Shitty variant orc, enough of this, Gaia activate it," Zion decided to use the throne's power after realizing he couldn't get any closer to the variant orc leader.

[Ding, triggering the three-second throne awakening]

Zmmnn...

Zion's strength literally exploded as the fireballs and sea of fire were extinguished in an instant by a strong gale that exceeded the variant orc's strength. Zion's body emitted multiple lights, and his eyes displayed lights and an indifference to life and death.

He felt peace, faith, and the will of God, as if Zion were the God-king who outshines all other kings...

After his attack got extinguished by the wind like a candlelight being blown smoothly, the variant orc's hair stood up as he felt danger and fear. He wants to kneel to Zion, but he is afraid of upsetting him, and he doesn't even want to breathe in front of Zion.

Rooaar... The variant orc leader roared, his instincts telling him not to fight Zion any longer.

Zion, on the other hand, was unconcerned because he felt nothing but calm and the freshness of the cycle between life and death. He had no fear and only passed his judgment as king to the variant orc leader.

Zion pointed its finger at the variant orc leader, and the variant orc's life vanished in an instant, as it died unknowingly, without even roaring or struggling for his life.

After killing the orc, Zion was swallowed by space as he lost consciousness after borrowing the throne's strength.

...

Roooaaar.....

"My queen, why is the great spirit throne rising to the sky?" The unknown kingdom's head, Eunuch, asked its queen, who was also staring at the castle's ceiling, and the quickly fading night sky, like such ceilings, can never block its eyes from seeing through the sky.

"A new king is about to be born," the queen caressed his throne, who turned to Phoenix as it strode calmly toward his chosen king.

.....

Rooaaar.....

"My liege," before the handsome knight could ask, the king to stop him.

"Hmmn, can he defend his claim to the throne, or will the other kings devour his claim?" He murmured, and he was also excited about the future when a white tiger head appeared and stared at him.

...

Vrmmm…

"Will he be another human or not?" wondered someone standing on a roof, looking at the bright star shining as its aura signaled the arrival of a new king in an unknown location.

.....

A 48-year-old golden-haired and bearded man stood in his garden with some of his concubines in his hands, having fun with them, when he felt his golden throne give him a prideful roar, warning him. He looked at the fading night, welcoming the day, when he caught a glimpse of the bright star in the sky.

"Hmmn, can such a weak king be called king?" The 48-year-old king didn't care because he knew the rising king would be devoured by another kingdom.

....

Roooaaarr....

"In this age, there are still people who are accepted to be a new king,

will he be a friend or a foe?" The silver-haired handsome man in his 40s smiled as his face was bathed by the rising sun while he floated in the sky staring at the visible star, then suddenly an illusion of a dragon the size of a building appeared and stared at the visible star before disappearing.

....

The sun shines brightly with the new day, just as the bright star faded a minute ago as the world was once again swarmed by the day.

Unbeknownst to Zion, multiple kingdoms ranging in size from small to large have sensed his throne presence, making him the top priority target of the kingdoms to be devoured.
