8 Chapter Eight : Pika Pika No Mi and The Hunter’s Guild

Night time in the training ground, while the rustling leaves. Joe stood in the center of the field. He had just consumed the Pika Pika no Mi, a powerful Devil Fruit from the world of One Piece. This fruit granted him the power of light, allowing him to move at the speed of light and even become light itself.

Joe took a deep breath, feeling the energy coursing through his veins. He could feel the power of the logia devil fruit pulsating within him, waiting to be unleashed. With a determined look on his face, he raised his hand towards a nearby tree.

"Let's see what this can do," he muttered to himself.

With a swift motion, he pointed his palm toward the tree and focused on channeling his newfound power. A bright and powerful beam of light shot out from his hand, striking the tree and leaving a scorched mark where it hit.

"Wow, I can change the input and do more damage good to know" Joe exclaimed, looking at his hand in awe. "This is really incredible"

He spent the next few hours experimenting with his powers, creating beams of light, and even managing to transform himself into light for brief moments. It was exhilarating and terrifying all at once. The sheer power he now possessed was beyond anything he had ever imagined.

But the elementalisation made him a little weak.

'Hmm, It looks like I have to train more a get used to this feeling'.

As Joe continued to train, he realized that he needed to learn to control this power properly. He didn't want to reveal his elementalisation to anyone unintentionally.

So, under the moonlit sky, Joe trained tirelessly. He practiced controlling the intensity of his light beams, moving at light speed without losing control, and transforming into light without exhausting himself.

By the time dawn broke, Joe was exhausted but satisfied. He had made significant progress in controlling his powers. But he knew that this was just the beginning. He had a long way to go before he could fully master the Pika Pika no Mi.

As he walked back home under the rising sun, Joe couldn't help but smile. He was one step closer to achieving the strength he wanted. And with the power of the Pika Pika no Mi at his disposal, he felt ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

This was just the start of Joe's journey with the Pika Pika no Mi. A journey filled with excitement, danger, and endless possibilities.

'Damn with this I could do more missions, even better I should apply for a rank promotion in the guild, I will just have to beat a B ranker'.

The moment Joe got the devil fruit his plans for the future had changed and he needed to modify it.

After reaching his room he thought to himself 'Hmm I should first go to the forest and hunt some monster with that I could apply for the promotion'.

As the guild rule states if someone wants to be promoted to another rank he or she should complete a required number of quests first. It is after that they are eligible to take the promotion test. 

The promotion test basically is to fight a B rank hunter in the case of Joe for at least 5 minutes and or win the duel. There is no other requirement.

Just like that drifted into sleep.

The morning sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon as Joe made his way to the Hunter's Guild. The streets were still quiet, with only the occasional early riser out and about. Joe's mind was filled with thoughts of the missions he needed to complete. He needed to secure enough missions to qualify for the promotion mission.

As he pushed open the heavy wooden doors of the Guild, he was greeted by the familiar sight of the bustling interior. Hunters of all ranks were gathered around, discussing missions, sharing stories, and preparing for their day.

Joe made his way to the mission board, a large wooden panel filled with numerous mission scrolls. Each scroll represented a mission with its difficulty level and reward clearly marked.

He scanned through the missions, looking for ones that he could complete. He needed missions that were challenging enough to prove his worth but not so difficult that he couldn't complete them.

After some time, he had selected a handful of missions. They ranged from monster hunting to escorting merchants through dangerous territories. It was a good mix that would test his combat skills and strategic thinking.

With the missions secured, Joe headed over to the reception to register them. The Guild receptionist, a beautiful woman in he thirties. Joe had talked to her on some occasions and knew him.

"Looks like someone is going for the promotion test," Lily said.

"Yeah I have been thinking about taking the exam and it's time now" Joe replied.

"Ok I have checked and verified this you can proceed now" Lily replied with a smile.

Joe thanked her and left the guild building.

He went straight to the teleportation stations to start his monster hunting session.

Have you guys read the novel 'The Legendary Mechanic'. I really liked this one it's Chinese but there are no arrogant young masters and the story is really good.

I won't recommend you read the manga version it's just garbage. They messed up the plot and they rushed many events without giving the required details. The artwork is bad too. It's my opinion you guys can try it and reply to me.
