The VR world

Sora sat in a chair while looking at huge crowds which were stilling, watching him and the many other people who would be taking part in the tournament. a total of 10,000 people sat in unique chairs within the center of the arena,

"Do you need anything before entering?" a young woman asked while looking at Sora, Sora shook his head slightly as everything was perfect. with a nod, the maid stepped aside to ask the person next to Sora, after everyone was set and good. the chairs suddenly moved on their own,

a thin layer of energy came from the chair, wrapping around Sora's body while pulling Sora's mind into another space. Sora closed his eyes as the world suddenly went completely white, upon opening his eyes, Sora saw he was standing in a grassland, and many others who were in the chair began swapping around him,

The human emperor suddenly appear in the sky above them, he looked at everyone for a moment before smiling and going on to give a small speech. after which, he stepped aside for others to give them the rules of the tournament,

in short, there were too many people here, with everyone's strength and capability, it was enough to make the VR world crash, so they were going to be split up into 4 parts, the first 2,500 people would be randomly chosen,

they would then be sent to a dungeon within the VR. for every monster they kill they shall get points, the powerlevel of the monster divide by 100 was how they would be measuring the points they gain, so a monster with a strength measurement of 1,000 would give you only 1 point.

because some people there had higher cultivation than others, they wanted to even things out. so everyone's cultivation was limited to level 10 of the 3rd stage of cultivation, which would make everyone here at the same level of cultivation,

a person would lose if they die. of course they could give up at any moment, but if they happen to die, they would be sent outside the VR work and their mind would suffer some injuries.

well, Sora was not amongst the few people chosen to go first, so he and the others who were not amongst the first group went on to appear within seats where they could watch the first group spawn within a dungeon filled with a seemly endless amount of monsters

An hourglass appeared in the sky, it would take one hour for the sand within that glass to hit the ground, and once it does so, this would be over. so they had 1 hour to hunt as many monsters as they could, of course, there were monsters spawning everything one killed, so they had nothing to worry about,

Sora looked at the screen showing the hunt which had begun before ignoring it, he instead checked his body and found a few things off with him. his body was weaker than his main body, along with his energy cultivation was tweaked. as for his shadow cultivation, it was not within this world,

'It's still new tech, I would have not even done this if the system didn't tell me it was safe.' Sora thought before looking up, and once he did his eyebrows shot up as he saw 20 minutes had passed. just a few seconds for him to check himself, yet 10 minutes suddenly went by.

'I see... it's the Time dilation formations. those who pay attention would see everything happening normally. but once they ignore it, the events which are happening ar speed dozens of times faster would take place.' Sora thought in amazement, with his one could have years worth of improvement within a short amount of time.

'I wonder how much power this thing uses, it's newly created, so it isn't refined. the emperor had no choice but to do this, to lay the groundwork for me this is the best way.' Sora thought calmly,

"as expected of the first place holder, you don't seem to put many minds to this whole thing." a young man with long blonde hair said with a charming smile, Sora looked up and for a moment he thought the emperor was talking to him, but this was none other than the prince the empire,

"No, I just wanted to check out my condition, and how good this breakthrough in technology is," Sora said with a smile, the young man's eyebrow raised slightly, shouldn't that have been the first thing Sora have to done upon appearing within this world? then again, Sora was new to the cultivation world, so it's going to take time to build up such instances.

"... Prince. by chance you not trying to win my heart over," Sora said with a horrified look seeing the way the prince was looking at him. The Prince froze for a moment upon hearing Sora's words before his eye twitched madly.

"You joke... I wanted to get to know the person who would most likely become my brother-in-law." The Prince said with a smile, Sora nodded slightly with slight realization. the prince went on to sit next to Sora and began talking,

before they knew it, the first group was finished and it was finished, this time Sora was a part of the first group, which allowed Sora to break free from this guy. with a flash, Sora found himself appearing in a county, Sora tried to move but found that something was stopping him from doing so.

looking up ahead, he saw numbers suddenly appear, and began counting backward from 3, until they reached 1.

"happy hunting..." a voice appeared in the sky, and with that, Sora was able to move. stepping forward, Sora went on to go out searching for lifeforms.

'everyone around me is nothing more than 0 and 1, none of them give off a lifeforce for me to sense.' Sora thought before sighing softly, holding out his hands in a T shape, he pointed out with a finger and began spinning around.

the ultimate Finger began was shot out, shooting out a laser from Sora's finger which didn't stop. of course, Sora was not spinning at normal speed, he was spinning so fast that the trees which fell were shredded, the fell cleanly down, not moving slightly to the right or left,

the mountains, trees, and so on around Sora disappeared, leaving Sora standing alone for as far as the eyes could see. Sora stepped forward, but the world began glitching, he stepped forward but glitched back at the spot he was at.

Sora was stunned for a moment, but as he took another step another happened which left him slightly confused, but he could guess what had happened. his actions must have put the computer running this thing to its fullest,

"That was close..." a young man with glasses said while looking at the screen showing Sora, if the emperor didn't have them move all power to this, then the whole thing would have crashed, and who knows how long it would have taken to bring it back to life.

"... that kid seems to have improved." the Emperor's right-hand man said with a slight shock, Sora seemed stronger within this VR world than when he was outside, which was shocking. how much of a freak was Sora?

"Should we take him out?" The young man with glasses asked, Sora had killed everyone who had entered the VR, out of the 2,500 people within his group, he was the last one standing. with one move, Sora killed everyone and even the monster.

with over 50,000 points at the moment, Sora was sure to remain within the top spot, but the emperor's right-hand man shook his head, allowing Sora to get more points he had the man with glasses control all of the beasts, and have them rush toward Sora, and for them to be stronger,

meanwhile, outside the VR world, the crowd was going crazy seeing the whole VR world crash, how could they not after seeing Sora's actions which went against logic? many began calling out the empire for cheating, but they were attacked by a fan club which has been built around Sora a few weeks ago.

how could Sora not have a fan club? with his looks, strength, and past, it was something that drew many to him. People are drawn toward those who are unique, then again there would always be people who found find something to hate.

"wait, why is the beast stronger?" someone called out upon seeing something off with the VR world, everyone hearing his words looked closer, and indeed, the number above the monsters which showed the cultivation and strength measurement of the monster was higher

before the weakest beast would have a strength measurement of 4,000, but now it was 10,000. they also noticed that the beast was locked onto Sora and were all rushing toward him,

"This is the secret stage, those who manage to outlast everyone within the VR world would enter this mode. the reverse hunt." the voice sound out to explain things, stunning those who heard this.

they watched as Sora spent the next hour killing every monster within the VR world with one move. hours passed, and after an hour passed, the number of points collected was over 1 million points, far higher than the current second place which had 3,103 points.

with that done, Sora left the dungeon and reappeared back where the prince was sitting watching things play out with a stunned look. everyone else who was watching was also stunned, how could they not be stunned?

well, once Sora appeared everyone moved to talk to him, secretly annoying Sora, but he took this chance to speak with these new talents, who know if they could be useful. time quickly passed, and the remaining 2 teams came back from the dungeon and the ranking for the dungeon was shown.

in the first place, Sora stood with 1,021,901 points.

In second place, is James Fire Stone with 90,210 points,

the 3rd place is Tom Everysnow with 40,0129 points

and so on, those within the 10th to 4th place had points ranging from 30,000 to 40,000, with this one could see how abnormal James and Sora were. these two became the viewpoints of everyone, with Sora standing out with more than 10 times that of second place,

those who manage to come within the top 100 places were allowed to move onto the next stage, that being the tournament, of course, those who didn't make it... mostly those within the Sora group were given a second chance.

they took some time, but soon those within the top 10,000 places were chosen. everyone who took place was given a reward, everyone here was the future of the empire, so, of course, the emperor would reward them.

now it was time to pick and find out who would take the first place. well, everyone already knew who would take first place. Sora of course was everyone pick on who would take first place

they were given a day to rest, the next day they shall finish up the whole thing. Sora was about to head off from his seat, but he was stopped by the prince who wished to invite him to a restaurant, to which Sora agree.

"When was the last time you eat?" The prince asked, making Sora fall into deep thought for smiling slightly,

"it has been more than a year unless tea and wine count," Sora said with a smile, the prince nodded slightly. many cultivators forget to eat as absorbing energy from the air around them gave them enough energy to go without food, people would only eat food for pleasure, and thats all.

but some wish to become the best chef, they walk the path of cooking, allowing them to be able to cook the best food. food so good that it could have many effects, which can help cultivators, in their cultivation.

Sora had never had such food, he never had an intreast in eating. but who knows, if the food was good then he might look for a chef to join one of the 14 positions. So, he followed the prince, while the prince went on to secretly call someone to meet him at the restaurant...
