11 Chapter Eleven : Escort Mission

The next day morning Joe went to Alchemist Kent's house, they were already prepared so all Joe had to do was to put the bags into the carriage they were traveling.

He carried the trunk outside and loaded it onto a horse carriage that was waiting for them. He then helped Kent, Lila, and Rose get on the carriage as well.

"Are you sure you don't want me to drive?" Kent asked.

Joe shook his head. "No, I'll drive. You stay with your family."

Kent nodded gratefully and hugged his wife and daughter.

Joe climbed onto the driver's seat and took the reins of the horses. He looked at the sky and saw that it was clear and sunny.

"It's a good day to travel," he said.

He whipped the reins and the horses started moving. The carriage rolled out of Coastfield City and onto the road that led to Karry City.

Joe was driving the carriage along the road, enjoying the scenery and the breeze. He had spent the night at a small inn with the Kent family, and they had resumed their journey early in the morning. They were making good progress, and Joe estimated that they would reach Karry City by noon.

He glanced back at the carriage and saw that Kent, Lila, and Rose were asleep. They looked peaceful and relaxed, unlike the previous day when they were tense and anxious. Joe was glad that they had a smooth travel so far, and he hoped that it would continue.

He turned his attention back to the road and saw a group of men on horses blocking their way. They wore masks and ragged clothes, and they carried swords and axes. They looked like bandits, and Joe became alert and looked around.

He stopped the carriage and got off. He drew his sword and faced the bandits.

"Who are you? What do you want?" he shouted.

The bandits laughed and one of them spoke.

"We are the Red Scorpions, the most feared bandits in this region. We want your money, your goods, and your women. Hand them over, or we'll kill you."

Joe tightened his grip on his sword.

"I won't let you touch them. If you want to fight, bring it on."

The bandits laughed again and charged at him.

Joe was not afraid. He had a secret weapon that gave him an edge over any opponent. with his devil fruit, he could finish off this group in less than 5 minutes.

"Mr. Kent please remain inside the carriage and don't step out, I will take care of this scum". Joe said to Kent.

Kent nodded and retreated to the carriage.

He activated his power and dashed towards the bandits. He moved so fast that they could not see him. He slashed at them with his sword, cutting them down one by one. He used his light beams to blast them away, sending them flying in different directions. He turned into light to dodge their attacks, passing through them without harm.

The bandits were shocked and terrified. They had never seen such a power before. They realized that they had picked the wrong target, and they tried to flee.

But Joe was not going to let them escape. He wanted to teach them a lesson and make sure that his secret won't reach the wrong person or any organization.

He chased after them, catching up with them easily. He grabbed them by their collars and threw them back to the road. He gathered them in one spot. They were too scared to make a move.

Joe took his sword out and killed every single one of them and stored their dead bodies into his storage ring. Joe planned to cash in their bounty in the city.

Joe drove the carriage along the road, feeling proud and satisfied. He had killed the bandits who had attacked them, and he had also killed a problem for the world. If had let them leave they would still continue as a bandit. They don't deserve a second chance scum will always be scum.

He looked back at the carriage and saw that the Kent family was awake. They looked terrified and shocked. They had witnessed Joe's ruthlessness, and they had seen him slaughter the bandits without mercy.

"Don't worry there won't be any attack from here, and if there is I will be here to protect you guys".

He continued "I know you think of me as a monster now but believe me, they are better off dead, they are just a sad excuse for a human, no there are monsters in human forms".

Joe drove the carriage into Karry City, feeling relieved and hopeful. He had made it through the road, despite the bandits He had protected the Kent family.

He looked around and saw that Karry City was a beautiful and bustling place. It had tall buildings and wide streets, filled with people and shops. It had gardens and fountains, decorated with flowers and statues. It had a lively and cheerful atmosphere, unlike any other city he had seen.

He looked back at the carriage and saw that the Kent family was awake and excited. They looked happy and grateful. They had survived the journey, thanks to Joe's help. They had arrived at Karry city, where they hoped to find the healer.

Joe wondered if they would find him. He wondered if he would be able to cure Rose. He wondered if he would be able to save her.

He hoped that he would. He hoped that they would find him. He hoped that they would save her.

After that Joe wished the family the best of luck and left for Coastfield city.

"and by completing this mission I am eligible for the promotion test. Good times" Joe said out loud.
