1 Summoned to Another World

Have you ever read stories about heroes that were summoned to another world? Yeah, me too. I think that's happening to me right now.

I know that I'm slightly delusional, but I know how to separate delusions and reality. At first, I thought that I was dreaming, but unfortunately, it was real. The pain that I felt when I pinched my cheek was real.

I mean, come on! I was in the middle of a game! Couldn't these guys be a bit more considerate when picking the time to summon us?

Yes, I mean 'us.' I was summoned along three other high-schoolers. In the midst of our confusion, the greedy pig— oops, I meant the well-fed king, snorted.

"O brave heroes, we have summoned you to defeat the Demon King. The Demon King is terrorizing the world."

We looked at the King with dead eyes. The person, no, pig in front of us seemed to be doing perfectly fine.

The guy with glasses was the first to compose himself. He pushed his glasses and said, "How will we defeat the Demon King? How will you support us in our conquest and what will we get out of this? You know, we were people with normal lives, but can we even get back to our world?"

The girl with short brown hair and animal-like eyes agreed with him. "Y-yeah! I still need to feed my cat!"

I gaped at her. We were summoned and all she can think about is feeding her CAT?!

The fat pig started sweating. "Um, um..."

His advisor whispered to him. "O-oh, that's right! We will provide equipment and money for your expenses! Unfortunately, you can't be brought back."

The girl with straight black hair that had been silent the whole time burst out into tears. "Waaa... hic... hic... I want... hic... to see... hic...my mom!"

All of us tried to comfort the girl and everybody in the room glared at the fat pig king.

"U-um, c-calm down, everybody."

We stopped listening to him and left the room as well as the castle. Nobody tried to stop us. After we left the walls of the castle, the girl finally calmed down and we decided to introduce ourselves.
