25 Galand the humble

"Reya, the witch of the fallen and forgotten, and the third ruler of Everblight loved battles, not for the blood-pumping action and the primal force they bred, but rather for that they brought more to her. And with this proclivity, a vision grew: a coliseum was erected in her name, to serve both the people and her."- An excerpt from the history of Everblight

"Now who's ready for the next match!" The host cried and true to the themselves, the people of the arena yelled in affirmation with of all of their lungs and their hands thrusted up in the air.

Next was a match between a level 40 fire bender and a lever 47 metal bender. They sent their flashy moves flying for minutes trying to strike each with the best of their attacks, however, after some minutes, the metal bender won, they were significantly faster and their attacks were more adaptive.

Fights like that went on and on entertaining the massive happy crowd, Lexar almost couldn't believe that he enjoyed the matches, the gore had no effect on him and he could only feel pumped about it.

"Now it's the moment you've all been hoping for. Let's be serious here, you folks bought the tickets hoping the see him fight. The indomitable, the selfless, the merciful, Galand the humble!" The host announced.

And as soon as he did, the crowd yelled even louder getting up in their feet. Lexar looked at Oki and despite feeling that Oki didn't frequent the place, he could see some excitement in the little dwarf's eyes.

The host moved out of the spot to allow way to the coliseum's champion.

The one that approached was massive of a man, about 7 feet tall and as wide as two men, he was fully clad in sunstouch armour, an armour of great durability that only members of a special task force don. He had on a massive shield, a large sheathed blade on his right flank, and a mace on his left.

As he slowly made himself visible to the crowd, the crowd cried his name testament to their love for him.

"Galand! Galand! Galand! Galand! Galand!" They cried.

He got to the center and stood unmoving at the spot. On his head was a great helm, a large helmet that covered his entire head and had a flat top with narrow slits for sight on it, however, the most notable thing about him wasn't his size or the weapons he bore but rather the iron thorny crown over his head and colored with blood.

Lexar saw it and thought it was sketchy, he saw the figure and realized that they were human.

On Galand's neck around the helm rested a chain mail to protect his neck and he had on a dirty old tabard, a sleeveless garment worn over the armour to show a place of allegiance. His was yellow and had a simple painting of the Elfintree with the glorious sun of Avalyn shining brightly upon it.

He unsheathed his massive sword and thrusted it upwards feeding the crowd with even more excitement.

On an elevated spot away from the seats of the commoners sat a large fat human in the most exquisite robe, he smirked as he saw his most valuable asset make his appearance once again, he was going to rake in more money for him and have him elevated even further amongst the elites.

Lexar on the other hand tried to identify the knight.

[Paladin- lvl ???]

His system brought up.

'Oh a paladin, he looks it.' thought Lexar.

The host walked to the side of the crowned knight and continued.

"His opponents, prisoners given a chance to redeem themselves. Should they win, their offences will be nullified and they shall receive honor but should they lose… you know how that goes."

Upon his announcement, multiple creatures walked in. Six were sizeable blue trolls, a human was present amongst them and two vampires. Their skins were bare except for the brown cloth of wool around their groin area.

The guards brought forward various weapons and threw them to the ground, five of the trolls took up a large club while the remaining bothered not to equip themselves indicating that they were mages of some sort.

Lexar tried identifying them but like the paladin, they were well above his level and only their classes could he see.

[Warrior - lvl ???]

[Warrior - lvl ???]

[Warrior - lvl ???]

[Warrior - lvl ???]

[Warrior - lvl ???]

[Necromancer - lvl ???]

[Darkflame Mage - lvl ???]

[Murk Mage - lvl ???]

[Earth Mage - lvl???]

The troll warriors carefully approached him and then encircled him while the mages kept their distance ready to strike.

Galand remained unmoving, he just remained staring into the spectators in front of him.

One of the trolls swiftly came forward, it swung to his side the massive club hoping to turn him into a paste.

Galand in response, swiftly brought up his shield and stopped the blow, the other trolls followed suit taking the opportunity.

They all swung down their clubs.

Galand leaped upward avoiding the chain of blows, the mages saw their opportunity and rained attacks on him in the air.

He shoved forward his massive shield and blocked the attacks. He crashed on one of the trolls and bashed its skull with his shield sending it to its death.

One troll swung up his club to hit him, and Galand returned the favor by swiftly swinging his blade through its torso and cleaving the troll into two.

The remaining trolls were scared by his large display of strength, he was considerably higher leveled than they were but they hoped to overcome him with numbers.

A Vampire, the darkflame mage ran forward and threw a black flame at him. Galand thrusted forward his shield blocking the attack, he zoomed at the mage moving past the trolls and appearing in front of him.

With great force, he swung down his blade at the mage. A wall of bones suddenly materialized in between them giving the mage a chance to move back.

A swing from his sword broke the tall wall of bones to nothing.

The necromancer stretched forward his hands, a purple aura grew on them. The plastered floor they stood over began to crack, it cracked until a sizable opening was made and from that opening came a skeleton of gargantuan size, a skeleton of a giant.
