In A Web Novel As A Skilled Copier

The Webnovel I was reading was called "The Dance of Power". It wasn't a mega-hit, but it was popular enough for me to read. It had its problems and its flaws, but the universe was interesting and so were the characters. And of course, having something innovative helped its popularity. It was an interactive web novel. A novel where you could create a character sheet and the author would place his character in the novel's plot. I made my character sheet and sent it to the author, but unfortunately, my character was rejected for not being good enough. Now I'm in the world of this web novel, as my rejected character. ________ English is not my native language. I'm still learning, so there will probably be mistakes, you've been warned. The cover is not mine, if the author wants me to remove it, please comment on any chapter oh contact me.

School Life[2]

Triangle, Class 1A, Friday.

Sitting in my usual spot, I listened intently to the teacher's voice.

Mainly because it was about a topic that I had some doubts about, magical energy.

After the delivery of the spirit weapons, the challenges and the school ranking finally opened.

Lucas cemented his place as 7th in the rankings, second only to the S class students.

As for me? I didn't even try to fight, not out of fear, I'm just a little apprehension to use my ability.

I've come up with several excuses about how my ability works, but I don't want to have to keep explaining, and I'm sure that once I show it, people will be interested in me.

Looking around the classroom, I could see how irritating it is to be popular.

The students were constantly showering them with questions at Lucas, who smiled and answered everything.

The curious thing was that they weren't paying attention in class.

"That damn protagonist memory..."

Lucas could remember everything just by looking at it, he didn't need to study.

I have to admit, that being a protagonist has its perks, but it still feels bad.

"Alright, class is over."

As soon as the class ended and the teacher left the room, most of the students remained in the room.

However, most got up and surrounded Lucas with questions.

Some left the room, including me.

As soon as I left the room, I headed toward my dorm. I was going to it more often than usual.

'Damn, I asked this girl to come to my dorm and she didn't, what is she doing!?'

It's been 2 days since I saw Maya. I left her with a little space so I wouldn't make her dependent on me, but now I needed her.

Leaving the dorm floor, I went back to the main building and walked toward the only class on the E floor.

As soon as I found the door, I sighed.

'Maybe the reason she doesn't look for me is that the bullying hasn't stopped, something must have happened.'

With several thoughts, I walked through the door.

Looking around the classroom, I couldn't help but notice some rather interesting quirks.

First, one student was all bandaged up, it was as if he had gotten into a fight with about 50 people, and only his eyes and nose were bare.

"You must be the guy who bullied Maya."

He was most likely beaten up by Blaze.

As I ran my eyes around the room in search of Maya, instantly, some eyes were drawn to me.

Actively in the front row of seats, none of them seemed to have the courage to say anything.

As I ran my eyes from row to row, one gaze met mine.

Black eyes looked like they'd just seen a haunting, curled up sitting in his place while one of his hands fell to her belly, her black hair matching her identity even more.

Wearing the E-Class uniform, this is Victoria, the student I fought to save Maya.

Ignoring her, I kept looking for Maya, the more rows I scanned and didn't find her, the more my anxiety grew.

"What the hell..."

I muttered reluctantly.

Until the last row, I could see a group of girls laughing and playing around a table, in which the redhead was sitting laughing with her hand in front of her mouth.

I sighed as I started to walk toward him.

"And what's a Class A student's room like? What's the difference!?"

One of the girls sitting in the next chair smiled and asked ecstatically as she linked her arm with Maya.

"Yes Maya, you are the only one with this privilege, please tell me!"

The girls then got even more excited by Maya's question as she quietly repeated, "Do I answer or not?"

But before she could respond, I barged into the conversation.

"So you make new friends and forget about me?"

Crossing my arms, I sat in the chair across from Maya, which was one of the girls around her table.

As soon as my voice was heard, the girls quickly turned around, and just like before, I could feel the stares.

Surprised, Maya rose quickly from her chair.

"W-what are you doing here?"

Staring at her in silence for a few seconds, I got up from the girl's place, as they looked like they were going to disperse.

"You didn't come to my room yesterday, so I was worried."

Hearing my answer, Maya's cheeks flushed slightly as she opened and closed her mouth trying to speak but failing.

As if worried, she looked around to see her new friends hugging each other as they muttered something like:

'Cute...'

'They are a couple!'

Feeling a sense of urgency, Maya stood up quickly, taking my arm and pulling me out of the room.

"Hey, hey! What's going on!?"

I was confused for a moment until I heard one of the girls yell and wave:

"See you more couple!"

And that's when I understood what was happening.

Wait, was she ashamed of me by any chance? Shouldn't this be the other way around?

I narrowed my eyes suspiciously when I saw her stop and let go of my hand.

"Ah... do you... have any idea what you've done!?"

Crossing my arms, I heard her complain.

"I had to work hard to remove the rumors that I slept with you, now everyone will think it's true! You..."

Maya put her hand on her forehead and started pacing back and forth as she lost herself in her thoughts.

As soon as she noticed my silence and immobile posture, she finally looked into my eyes.

"Have you calmed down yet?"

I asked. Seeing her nod, I sighed as I uncrossed my arm and looked down the hall.

"No need to worry about the rumors, I've already taken care of that."

Running my hands through my hair, I watched her confused expression, ignoring her I took a step towards her.

"However I have to ask."

Maya instinctively took a step back.

"Are you by any chance ashamed of me?"

I brought my face closer to hers, looking into her eyes.

Her cheeks flushed fervently as she felt the ice from the wall against her back, Maya swallowed hard as she closed her eyes and turned her face away.

'Tsk...cute redhead'.

I thought, not moving towards her and coming back, letting the blushing redhead breathe again.

"How's your training going? Don't tell me you've relaxed."

Opening her eyes, she shook her head as she tried to compose herself.

"I haven't relaxed. My magic energy is now at 110."

Maya answered confidently as she puffed out her chest.

I frowned at the information.

"That doesn't make sense, your circulation speed is fast enough that in less than a day you've passed 110, what were you doing?"

Opening her eyes, her confidence faded as she took in my face.

Maya lifted her hand and as soon as she lifted it, it was covered in navy blue energy.

"What!?"

In shock, I stared at the energy around her hand in amazement.

"That's metaphysical energy! You...you evolved your core!?"

A smile creased her lips, and she nodded.

'Shit! This goes beyond the level of the main characters, this girl is talented with magical energy!'

Power core has limits. To increase this limit, one must use their magic control and fill their core, and then use it to evolve their core.

It should be known that the first core of this magic control is 600 magic energy, Maya managed to do it in 2 days.

She was a monster, a complete monster.

I swallowed hard when I thought of the 340 points of magic energy I had in my status. Even though I finished the circulation fast, it still seemed quite difficult for me.

One of the benefits of being able to unlock the second core evolution is the ability to use metaphysical energy.

When your magical energy manages to materialize outside your body, without using your ability.

One of the other benefits is the increase in your stat limit. Human peak can reach 30 points in its stats, with the spice of magic energy from the first core it increases to 50 and in the second it increases to 100.

But of course, this also varies from magic control, which is why they are so rare and expensive.

But also, few people knew about this increase in statistics. Not even the protagonist knows.

"Incredible..."

It was all I managed to say in the face of the magical energy in his hand.

I couldn't take the smile off my mouth, and Maya looked happy as she watched me stare at her hand.

After a while to compose myself, I watched the magical energy in her hand disappear as if it had never been there, entering her skin.

"Is that why you didn't come to my room?"

"Yeah, I felt like I was reaching the limit so I focused on that."

Shaking my head, I sighed again.

"Fine, but next time let me know. I was worried about you, I thought that because of my meddling someone had caught you and hurt you."

"I'm sorry."

She whispered under her breath as she scratched her left arm in embarrassment.

"It's been a long time since I've had someone close to me, so I forgot what this friendship thing is like, I also get distracted by training with my spiritual artifact."

(NT: As there was confusion about 'spiritual weapons', I switched to artifact when not specified.)

Her words surprised me for a few seconds. I was demanding something from a girl who was always alone and had no one her age next to her.

"Fine. Anyway, now that you've evolved your core, we can put my plan into action."

Maya looked at me with a confused expression.

"Plan?"

Smiling, I nodded.

"First, how many merit do you have?"

Still confused, Maya put her hand in her pocket and took out an ID card, looking at it for a few seconds she replied:

"I have 510 merits."

Hearing her answer, relief coursed through my body.

"I'm glad you didn't spend it. I have 1,600, adding up to 2,110 merits."

Looking at my ID card, I smiled.

"Do you need my merits?"

She asked.

"Actually, yes I do. But I guarantee it will benefit us both-"

"You can take them all if you want."

Maya cut me off before I could finish speaking.

"Huh? Are you sure about that?"

She nodded, taking the card in her hand and offering it to me.

"So... Since there's no problem, it's time to go."

I took her hand and started walking off the floor of the rooms.

"Wait! You didn't tell me where we're going!"

As she pulled away, Maya grumbled before looking around the room and sighed seeing her new friends at the door peeking in.

"Isn't it obvious? Let's go to the merit shop first." Smiling, I replied. "Then we'll leave the Triangle."
