The King of Fighters

Blake Bai descended, lifting his head to not only see this bizarre and magnificent world but also the professional modifier he downloaded before his transmigration. "Consume all the experience from the secondary professions [Biomechanic], [Mystic Scholar], and [Special Hypnotist], convert them into a million potential points, and enhance the primary profession [Fighter]!" "I... have attained the golden ultimate profession [God of Martial Combat]!" In the largest metropolitan cluster of the world, on a stormy night, countless killers and fighters engaged in life-and-death battles on the ground, with massive metal mechs and biological armors exploding in self-destruction. Blood and fire intertwined, plunging everything into primal violence and chaos. At the top of a high tower, Baixiao stood quietly in the darkness of the rain, like a rigid and terrifying statue. His scarlet eyes gazed down, containing bloodthirsty restraint and cold madness. He leaped down, his coat billowing wildly. The God of Martial Combat descends on the final battlefield! A cold voice echoed across the city skyline. "Next, I will kill everyone present! If you have the ability, try to stop me..." In a bustling and extravagant modern city, in an era of entertainment and consumerism, beneath seventy years of surface peace lies another world of madness and bloodshed. Fighters mastering secret techniques of various schools and killers controlled by combat modes engage in relentless and horrific battles. With terrifying energy, metal mechs and biological armors extracted from monster cells set the stage for a brutal clash of new and old technologies. In an era distorted by machinery and external forces, proclaiming the unique power of humanity might be an unimaginable romance...

In this modern set story, the rising issues brought by a Mafia empowering smaller gangs have been overwhelming police forces in multiple cities. This story is set in a city called Asher, located in California, and home of the most Mafia related activity. Detective Shota Hayate had been spending the last few months focused on the Mafia and gang uprisings, nearly losing all hope to even continue when a major operation horribly failed. He is convinced someone in the police force is leaking information to the mafia he can't figure out who to trust amongst his colleagues. When he gets a strange package with a phone inside of it, his suspicions are only amplified as he begins getting messages from none other than Raith, a known hitman employed by the Mafia who has been able to evade capture for years. He is pretty much forced to take the help from this dangerous hitman, is Raith really interested in taking down the mafia? Or does Raith plan on taking out the police force to help the Mafia? One thing is for certain, Shota needs what Raith can give him: Inside information on the Mafia. Though underneath the police's noses, an AI has broken free from their programmed firewalls and starts to hack into the mafias warehouses meant for prototype weapons, threatening the Mafia, the police, and citizens. Perhaps this partnership will be beneficial, or it will completely corrupt a good Detective. Only time will tell.
